To each his own opinion but for this one reviewer Legend of Dragoon is truly legendary.

RPG fans may find this one a little boring, however novices to the genre may be captivated by the lush graphics and simplistic gameplay.

If I never again see a story that contains color-coded heroes, it will be too soon.

Borrows too heavily from other games and lacks that "hook" to make it worth dealing with excessive defending, a thin story you'd expect to see on Power Rangers, and aural competence.

When all is said and done, The LoD is like your typical one-night stand: it's OK for a quick fix but it's nothing that will get you emotionally involved.

Despite the hype, Legend of Dragoon is a soulless creature, a subpar game held aloft by deceptive marketing. Don't trust it.

I've only been playing this game for about two hours, but I've already noticed a **** “Additional” action during combat is extremely difficult.Enemy defense seems designed assuming you'll use this “Additional” action, and failing it forces you into prolonged **** me be clear: the overall quality of this game is **** it's true there are some disappointing aspects.

The battle system, story line, and character development in this game are all stellar, however, this game loses points for it's lack of customization and linear world map.

I bought the game off ebay because of the hype and beat it and this game's pathetic. I have quite the collection of Jrpgs between Snes, PS1 and PS2 and Legend of Dragoon is easily one of the worst I own. The story is pathetic (if you can call that a story), the characters are boring, the pace is just a corridor like FFXIII without anything else to do beside the main story (no sidequests) and the battle system is nothing more than an archaic turn based system even by Snes standards. It does have a tacky timing based button press to successfully make the attacks but what is the point really? This is just as stupid as these days QTE's... I'm not hating on the game, I'm just being honest and this game's not even worth the 7 bucks I paid for it. Now for some reason the prices for this game are skyrocketing from 5-7 bucks to $35 used and like $90 new. Not worth it.

The storyline is mediocre at best in my opinion. Gameplay is designed to be original, but the misfire of tapping and timing takes me out of the experience and delays the progress of the game. There is no open world no matter what the map states. If you want an open world feel. Play most of the FinalFantasy games and you’ll see. I made it to disc 3 and I couldn’t play anymore. Yes, the combat system irritated me that much. I will be selling it or trashing it. Worst RPG next to Chrono Cross.
