I have played a few card-style games (IRL and digital), and DungeonTop is a pretty good option. If you are in the mood for a more casual dungeon crawl, this is a fun game.

Fans of strategy and deck building games are likely to enjoy DungeonTop. Its appealing visuals and huge customization potential gives it a lot of replay value. However, replay may happen sooner than you think due to the game’s base difficulty or bugs that force you to restart.

I didn't really connect with this game. It offers so many cards, so many variations, and the gameplay is at times so complex that it becomes chaotic, if not confusing. Boss battles are much tougher than regular battles, creating an exaggerated divide.

game is fun enough but not supported by the dev/publisher for the switch version. it is still v1.0 while Steam version is v1.35. switch version is missing game breaking bug fixes, as well as the new beginner mode and permadeath reaper mode. do not buy the switch version!

This is an amazing cardgame. I play every (rogue) card game I can get my hands on (Monster train, Slay the spire, Dicey dungeons, Nowhere prophet, Monster slayers, ring of pain, gordian quest etc.) and i can say this is an amazing card game. A great variety in cards and interesting battle mechanics. It is also way too cheap for what you're getting. I highly recommend this!

This is a very cool game! I've now been playing for 25+ hours and I've completed 7 runs and unlocked about 90% of the cards. There are 3 distinct character types, each with 3 selectable 'factions' made up of unique unit types with their own play styles and mechanics. There are tons of strategic choices throughout the game which heavily influence your chances of success as you progress deeper through the 3-level dungeon. The gameplay is intuitive and most of the rules and mechanics are explained clearly with a simple press of the 'Y' button. If you have enjoyed playing Slay the Spire, Neoverse, Steamworld Quest or Faeria then you will probably really enjoy Dungeontop as well. This game has been cleverly and thoughtfully designed to give you a large number of meaningful strategic choices every run. For the first few runs there is almost too much going on and you will make some costly mistakes as you try lots of things out. You learn from these early mis-steps and it is so satisfying when you do beat the final boss due to your own careful strategic planning and skillful play. The devs have also created LOTS of different cards and abilities to for you to play around with which keeps the game fresh. I guess the only other thing missing is a log of all your previous runs. It does seem a bit abrupt when you die (or win) and find yourself back at the title screen without any record at all of your previous adventures. (I have been using the screen-snap feature on the switch to keep a record of my victories.) Overall I am delighted with my Dungeontop experience so far. It is satisfying building up your character and party each run and there really is a lot to think about and enjoy whilst playing this game. It is also exceptional value for money!
