I can see anyone coming back to this again and again over the next few years, and that's more than enough to justify the peanuts they're asking for Audiosurf.

This is my favourite "modern" game. I can pick this up and enjoy it any day. I can play it for half an hour, or hours upon hours depending on pure willpower.
The only limitation is your own music collection. One of the best gaming experiences I ever had was trying different genres and tracks and seeing which fit the game the most, and trying to get the world record on every track. At one point I was a competition with a random guy from halfway around the world that was trying to beat me on two tracks I had world records with. Every time he beat me I would spend a few hours shaving off a second trying to beat his score, and every time I beat his score he'd do the same.
I've played this game on my first gaming pc, my laptop, and now my steam deck. I wish there was a VR version now that I've played Thumper (201) on PSVR2 which has much a similar style. I liked AudioSurf 2 but never quite liked it as much as AudioSurf 1.

Fun game with good synchronization. Audiosurf is a fun little game to pass time. Although the game is simple and repetitive it remains fun to play. You choose a song, wait for the game to load and then ride your music! Pick up blocks, make matches and score the highest amount of points. The game is a little broken because when you want to score high on the leader board, you just pick an incredible long and difficult song, name it whatever song you want, and the game will post your score in the appropriate track leader board. The animations are cool and the sync between the music and the pathway is pretty well done. I enjoy playing it when I am bored or waiting on something else to download. For the low price, it is worth it!

Obviously a work of passion, Audiosurf is a game that must not be missed by anyone, especially with an above average interest in music.

The arcade style of gameplay in which the difficulty increases to make new levels more challenging is going to bore the novelty seekers, but hardcores will appreciate the virtually unlimited replay value, the two-player mode, and the online leaderboard.

At the very worst, it's an ingenious multimedia toy that'll have you dusting off the untouched corners of your MP3 collection for a few happy evenings. But for those twitching fingers that still enjoy the thrill of the high score, Audiosurf has the potential to become a bite-sized obsession thanks to its quick fix gameplay and infinite musical possibilities.

Best game out of the 2 audiosurfs, to say sadly, Audiosurf 2 wasn't cutting the edge as most.

Is your house buried in snow? Or are you bored and you have nothing else to play? Then this is your game. While listening to your own music, you gather colored blocks to earn a high score to beat friends or even get on the global leaderboard on the games website. If you get the wrong colors, the screen shakes, resets your ship, and you lose points. Overall its fun and good time wasting game.

The Idea is great: Experiencing music more intense while actually playing the song. Game speed adapts wonderfully to the music. But there are nine bad game modes instead of a single good one. Two game modes are boring. The others are totally complicated. If you want to play with a friend one will have to play with mouse and the other with a controller. The problem is that controllers can't compete with mouse. Sadly the lack of elementary functions like the ones above ruin the game.

Audiosurf is definently a casual game. It has no real purpose or what to achieve, but worldwide stats make this more enjoyable. Most enjoyable when just want to listen to music loud and surf with the beat.
