Homestead Arcana is a surface level farm-life sim/adventure game that can be best described as a vegetable that is too misshapen to be sold in the grocery store on its own. Rather bound up with the other ‘rejects’ for a cheaper price.

Homestead Arcana is a game that, although it feels like it lacks work, it is clear that it knows how to bring new things to the genre, so it can be excellent for someone saturated with conventional farm games. For Serenity Forge, if they want to continue down this path, this title can be a very solid foundation for a promising future.

I adore this game. The art is cute, the gameplay is relaxing when you want it to be but challenging for progression.

Viele jammern rum und checken auch nicht, das dies kein triple a game ist für 80 euro. Das hier kostet gerade einmal ¼ des preises. Mich hats gut unterhalten, am ende wurde esetwas komisch und langatmig aber trotzdem hats bock gemacht. Finde das letzte kapitel hätte man weglassen können bzw das man den sumpf gegen die stadt austauscht, weil man zuviele zaubertränke braucht und der fackelzauber ist useless. Da reicht jeder andere. Aber es ist solide, sieht sehr schön aus und macht echt spaß.

Farming is tedious and unintuitive, dungeon crawling get old quick. The game feels like it has no direction and the trend of making the sex of the character creation non binary is just ridiculous. Was hopeful for this game but the execution seems very amateur. Fortunately it was free in game pass. I’d avoid it as it’s not worth your time

Homestead Arcana's world is creative and the lore that unravels about the player's family history is interesting, particularly when it comes to Huck, who's voiced by the impeccable Yuri Lowenthal. It's clearly designed to be a slow-paced game, which in its own right isn't a bad thing, but some of the ways it goes about achieving this can feel frustrating. However, for those willing to sink the time in, Homestead Arcana could be a good fit for players looking to journey through a magical story alongside an adorable companion.
