Empires Apart
Empires Apart moves in the classic schemes of the RTS, but the novelties it presents are scarce 25 years after Dune II established the keys of the genre, to which it remains excessively faithful. It looses in the individual mode, weighed down by a deficient AI and the absence of campaign and it is shown to be funny and innovative in the multiplayer, to which clearly it is oriented.
Empires Apart has a beautiful art style, and its music is immersive. Unfortunately, stupid AI ruined the game, and the poor level design even made it worse.
Empires Apart is a more than competent real-time strategy game featuring solid mechanics and unique features. Sadly, the almost complete lack of single player content damages the experience a bit, making the game recommended, at the current price point, only to those who are willing to play online against other human opponents.

Very well made game, Tons of joy with the right friends. This game is everything to me and my friend circle and I'm pretty happy more people get to hear about this hidden gem. The diffrent faction andtheir diffrent abilities make for every enganging game with a lot of variety. To bad the game doesnt get worked on anymore, only bad point about this game. 9/10

First no campaign. The game is focus to the competitive, but you need a good computer to make a fluid game. Even other indie games can do it better. The game haven't visual variety even don't have enough wild life to hunt, imitates AoE2 very well except the new version of AoE2 HD have better fauna and domestic animals. The game is very limited by content. 7 maps 4 size map options 3 Pop capacity options 4 game modes Six civilization with unique game play... not at all, only 3 of them are very different. The dominate strategy is use the Mongols. At last in AoE 1 you can choose more civilizations with this strategy. AI is terrible and spent whole game making useless buildings which it deleted randomly later on. I'm not sure if the low poly graphics are for an historical RTS. Poor historical features, the game centres in be an RTS "Fornite". Only for fun. They have a French faction that even speaks French. Imitates AoE 2 so well that you ask yourself if was necessary play this one. Good day/night feature... but sometimes is annoying. Many players asking for a better optimization. The next time they should be worried to make a good game(more than rip off) instead pay youtubers as sponsors. Next time be more obviously, because they show the game as a new truly successor of AoE.

Strategy Gamer
Empires Apart is both a good spiritual successor to Microsoft’s classic and a good game in its own right, delivering a very capable experience that successfully brings most of Age of Empires mechanics into the modern age. If you liked Ensemble’s iconic series then you should definitely take a look at this game.

An extremely entertaining product if you want to play it online, characterized by well designed factions. Just be aware that if you plan to play it in single player offline mode the lack of a campaign or story mode could severely impact interest and longevity.

Despite some technical issues and a skimpy single player, Empires Apart is an enjoyable and well balanced old-style RTS. If you are in search of a competitive multiplayer game, look no further.

I’m fully aware that this game is multiplayer focused and the single player is more for practice and getting used to the game before playing human opponents, but the AI is terrible, and I would go as far to say laughably awful. If you are only looking to play single player avoid this game, at least for now, as you will be wasting your money.
