Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is an underwhelming attempt to build on the strong foundation of the original with a new story in which teenagers have been replaced by whining millennials.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is a retro horror adventure game with strong narrative options, but it feels a bit too familiar.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals doesn't innovate much on gameplay and when it tries to, it could've done better. However, the story touches on heavy themes of grief and belonging while giving closure to its predecessor. Offering choices that escape the 'good versus evil' dichotomy, the game is an allegory to accepting what is outside our control.

I played Oxenfree II: Lost Signals on my iPad with Netflix and really enjoyed it. The character conversations were fun and kept me hooked, and the overall vibe was great. The crossover with characters from the first game was cool, even though I barely remember the original. The art style is the same, though I feel the first game had a bit more gameplay. It took me forever to finish the last episode since the game doesn’t save mid-chapter, but in the end it was a fun and well-made adventure.

The team banter wasn't as frequent as in the first game, and the main sidekick for sure got on my nerves and triggered my dislike for the clingy, weak, shy, type of person at times, but the radio conversations where really good, and the friendship that developed with the guy in question was also awesome. For me, it might even be a good thing that the horror wasn't as scary this time around, as it made it so that the story for me could land more, and be more grounded. A good follow up, I would say, but then again I was also a fan of the studios Afterlife game, as well. :)

It's not often a game keeps its claws in after the credits roll, but Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals will stay with me for much longer than just another playthrough.

Oxenfree II is a wonderful ghost story in more ways than one. The ending depends on the person telling it, it takes place on a dark and stormy night, and there are literal ghosts involved. I, unfortunately, can’t currently compare it to its predecessor, but what I was hoping for out of this one was a spooky-vibes adventure that was a decent mind-screw. I’m happy to say that Lost Signals delivered on that with an extra spoonful of charm on top, and I can’t wait to experience it all again.

The dialogue was amazing and I found myself enjoying this game more than the original, It feels very similar with the radio and all but incredible. One of my favorite games of 2023

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals brings the same level of charm and creepiness as its predecessor, and though its new perspective doesn’t quite push narrative or gameplay elements far enough into the unknown, it’s still an excellent scary story for a dark and stormy night.

The first Oxenfree was hardly a masterpiece, and the continuation in Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals is even further. The plot is interesting and intriguing, especially if you understand all the references to the first part and can connect the events of both games in the series in your head. But an annoying companion and not the most exciting gameplay spoil the impression, overshadowing the amazing acting and great atmosphere. Perhaps it's time for the Night School Studio team to move on and come up with something new - the developers either can't or don't want to implement fresh ideas in this series, and even Oxenfree fans probably won't want to get all the same in the third part.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is another spooky island adventure, and while there are aspects to be enjoyed, it ends up feeling a bit too much like its predecessor.

Despite some witty dialogue and a few poignant moments, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is an unexciting talkie-walkie with conversation interruptions and dull gameplay.

Oxenfree 2 is a disappointing sequel that takes the flawed gem of a first game and rubs out almost everything that made it shine. A reasonable plot and neat audiovisual effects find themselves submerged under ponderous navigation, flat characters, and overly regimented dialogue.

Nothing can top the first game, but i really enjoyed this one too. I liked the characters, the dialogue and personally i liked how the story turned out to be.

Great visuals, good OST, and a captivating atmosphere can describe this game in the beginning. I loved the UI and how the narrative works. It felt pretty unique and different than what I'm used to. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is quite weak. The game slows down when it is supposed to push us in and becomes repetitive with time. The dialogs are good but not enough to sustain the game. Sad because it had a lot of potential for me.
