Rose Guns Days -Season 1-85
Jun 15, 2026
Rose Guns Days Season 1 is a stylish and compelling start to Ryukishi07’s mafia-themed visual novel, using its alternate-history postwar Japan setting to frame a dramatic underworld conflict. While its opening is uneven and the localization still has some rough edges, strong character work, flashy combat presentation, and a memorable finale make this English release an easy recommendation for 07th Expansion fans.

007 First Light85
Jun 2, 2026
007 First Light successfully captures the essence of James Bond through a cinematic spy thriller packed with stylish infiltration, exciting action, and strong character performances. While it does not offer the same level of player freedom as Hitman, IO Interactive balances stealth, combat, and storytelling in a way that feels distinctly Bond. The campaign's impressive environments, engaging mission design, and confident presentation make it a compelling first outing for the franchise, even if some systems feel more scripted than they initially appear.

Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered85
Jun 1, 2026
Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered serves as a heartfelt and surprisingly satisfying conclusion to Aquaplus' long-running saga. While its opening hours are slow to build momentum, the sequel rewards patient players with emotionally resonant storytelling, meaningful character growth, and a far more engaging combat system than its predecessor. Enhanced strategic depth, rewarding progression mechanics, and a poignant finale help elevate the experience, even if some side content and technical blemishes hold it back from greatness.

Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes70
Jun 1, 2026
Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes successfully translates the series' signature blend of unsettling horror, oppressive atmosphere, and oversized nightmare environments into virtual reality. Playing as Shadow Six offers an intriguing new perspective on familiar events, while excellent sound design and effective stealth encounters make the experience genuinely tense. Although strong technical performance and faithful adaptation help the game stand out among VR horror titles, uneven pacing, occasional control frustrations, and a story heavily dependent on prior series knowledge prevent it from reaching its full potential. Fans of Little Nightmares and immersive horror will find plenty to enjoy, even if the adventure feels somewhat short for its price and concludes on a divisive note.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight85
May 29, 2026
It probably sounds ironic to call a LEGO game a near must-play of the year, but LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight absolutely deserves that acclaim. Brilliant world design, heartfelt humor, and concentrated scale all coalesce for a meticulously crafted adventure that’s well worth your time regardless of your affinity or history with Batman as a brand. Despite its combat and storytelling not shining nearly as brilliantly, they don’t ruin what is otherwise a wonderful experience that I hope becomes a cornerstone of LEGO titles moving forward.

Mina the Hollower is a masterfully crafted action adventure that confidently exceeds the towering expectations surrounding Yacht Club Games’ long-awaited follow-up to Shovel Knight. Combining challenging dungeon design, satisfying combat, rewarding exploration, and clever environmental puzzle solving, the game constantly pushes players to engage with its intricately layered world. While its narrative presence is surprisingly light and a few visual clarity issues occasionally interrupt the flow, nearly every gameplay system feels purposeful, polished, and deeply rewarding. Mina the Hollower stands as one of the finest retro-inspired games in years and a defining achievement for the studio.

Bubsy 4D90
May 21, 2026
Bubsy 4D is an unexpectedly excellent revival that transforms one of gaming’s most infamous mascots into the star of a genuinely terrific 3D platformer. Fabraz delivers expressive movement, tightly interconnected mechanics, inventive level design, and replay-focused progression that make every stage consistently engaging. While the self-aware humor and surprisingly sincere tone help Bubsy feel more likable than ever, the adventure ends far too soon, leaving its strongest ideas feeling slightly underexplored. Even so, Bubsy 4D stands as the franchise’s best outing by a landslide and one of the year’s most refreshing platformers.
