EyeToy: Play 2
The work done on the mini games has been great - the fact that they are no longer timed is brilliant, although this can lead to physical exhaustion for the unfit among us.
You may have noticed that we commented that every game does not hold your interest for very long and that is the main problem with this package.
The presentation is as characterful as you would expect from London Studio, it's welcoming to newcomers to the EyeToy, or even to gaming in general, and the navigation system has been much improved, responding snappily to your commands.

The best thing about Play 2 is the fact that almost all 12 games are actually collections of three or more games. [Sept 2005, p.90]

The technology isn’t perfect at times, but it certainly supplies a fun gaming experience in an active fashion.

Fed up because your mum and dad or girlfriend never take an interest in gaming? Get them on this - even my granny played it and loved it.

If you are interested in an Eye Toy but don't yet have one, you should skip buying Play and proceed directly to Play 2, as it's almost universally better than the first game. The mini-games are longer and more detailed, and the multiplayer is smoother and generally more fun.

We love its potential, but wish for more depth. However, SCEE is making baby steps i nthe right direction. [Sept 2005, p.81]

Eyetoy Groove made you look like an idiot but in a fun way. Eyetoy Play 2 does the former, but not so much the latter—the compilation is entirely hit and miss, with a handful of failed concepts dragging down the rest.
