Elli
Elli doesn’t do anything so poorly that it could be called objectionable. Given how many terrible games are out there, that’s no small feat. But it’s still hardly enough to make the game worth checking out. Factor in the game’s surprisingly high price ($20+, at the time of this writing), and that makes passing on it an easy call.
Elli is a lovely little puzzle platformer that's well worth spending a few hours with, though its relaxed vibe and accessible gameplay could see your attention waning before the end.
My enthusiasm for Elli ebbed and flowed over the course of my run, from boredom to excitement to finally settling for something in-between the two. It’s not a game that does anything you haven’t seen before, but it puts together a decently enjoyable experience with its time-tested mechanics. Seasoned players of the genre won’t have a lot to sink their teeth into here, but Elli’s accessible gameplay, low difficulty, and inoffensive design make it a good game to introduce the youngest kids to the genre.

The exploration and environmental puzzles are very well thought out. The setting and dialogue are pleasant.

Sorry, but this game is for me a clear NO. It's like a copy of something that was better, but it doesn't get to the real point. It lacks originality, it's too easy. In the beginning looks like it could have a lot of potential, but it never gives you what it promises. Maybe I could imagine it was made for children, but it's just too neutral

Elli is a 3d platformer and puzzle game where you traverse through environments in order to collect crystals. To start with story. I found it unoriginal and frankly, poorly executed. The characters I felt little towards so therefore didn't overly care despite the lack of originality. The game is mostly puzzle solving and some platforming elements. For what they do it is done well. I like the gradual complexity of puzzles and mechanics you need to use to progress. Nearly everything made sense when you think about it. Some might find it too easy but it's not simple. The platforming, Elli feels fine to control and the jump is pretty good. The issue raises where there is some tight platforming and with a fixed camera it may cause falls. The good news is the checkpoints are very well placed to accommodate for this. The game is very linear in progression with no backtracking, so the levels or puzzles wont combine to a large overarching world and hence hinders the story in some way. There is no combat nor enemies, making the game feels empty. With combat and a more open interconnected world this could be amazing! The game is quite relaxing in which I need right now. Having music to keep ambience is fine but don't expect to remember it once you log off. The art style I am into and graphics are... OK but I found the Switch has minor issues in playing the game. For what the game offers is really good if you want platforming and puzzling, but I cannot help but feel if they added a few elements to make this game more complete.

A beautifully relaxed puzzle adventure hat is held back by some technical shortcomings and sluggish controls.

A platformer worth its price. Besides some perspective issues and repetitive or tedious puzzle solving, Elli is a good game for those who are searching for a replacement for Super Mario Odyssey or the like, after they've cleared that content. A beautiful world awaits you.

I got this game because it has similarities to the Zelda games. It is a fun collecting and puzzling platformer but the camera is fixed and there are no enemies. The graphics are pretty sound effects are interesting.

Its asking price of £18/$20 may be a little steep considering the game’s lack of replayability, but if you’re a fan of platforming and adventuring, Elli definitely has enough to offer that’ll keep you engaged for several hours.

Elli’s relaxed nature makes it the perfect game to unwind with. Its world is gorgeous and its gameplay is solid, due in large part to its well designed puzzles. By the same token, its myriad technical issues and solid, yet totally shallow, core mechanics and story hold it back from being truly great.

Elli is the first attempt for BandanaKid to make a dynamic start in the videogames industry, yet fails in many parts. Lots of erroneous developing choices during production phase are obvious in the final product, which discourage players to treat the game the way it deserves. And it’s a shame, because there are so many things inside it, that can ultimately persuade players to stick with it to the very end. A recommended indie title, which should be scrutinized by all players before purchase.

A monotonous platform game with many bugs. Suitable for children, who will not focus on these negative aspects and enjoy their graphic section.

SummaryA whimsical hand-crafted single-player adventure. Discover a delightful world, inhabited by the playful and usually helpful Mandragora. Collect gems and and hidden coins and exchange them for a variety of robes, staffs and hats. Simple pick up and play controls, suitable for kids and big kids!
