The Order of Giants is literally an old-school DLC in the truest sense of the word. Instead of adding a new region or new mechanics to the game, it simply offers more of the same. One can't help but wish they had gone the expansion pack route rather than the classic DLC route. Because a fantastic game like The Great Circle deserves more than this.
The Order of Giants adds a pinch to the base game’s story without significantly changing its meaning. You’ll explore new corners of Rome, though most of the time you’ll be wandering underground and through interiors. The fact that it can be finished in under four hours and doesn’t really offer anything new is its main drawback. Still, the fresh puzzles and well-made story animations help make up for the short playtime.
There'd be nothing wrong with the “more of the same” approach of this DLC, if only the story didn't feel so incomplete.

Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants doesn’t quite rise to the incredible heights of the original game’s story, but what’s here is more of what I wanted. More incredible locations, puzzles and maze-like tombs, dripping with atmosphere and history. What more could a budding archaeologist ask for?

If the main adventure with your favorite action archaeologist wasn't enough for you, spend a few more hours with him and uncover one more unsolved mystery. It's a pleasant time spent, but the DLC doesn't bring anything that we didn't already see in the original game.

since everyone here seems to think 20$ is worth 20$ in 1995, I`m obliged to leave some love here for Machine Games and Dr. Jones. Halfway through I thought it might be a money grab, but after completing the game it's fair to say the game was worth at least 15$ (5$ tip for the devs for making an amazing main game). the spirit of Indi is alive and well. rejoice true oldschool fans. hopefully more to come. much love.

Atmospheric story expansion set in Rome, which only tells a short subplot and offers little new apart from a few puzzles.

What it may lack in scope, The Order of Giants makes up for with some of the best and most inventive puzzles in the game. It's disappointing that we didn't get another expansive environment to explore, but this is still an engaging mini-adventure that's rich in lore and quintessentially Indy. Those playing The Great Circle for the first time might appreciate the detour a lot more, but putting on that wide-brimmed fedora again still feels great (if only I could get John Williams' theme music out of my head).

The Order of the Giants is a painfully missed opportunity. A DLC that is undoubtedly well put together, consistent with the style and tone of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle — at times even daring, with a darker, more unsettling atmosphere — but one that suffers from a very short lifespan and a chronic lack of truly memorable moments. The new puzzles are enjoyable and well designed, the new areas are excellently crafted (though many are unfortunately underground and thus feel rather closed-in), and there’s even a solid final battle, but it’s all over in just a few hours. And MachineGames is asking €20 for it. Perhaps a bit too much for so little. Hopefully, a second DLC will come along that can elevate and build upon this first attempt.

6.5/10. Not bad, could be better. I played whole game from the very beginning, which honestly wasn’t the best idea. You’ll need both the lighter and the oxygen tank if you want to explore every spot in this DLC.

To put this into perspective, this DLC costs the same price as Silksong. Yes folks, it is that bad. "Rip-off" doesn't even begin to describe it. The DLC itself in isolation is good. Intriguing story, good head-scratcher puzzles and decent but somewhat easy final boss. But it all took me barely 4 hours to blitz through the entirety of it, including the collectibles. I was left crushed after I was teleported back to the Vatican after the final boss and I couldn't believe that it was the end of it. i genuinely thought there had to be more, but nope. This is so infuriating! What they teased about the Giants in the main game set my expectations up through the stratosphere for the DLC but the fall from up there for me is just pure pain because there is absolutely none of that in here. The base game is worth every penny and this looks like something that should have been included as free post-release content as a big thank-you to the players that made the base game successful. NOT AS A DLC WORTH 20 BUCKS!

SummaryIndiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants takes you deeper into the story of the Nephilim Order, the tribe of giants introduced in the base game story. Set during the events of the main game, this DLC introduces stunning new locations, intricate puzzles, terrifying new foes and more.
