Basing Rep Bonus upon the choice of weapon you decide to use and whether it's the suit or body armour, there's a great sense of 'risk & reward' to the game; it's just a shame the actual action doesn't require you to put that much on the line, with its entirely predictable nature.

A pretty mixed bag. The last levels are a real blast, and the final cut-scene a genuine thrill. You're ready for more action at the very moment the game decides there is no more.

Rebellion has done well by the Miami Vice name with this sordid blend of guns, boats, and drugs.

A mixed bag all around I should have bought Syphon Filter over this, but still an okay game.

Brilliant game . The more you play the better it gets . INTENSE action on every (well made and varying) levels with excellent character mechanics and challenging AI make each mission great fun, also there are bonus items to be found which give you advantages later in the game. Spend time between missions strategically buying and selling drugs to make cash, decoding 'flash-ram' to unlock special features and upgrading your weapons and outfits. If you're a fan of action shooters that require some deal of thought and manual accuracy , this game is a must have... forget all the other reviews and just give it a try!

Second only to "Syphon Filter" in the handheld action stakes, Miami Vice really is a most pleasant surprise. Attractive, enjoyable, with a raft of extras, this is just what a movie license should be. [Issue 144, p.82]

A perfectly OK game, let down by monotony - but with "Syphon Filter" and "Vice City Stories" around, why bother? [Sept 2006, p.82]

As far as film tie-ins go, not as bad as "Catwoman," but not as great as "Spider-man." [Sept 2006, p.73]

It's a pretty short game, the story isn't all that engaging, and the story presentation could stand some polish. [Oct 2006, p.86]

We're not in movie licence disaster territory here by any means, but things could have been a lot better and definitely should have been a wee bit longer.

The shoot-'em-up action is well designed, but there's just not enough variety to sustain your interest.

Other than that, Miami Vice is the most unremarkable eight hours you'll sppend en route to a lousy concclusion this year! [Oct. 2006, p.91]
