Rock of the Dead does little to rejuvenate the struggling music game genre. Rock of the Dead is an interesting idea, but unfortunately the execution falls flat. If you want a new interesting take on the genre and want to learn a real instrument, you're money is better spent on Rock Band 3.

The multiplayer mode also feels sort of tacked on; you and a friend can head out and take on the shuffling hordes, but it's basically the same experience.

Rock of the Dead isn't bad; it's just flat. The music isn't good, the visuals aren't good, and the gameplay isn't all that interesting.

There's a great idea lurking around in Rock Of The Dead's dumb-fun concept, but instead the game winds up being dumb even when it isn't trying to be.

This game does not in fact rock, but succeeds in doing quite the opposite.
