Dragon Blade is forgettable fun in its tepid way, but with its lackluster environments, flawed controls and limp storytelling, it's hard to recommend to anyone that isn't a hardcore fan of winged lizards, a devoted reader of Knaak's books or desperate for mindless hacking and slashing.

Sadly, the motion controls for this game are not 100% accurate, and that does depending on which form of the sword you are using, it still remains really fun.

The game simply suffers from what looks like a fast development time, not a ton of experience with the hardware yet, and a full retail pricing. As a $50 game Dragon Blade lacks in far too many areas to be worth the cash, as the combat is simple, the design is entirely one-dimensional, and the simplistic enemy AI and gameplay bugs get in the way of an otherwise straightforward design.

A very bad game with horrible controls. It's a chore for me to play and plan to get rid of it.

The most expensive film ever produced in China apparently fails to become the best film ever produced in China. Hopefully the money doesn't go mostly to Daniel Lee, since his directing prowess and scripting is amateurish and cringeworthy. Jackie Chan has always been a hit and a miss and this time he is a miss. You will of course be entertained by his fighting and stunt actions a'la Chan, but it fails to save the film as a whole. Dragon Blade is a great concept and idea being butchered mercilessly to shreds of disappointment.

This game isn't a mindless hack and slash it's a game where you have to actually think about the moves you make. If you just start attacking you'll get killed pretty fast. The controls do get frustrating especially when you are trying to kill a boss, but if you turn down the sensitivity in the options they work A LOT better. It is mission based and the missions are point A to point B, but there are armor pieces you can find when you look around. This game reminds me a lot of the summoner on the PS2 because the combat and the graphics are a bit similar. Its a pretty good game for the Wii.

While Dragon Blade is not like God of War it does have some similarities, at least in the entertainment areas.

Massive levels, decent fighting mechanics and challenging boss battles can't make up for lackluster gameplay, poor visuals and a rather bland story.

A punishingly difficult action game.

Unfortunately even at 40 bucks, the price is about 30 too much and the game can’t be relied upon to provide anything other than brief moments of cool sandwiched between hours and hours of frustrating mediocrity. Dragon Blade isn’t budget—it’s low rent.
