Now, the spine tingling sequel, Project Origin is here to continue the story of the psychic and psychotic Alma with damn good results. [Mar 2009, p.78]
It feels a lot like that last "007" movie: plenty of fun, but nowhere near as awesome as we hoped it'd be. [Mar 2009, p.76]
While the multiplayer is weak and the mood won’t make people forget Dead Space any time soon, the solid action core makes it worth a play.

6.8/10 F.E.A.R. 2 was a fun experience overall. The action was fun with different guns to use, along with some scares during more linear buildings. I did not find the game to be a masterpiece but I found F.E.A.R. 2 as a fun experience and it is worth playing.

A bit of a step down from the original. Somehow they managed an even worse ending,, too.

while it's a fun game with great scares, bullet time is very iconic and always is, but it's still a downgrade from the first game, it's still a great game though 7.5

You'll, fire thousands of rounds in hundreds of white-knuckled shootouts facing everything from soldiers to grotesques to specters, and tromp around in a totally bad-ass mech suit. Most importantly, you'll love every minute of it.

FEAR 2 is a welcome addition to the series, is an enjoyable single player experience and well worth the price of entry.

A fantastic delve back into the FEAR universe with far improved visuals and scares. The game features an new arsenal of weaponry, creepy and varied locations and a new host of enemies to boot. The game stays true to the series by keeping the melee combat system and bullet time features which used in conjunction can provide some epic moments. A true winner 10/10.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is one of the best horror FPS games ever released. I haven't played part 1 or 3, but maybe, I will in the future. Overall rating: 8.5.

A solid game, with some decent gameplay. But it’s not going to light your soul on fire like other shooters hopefully will, and might bore gamers who’ve played every single shooter out there and are looking for something new. It may not feel new, but it definitely feels polished and solid. If not very scary.

"Killzone 2" has the technology and spectacle; FEAR 2 has class, direction and a most mischievous sense of humour – and technology and spectacle. [Mar 2009, p.84]

Sure, there’s fun to be had shooting baddies in the face for 10-12 hours over the course of the 14 missions, but sadly F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin isn’t nearly as remarkable as the original.

This somewhat scary sequel is a solid shooter, but it can't keep pace with its lauded predecessor.

If you've never played a first-person shooter before, you'll probably be in love - this is as archetypal a corridor-shooter as has ever been made, and there's a reason why it works. But for anyone who's been running down corridors with shotguns for most of their adult life, this is so uninspired that you worry for the spark of Monolith's soul. You guys made "No One Lives Forever," remember? You're smart. You're better than this.

One of my favourite games ever made. Intelligent, immersive, scary, graphically slick, a joy to play, just great. I've played it several times through including in the hardest difficulty mode and always love it. It's not quite worthy of a 10/10 as some sections can be a bit tedious, it's not a perfect game. But having said that it's easily in my top 10 games of all time and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror games or shooters, or who just feels like a good, solid, captivating gaming experience. In my opinion it is significantly superior to the original and to the third game, which I felt lacked the character and intelligence of this one.

Un bon FPS qui mélange action et horreur, plus joli et futuriste que le premier. Le bullet time fonctionne toujours bien. Par contre, le scénario commence à devenir confus et les environnements sont un peu banals.
