The games themselves are the real stars here, only really let down by lack of 60hz support.

Using this game as a whole to rate the classic super mario games, they are absolutely classics and i still have fun playing them to this day.

Super Mario All-Stars is undeniably a shameless attempt to make money from old games on Nintendo's part, but it is an enjoyable and fun shot at gamers' wallets that's held up well in the 25 years since the debut of Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario All-Stars is precisely the same game you played on your SNES seventeen years ago-graphics, soundtrack, copyright and all. While these classic games haven't lost any of their appeal, this still feels an awful lot like an overpriced Virtual Console title.

These may be some of the greatest games ever made, but this package isn't worth double dipping for again.

Having a copy of those cult Super Mario games from the 8-bit era is almost reason enough for a gamer to get this collection. But it's still a "light" edition of Super Mario All-Stars (the Super Nintendo one), with few bonuses - the liflet is pretty but not really full of surprises nor knowledge, and the audio CD has 10 tracks and 10 sound effects that, sure, you will love hearing crystal clear again. But it could have done more.

The anniversary-party favor, Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition, fails on every conceivable level, and a few inconceivable ones, too.

I don't have this, but I do have all the games on 3DS VC. You should totally try these games out. Spoilers: Lost Levels is hard. 3 is the easiest. These are the best NES games along with more!

Great games that are very fun, but the fact that this doesn't even include Super Mario World is a bad deal in my eyes, especially for a Wii game.

I was originally ecstatic for the anniversary edition of Super Mario All-Stars! Four classic Mario games in one? Awesome! But then I found out that it was a **** an SNES game. Super Mario All-Stars was originally released on the SNES and Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World was released around a year later. For some reason, on Mario's 25th anniversary, Nintendo decided to release a port of the inferior version of the game without Super Mario World. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would rather have had that game. That aside, the games themselves are great and the graphics have a really nostalgic feel for older gamers. The original Super Mario Bros. is the first game included in this pack with only a few changes. For example, multiplayer is a bit changed up so whenever a player wins, the next player takes over which is nice. Also, some glitches like the Minus World were removed. One of my least favorite Mario games, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is the second game included. It is basically a much harder version of the original game but with completely new levels. Kind of like how New Super Luigi U is to New Super Mario Bros. U. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone who isn't a complete expert. Seriously, the game will make you cry and throw your Wii remote. The true sequel Super Mario Bros. 2 (an underrated game) is also included. You can play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Toad and they all have their own unique abilities. The level design is also fantastic. In one level, you may have to escape from Phanto while holding a key while in the next you may be throwing bombs at a mouse wearing sunglasses. Super Mario Bros. 2's bold new step for the series is why I like it so much. The last game included is Super Mario Bros. 3. Personally, I think this is the best game included in the pack. The addition of the Raccoon Leaf, the world map, the Koopalings, and the new world setup (lava, giant, forest, beach, etc.) really makes this a classic. Overall, Super Mario All-Stars could've been much more. The games included are good but if Nintendo was going to do a port, they could've at least done a port of All-Stars + Mario World.

Why does this game even exist? You could buy all the games on the Virtual Console for alot cheaper. Plus, the physics are very different on Mario 1, and the lost levels is super hard.

Absolute waste of money. It's a SNES game on the Wii. Why would I pay £30 on a game that I could get for £5, they don't include anything new in the game, hell, they don't even give you Super Mario All Stars Mario World, it's just the original version of Super Mario All Stars. Don't recommend it at all. You could buy a Super Nintendo and Mario All Stars cheaper than this terrible Wii port.
