Dreams’ creative mode might not integrate with PSVR as naturally as hoped, but its cemented position as a hub of invention makes it an easy recommendation. Paired with the platform’s inherent comfort issues, its sprawling, untamed ecosystem can prove to be a minefield to navigate, but for every unwelcome rollercoaster ride (literally and figuratively), there’s another wish waiting to be fulfilled or something genuinely original to discover. The only way to truly judge Dreams is by the strength of its creations and those already speak for themselves; if you want to embrace VR’s experimental side, you shouldn’t miss it.
Technically it's impressive, and the people producing content for it are talented as heck... sometimes. Unfortunately, for those looking to play the games rather than make them, Dreams is hard to stick with. The best projects are in "early access" for want of a better term, and they're surrounded by baffling memes, half-baked nonsense, and bids for YouTuber attention. Oh, and tons of copyright infringement. Dreams is amazing, but I'm not very interested in playing more of it.
On one hand, Dreams is a bottomless bag filled with toys, vignettes, and indie games. On the other, Dreams is a must-own for anyone who's ever been curious about game design.

Holy **** this game was a massive letdown. I bought it expecting good fleshed out games and what I got was 5 good/decennt player made games and a bunch of slop, it might be better now, 6 years later but for when I bought it it was empty

A good game with a good and interesting construction set was interesting to create games in a cartoon style, it was a pity that Dreams essentially died, if the game had multiplayer, it would be one of the best Sony games

What do you want me to say?I didn't make any maps, but this game is a lot like Mario Maker where you'll be thrown into a sea of garbage. The only difference between this and Mario Maker, is MM will give you a lot of garbage, but there are some levels in there that are really worth playing- Dreams doesn't have that.I know many would give this a good score because it's funny to interact with poorly made games and animations- and the answer is- it is funny to find those. I couldn't stop laughing at some of the garbage I found on here. But that is all it is- ****'s not good because you can find some random 12 year old kids poorly made game, it's just funny because the game died at its concept. This games direction feels very tone deaf. The intention was to inspire gamers to truly create something **** one did that, and no one was ever going to do that because that's not the demographic that plays your games. This is all just rambling on and on, but as a whole, it's a load of comedy genius that's on there, but it all came from a crappy game.

A game that will define all future games. If this masterpiece is running on a PS4, imagine what we could do on a PC.

It’s obvious you get a tremendous amount of value for the price. If you crave a creative outlet, the tools here are effective and easy to learn, and the army of full or part-time developers appear ready to embrace your work. If you just want a wide range of weird games to play, you’ll find your queue refilled on a regular basis with surprises that couldn’t have been realized any other way. There are definitely things Media Molecule needs to focus on now that early access is over, and it’ll be a treat to see the game grow over time, but what’s here now is absolutely incredible.

(This rating is based on the performance on the base PS4 and PS4 Pro) This game is the best way for aspiring game developers to start making games. It can be a bit laggy at times while editing large scenes, especially on the base PS4. If you just want to play dreams, don't buy it for full price. Most good dreams are in development and/or are fangames. Otherwise, it is an incredible game and definitely worth the price tag.

I absolutely LOVE Dreams. It's my favorite Media Molecule game. You can make a game, which will take a while, but is super fun, and may even get you started in a bit of logic for future, non-Dreams games, or play the awesome games made by the community, and put awesome in that. Media Molecule makes some games for Dreams, and they're actually pretty high-effort! I really like Media Molecule actually colaborates with Dreams' community to make games, it's the best example of user-developer interaction one could ever find. I do think the tutorial for Dreams is annoying and not targeted at the main audience, and that Dreams' "engine" system thingy is a bit hard to learn, and it should've been ported to PC, but, eh, this is next-gen tech we got here, there will NEVER be a game like Dreams.

It didn’t matter that I’d never designed a game before, didn’t matter that I’m not much of an artist, didn’t matter that I can only play music and not compose it. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed by Dreams.

If I had to describe Dreams with just one word, I would go with "beautiful". There is no other product more deserving of that word more than Dreams. Media Molecule definitely made the line between art and video games thinner than ever.

Dreams is a revolutionary experience, well-developed and capable of being as accessible as it is deep. The dream has just begun, but already, with all these incredible tools, seems like something wonderful.

Dreams is like shopping for free in a game store, where there are almost exclusively cheap knock-offs on the shelves! Besides that, this game is the most user-friendly game-building tool on the market, which will probably produce some great things in the future.

Dreams is wholly unique in that it gives the common player the tools to create virtually whatever they want. The unfortunate part is that the creations - at least so far and including the levels made by Media Molecule itself - are just not that fun to play. It will, however, be very exciting to see where this game will be in the upcoming months and years.

Just came back to this game after a break and wow, it's still just as good as I remember. I love diving into the minds of others, it just gives such a great chance for those to express their imagination and creativity. I truly hope they release a sequel to this for PS5, as with the way it looks already the potential would be ridiculous!

This game can be many things. Other games, art showcases, lsd trips, and all inbetween. Finding something that you enjoy playing is relatively easy, and there are some surprisingly talented people making these small games. Props to them.

Not 100% sure how to define Dreams, is it really a game that can be completed? With all the content people add over time? I only played the little story mode that was available at launch and finished it in one sitting. I had a really good time, the characters were all really cute and I was surprised at how invested I got in such a short time! The singing parts were kinda cringe though.. I never dove into the actual creator this game has because I don’t wanna know what abominations I’m capable of creating. If I could barely build a good stage in Smash Bros Brawl I doubt I could make a working game lol. Overall I’m glad I experienced Dreams!

A lot of high ratings for this game. Although it is pretty fun, but nothing really new, and not all that special.

Dreams needs to go on PC to salvage what they can from that ABSOLUTELY FAILURE **** and Media Molecule needs to make a game ppl want to play because right now they are the DEAD WEIGHT OF PLAYSTATION STUDIOS.

SummaryDreams is the space you go to where you go to play and experience the dreams of Media Molecule and its community. It’s also a space in which to create your own dreams, whether they’re games, art, films, music or anything in-between and beyond. [Media Molecule]
