Gungrave G.O.R.E Ultimate Enhanced Edition takes a game with numerous issues and transforms it into something much more enjoyable. It removes obstacles that slowed down the pace, and makes perforating your enemies with a hail of bullets not the finger-destroying act it used to be. If you’re a fan of the series or just want to play a third-person shooter that makes you feel like a badass, you’d be wise to pick this up.

Pretty much a different experience when compared to the other versions of Gore. The highlight is the break mechanic which basically increases the speed of your shots and attacks…its awesome. The only reason this isn’t a 10/10 is because the promotion gave me the impression Rocketbilly was in the basegame of UEE. Instead he is an $8 dlc ontop of the $40 price of the game. I think that’s kinda crap but besides that it’s definitely one hell of a fun time. (Also for some reason blood effects have been given blue instead of red…idk why but its noticeable. Not really something to whine about when compared to other stuff.) My biggest criticism is that I wish deflecting projectiles like rockets reset the beat combo timer. Because the rocket does not add to your combo till it hits, there are situations where you will lose your beat combo if you deflect it bk due to the time it takes to travel bk. Edit:so I came back to edit my review because the stage revamp genuinely made the last 5 stages playable. Onthe xbox, ps, and pc versions the destructive props were non existent on the alien ship levels. In UEE they actually put props in the stages that fit but stick out just enough with their bright blue colors to catch your eye. They took a flawed game and made it jank but good as ****.
