Fast RMX

Fast RMX is a blistering fast racer with a very balanced set of vehicles and a nice selection of tracks. It's perfect for some single player score chasing or some multiplayer competition, and it looks great while doing it - though it could've used a few more options here and there. That doesn't really hinder what we've been offered however, and Fast RMX is a racing game I'm happy to recommend to absolutely anyone who might be looking for one. It's just that good.

FAST RMX is arguably the 2nd best launch title on the Nintendo Switch right next to Breath of the Wild. The gameplay is fast and responsive, the presentation is gorgeous, and at $19.99 is the best value on the Nintendo Switch. If you are a fan of games like F-Zero or Wipeout, or racing in general, FAST RMX should be on your Nintendo Switch without a doubt.

Good tracks and great racing combine in this well-positioned futuristic racer. It’s nothing groundbreaking, and is very similar to its predecessor, but it has enough new content and multiplayer fun to keep me coming back for hours.

While Zelda is undeniably the Switch’s killer app, Fast RMX drifts into a close second place. Offering an impressive range of multiplayer support and commuter-friendly racing on the go, Fast’s futuristic thrill ride manages to feel more at home on the Switch than it ever did on Wii U.

The fact that some of Fast RMX’s modes like Time Attack missed launch is a bummer, and track design can be a bit inconsistent in terms of quality, but if you’re looking for a pure arcade racing experience, this heir apparent to F-Zero will definitely do the trick.

Fast RMX is one of the best Switch titles out right now. Given how Shin’en is supporting the game with free updates, with the first adding time trials, it’s a great time to pick it up and play this $20 game.

Its not bad if you get it for a good price. Graphics are pretty decent in handheld mode and its a pretty fun arcade racer. On the other side, there are no weapons like in wipeout, nothing really new or exciting on the level designs and those switching color mechanics dont really do it for me.

This game is mediocre at best. It's not that anything in particular is really bad, it's just that nothing at all is good. Even if the game looks like WipeOut or F-Zero, it's so soulless. Everything is generic, from the map design, to the design of the cars, how they behave when you control them. The performance of the cars themselves does not feel balanced. The biggest gameplay element is "changing phase" ie, make sure your trusters have the same color as the boost. This feels like something stolen straight out of Ikaruga. This is a game that is good enough to borrow or rent, but I really regret paying for it. I take F-Zero for gamecube or n64 over this any day of the week.

Nothing special just another boring racer. The phase shift is interesting for a few minutes. Yet another rubbish switch game I bought because of lack of options around switch launch time.
