I’m shocked at just how much I have enjoyed Godfall. The melee combat is some of the most satisfying out there and the time since release has been well spent as they’ve rebuilt and tweaked what was a weak new-generation launch title into something far more substantial.

Godfall is a godlike load of fun to play. I am a firm believer in giving games a second chance and this one is no exception. Gameplay is smooth and uncomplicated, as is really the rest of it, making it easier to get into, and it’s oh-so-satisfying.

The good: "The game that was only possible on Playstation 5 because of the magic SSD" comes to Xbox Series X (proving that the PS5 magic SSD was just lies and misleading advertising). It is the improved version with patches and bug fixes and improvements. The bad: Repetitive game and lacking in personality, beyond the Blink-Blink of the armor. The saturation of the glow effect will cause you to quit the game. It seemed like a Soul Like or a Hack and Slash but neither genre does it well. Bad copy that takes the worst elements of God of War (2018), Kingdom under Fire: Circle of Doom and Too Human. Characters without personality, enemies without more personality if necessary. The story is a cliché of the gods and the war of good goes evil and… zzzz (boring), it's not something we haven't seen before. the game was already bad since PS5. The Meh!: The magical SSD of the PS5 is a lie, this game is on Xbox Series, please gentlemen of the press, do not invent ridiculous things. The fact that it comes out on Xbox Series X indicates that it is not exclusive to Playstation 5 (shame about the brutal deceptive advertising campaign). Now that all the hype has been dissipated, this game is not good, not even to get the achievements out of it, not even for the new generation, so they can save their money to buy another game. The photosensitive nightmare.

The graphics are absolutely beautiful, storyline is great, gameplay takes a bit to get use to but once you're use to it, it'll be a breeze and it's extremely fun. One of the best hack n slash games I've played in a long time, especially on the Xbox series X with better graphics, smoother gameplay and faster loading times. I highly recommend it !

With all the improvements, Godfall Ultimate Edition feels like just that; with all the previously released DLC and expansions this is truly the ultimate experience for anyone who desires to take down a would-be God.

Despite limits that cannot be overcome with simple updates, Godfall: Ultimate Edition is the best possible version of itself in terms of quantity of content and overall quality.

Godfall is worth playing. It’s an action-RPG looter that focuses almost all of its efforts on the fruits of its combat flow, which leaves the story, loot and level-variety shrivelled on the branch.

I was very hesitent about getting this game because of the mediocre reception but i have to say for 30$ it is well worth it. It does take a little time to get used to but once you start going it puts its hooks in you. A very unique hack and slash looter. Think of it as Destiny 2 meets God Of War. Im about 10 hours in and im hooked! Its not a masterpiece but definitely a fun game.
