6.5/10. Not bad, could be better. I played whole game from the very beginning, which honestly wasn’t the best idea. You’ll need both the lighter and the oxygen tank if you want to explore every spot in this DLC.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is a mediocre DLC for one of the best games of 2024. And ask for almost 1/3 of the cost of the main game blasphemy and greed of Microsoft for it. First of all, The Order of Giants is nothing more than a secondary task in one of the starting locations and it does not expand the plot in any way. It takes literally 4-5 hours, if you're talking about riddles. There are no new gameplay elements. There are no particularly beautiful scenes either. Locations - ordinary caves in the form of a linear corridor. The Order of Giants can only be recommended to fans of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and genre. You will also enjoy the riddles if the original game comes in. As a DLC for $5-10 would be ok, or if it was also included in Game Pass. But not for $20 as they try to sell it.

This expansion commits the three worst sins content of this kind can commit: it adds nothing in terms of gameplay, it's far too short, and it fails to fix any of the main game's issues—such as, in this case, the horrendous enemy AI. In any case, it does feature a couple of quite good puzzles. My rating: ***

since everyone here seems to think 20$ is worth 20$ in 1995, I`m obliged to leave some love here for Machine Games and Dr. Jones. Halfway through I thought it might be a money grab, but after completing the game it's fair to say the game was worth at least 15$ (5$ tip for the devs for making an amazing main game). the spirit of Indi is alive and well. rejoice true oldschool fans. hopefully more to come.
much love.

Metacritic strikes again. Deleting the review apparently isn't possible, so I'm forced to leave this text here instead.

I collected 1000g in the original, for me one of the best games of last years, however in this DLC I was expecting to see Rome main sightseeings (I'll not share the final spoiler but that is not enough) and the reality is that more than 75% of your time you're in the Rome sewer, underground, caves, etc, uff you have so much to show about Rome and you decide to do a DLC where you invest the most part of the time in the undergrounds. On top of that, one of the puzzles is very confusing, looks like the original translation for PT-BR was not well done in this part, so the experience wasn't good. This DLC is good but just this, not at the same level of base game, for me it was deception, this a good addition but not enough. I invested more time to collect everything and make the 250g (And again, another bug for notes collection, I made 61/60 notes) and I think I spent more than 6hours, but according to others you can do it in 3 hours, so not a good deal for 20USD x 3 hours. Maybe it worth in a promotion but not in the current price

To put this into perspective, this DLC costs the same price as Silksong. Yes folks, it is that bad. "Rip-off" doesn't even begin to describe it. The DLC itself in isolation is good. Intriguing story, good head-scratcher puzzles and decent but somewhat easy final boss. But it all took me barely 4 hours to blitz through the entirety of it, including the collectibles. I was left crushed after I was teleported back to the Vatican after the final boss and I couldn't believe that it was the end of it. i genuinely thought there had to be more, but nope. This is so infuriating! What they teased about the Giants in the main game set my expectations up through the stratosphere for the DLC but the fall from up there for me is just pure pain because there is absolutely none of that in here. The base game is worth every penny and this looks like something that should have been included as free post-release content as a big thank-you to the players that made the base game successful. NOT AS A DLC WORTH 20 BUCKS!
