This slightly peculiar game has a surprising amount of appeal, despite a few small flaws. Pretty environments paired with decent replayability provides a fun, relaxing few hours, at the very least.

3/5* These Are Just Notes Taken While I Played The Game* The Good: The level designs in this game are very detailed and some of them are very beautiful. Credz to the level **** treasures in this game are good and overall have decent amount of variety and quality of each type and as you progress getting better metal detectors you will get better treasure and higher quality. The Bad: Traveling these maps are not fun when you have to back track these levels over and over as you progress through the story mode to get money and to complete these levels at 100%. This leads me to another issuer.Unstuck is a feature that seems helpful at first but it is NOT. If you are walking around any of the bigger maps and your pretty far from the start of the level, if you get stuck then you hit unstuck in the menu. This brings you back all the way to the START of the level. This can be very frustrating as traveling in this game can be painfully slow even with running being a feature in this game. Tools. This game doesn’t do anything to provide more tools to assist in finding treasure easier and reduce the wandering aimlessly when going back to levels with newer metal detectors to find treasures that may have been missed with a lesser quality metal detector. The Ugly: Pacing for those who want to 100% each level. So the issue here is an accumulation of “The Bad” talking points. After 23 hrs I just said nah as I rather play something else then back track 8 times to drudge through the levels to 100% them. IMO: All in all with my talking pints. I am aware there is a second game in development and hope to see better improvements and more long term support as I saw in the reviews and discussions that the devs were quick to stop bug fixing and supporting this game as soon as they started working on their next project. All in all this game is fun for a bit and if your not looking to 100% this game then play story and you will have a decent time. This game to me is worth it on sale but not full price especially since there is a second game in development and will likely be a lot better then this one. Thanks for reading my ted talk! I am actually quite sad because this game had some intereting potential. And developers were surprisingly close to deliver us an unavoidable indie game. But instead, we have this fancy and intriguing air-filled package. Fresh air yes, but you will soon realize it's gone after something like an hour of gameplay. The main flaw of 'Treasure Hunter Simulator' is its crude repetitiveness, but it also has many others. The objectives are not always clear. Sometimes they are shown on the map, sometimes not, so you waste time on each mission only to realize that you just had to look at the big yellow dot floating in the corner of the map to succeed. The graphics are barely decent: the landscapes and lighting are great but as soon as you get close to the details, it gets ugly as hell. The animation your character does every time you pick up an object often made me vomit because you see the ground and the objects in question in the most hideous and pixelated way. In addition to its repetitive gameplay, the game is just awfully slow. I finished it by running from start to finish. So why add the ability to walk in this case? You can upgrade your stuff but yeah, the gameplay doesn't even change a bit doing so. It is buggy and unrewarding.
