Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is an excellent mash-up of several genres, with impressive technology and fun gameplay.

A clutter of menus, a crazy amount of buttons, but a great mix of Tower Defense and RPG elements with tons of loot thrown in for added pleasure.

Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is not the game many were hoping for and may disappoint on first play, but give the game time and forgive it the cluttered menu and you have a decent original title that deserves a play through.

Dungeon Defenders is a creative leap for the tower defense genre, and one that I would like to see followed up by more refined sequels.

Dungeon Defenders never gets the opportunity to show off its creative gameplay due to a poorly designed interface.

Dungeon Defenders just reeks of an idea that wasn't fully thought through. It is as if someone got the idea to make a hack 'n slash and tower defense hybrid, but never considered if it would actually work.

Dungeon Defenders iOS is a deep, sometimes entertaining game… but the controls are a core, critical, nasty flaw that I don't think can be "fixed" or addressed in any meaningful way.

Randomly generated loot, good looking and diverse levels. Lots of differing elements to the strategy. Lots of promise for the future. This game will really take off once Trendy releases the PC and PS3 versions. This game is also available for Android and will feature cross play between Android, iOS, PC and PS3. Not bad, all things considered. It's also going to serve as the catalyst for an up and coming PVP game. Also, tons of DLC promised. Provided it all coalesces, Dungeon Defenders might actually turn into a pretty big thing. I encourage you to check out the forums. But for 99c, this game is without a doubt a must-have. You will enjoy it.

Gameplay is great. Each level is challenging and the loot is superb. Each floor new challenges are thrown at you and the core rpg/tower-defense is a perfect fit. With better controls the game would be a 10 but for that it is not. Still worth the money though for an iOS game.
