Easily the best entry in the long-running series to date, though Farming Simulator 22 might not have a picture perfect PS5 debut, it does augment the series already robust strategic and micro-management fundamentals with a number of new additions and features that make it an erstwhile choice for series veterans. Though newcomers will likely struggle with the tutorial and learning curve, Farming Simulator 22 soon becomes an engaging time sink that not only taxes the brain duly, but helps to provide a modicum of insight into the sheer amount of hard graft that goes into one of the most challenging occupations in the world.

Farming Simulator 22 represents the most complete embodiment of the spirit of the series signed by Giants Software. An uncompromising simulation experience, which makes its relaxed rhythms and the vast range of contents its proud distinctive element.

Farming Simulator 22 re-proposes the formula that made the Giants Software series famous, with all its strengths and weaknesses. The new features (new crops, cross-platform multiplayer, new build mode, seasonal cycles) are interesting, but the frequent graphical glitches should be addressed.

Farming Simulator 22 is the best installment of the series, but it's not perfect. Some issues could have been easily avoided, while others are clearly the results of choices. But we can be sure that mods will fix many things soon. Then the veterans of the series will love it.

Farming Simulator 2022 continues the ten-year tradition of agricultural simulator, bringing some nice innovations but with little depth.

So at the end of the day, it’s hard to call Farming Simulator 22 a perfect game. It could be, and I’m pretty sure the mods will once again improve this great franchise in a way that Giants Software should study closely and keep in mind before the next version is launched. Yes, it’s just a matter of time until modders end up delivering this must-have polishing, but of course, this isn’t the right way to go for such a popular franchise.

Farming Simulator 22 massively expands upon the management aspect of past games, giving greater importance to your crops once you’ve harvested them. Building supply chains is immensely rewarding, even if it can take what feels like an eternity to get your business up and running the way you want to. Interesting new crops, like grapes and olives, add gameplay variety to the tried and tested loop, while an abundance of licensed machinery gives you a wealth of vehicles and tools to work with. It’s the best entry in Giants Software’s series yet, but like a popular British yeast extract, you’ll either love it or hate it.

Very good game. Doesn't really get boring because it has collectibles and many other things. It perfectly simulates farming.

Game is much better then 19. It is definitely made a big step in a good direction with loads of new things to play around with. The graphics also look so much better and there has been allot of attention made in small areas that improve of the overall game. Sadly thou like all new games these days there is a few bugs that can be annoying. Like for example at 1 point I changed the time to 120x to skip the night time and then when I switched back to real time the clock was ticking normally but the sky continued flickering. Plus there is a glitch that been in the game since I can remember and yet they still haven't patched it. When you park a vehicle up against a wall or invisible barrier then get out it teleports you through the wall. Things like this really let the game down as it makes the game feel old and stop it from feeling like a AAA title. I know some people mite call this being picky but I don't see why it cant be fixed and maybe it teleport you on the opposite side of the vehicle if something is blocking your way. Also the driving could be improved a small amount. Not so much when your driving round fields and stuff but more when you're driving on roads or when you crash. Cars just feel a bit basic like your driving in a lego game or something. Plus if you drive into another car you literally flip round all over the place. You should make it so traffic or parked cars aren't static object and it knocks them backwards. Its a pain when you're towing something and you hit a car with your trailer and it sends you all over the place. I know this is a farming simulator but still you are virtually forced to turn traffic off because when your turning around on your field and hit a car the penalty for it is extreme. Another change is there should be different traffic options like low, medium and high. So far its on or off and when you have it on you hardly ever see cars. You could have a motorway (Auto barn/highway) and you would see 1 car once every 30 seconds. Little changes like the ones I have said would make the game feel so much more realistic and overall improve the feel whilst playing it. But other then this the farming side of things which is of course where the focus is mainly set in a farming game is amazing. I think it would be better if you had things like tram lines (You could mod 19 for this), or checking crop moisture, or have a chance in your animals to be killed and so on. Maybe not have it so you see the body but maybe drop a notification saying an animal was killed from... Ofcourse have the option to toggle these things in game settings. This would make it far more realistic and be fun to make it more challenging as at the moment literally nothing can go wrong making the game way too easy.

It can be enjoyable, but the longer you play the more boring it gets. All you do is farm, wich is essentially the same thing you got to do over and over again.

Good game but unplayable on console. There are no 'Dead Zone' setting on console so it's literally impossible to do anything other than assign AI to do the work for you. I don't have any kind of stick drift on any game what so ever, but on FS 22 - I run into trees, cars, buildings, rocks and rivers. It's impossible to drive on a road or in a straight line, which is a problem in this game.

At one point it was like my character took their glasses off or something the whole screen went blury and wouldn't go back to normal. The controls are absolutely horrendous like no prompt to confirm, the buttons just jump around in functionality one minute it's X to accept the next minute it's Square or R3. No wonder it's free on PS plus. Absolutely horrible.
