Death Stranding is a phenomenal and groundbreaking game in many ways. There's so much to say about this game but let's start with the good: It looks phenomenal. The music is phenomenal. Setting, story and world building is exceptional - and the gameplay and systems are unique and clever. What keeps it from getting a perfect score is its execution in essentially all regards: The music is phenomenal as mentioned, but it's almost never played. Most of the time you'll hear just footsteps or rain instead of music. The setting, story and world building is convoluted, spammy and it takes a (very) long time for things pieces to fall in place (but when they do it's very rewarding). The gameplay and systems are also convoluted and the game is still throwing new things at you until almost the very end. So in the end, a very good experience that I can highly recommend to anyone who has the time to spare. You'll need to cross the country in order for this to be a worthwhile experience.

This is the most complex and beautiful storyline games I have played! Kept me guessing and was a game I couldn’t leave behind.

It’s a good game, but it’s definitely not my style. I played up to Episode 2, but I just couldn’t continue. The pacing is slow, there are too many cutscenes, and the core gameplay is built around carrying cargo on foot. Even though the graphics are solid and visually impressive, the PC version offers very limited graphical settings.

The 1st 30 hours of this were a slow grind. I wanted to give up so bad. The odd artistic choices like the weird baby every time Sam repatriates annoyed me, but it was the community that made me more interested in continuing Building roads and creating the perfect zipline. So many "bridges" and connections made without actual conversation. It made me feel less alone. The story was slow going. Some of the voice acting was painful to listen to and the dialogue equally bad. The story itself was ok and had a satisfactory ending, but it took a lot of trust to get it there. Didn't really like a lot of the "friends" he makes along the way. It felt like they were more coworkers and the relationships seemed forced. Deadman slowly grew on me, though. The scenery is so realistic and beautiful. The world interesting and haunting. The actors look realistic, almost like watching a movie which is important to me. The music was beautiful, although, it all started to sound the same, but it drew you in all the same. This is definitely a game worth trying. A game where you will play long after the story is over. And you will leave once you've upgraded ziplines and created a system for others to utilize with ease because we Porters need to stick together. "Keep on Keeping On."

I've been on a tear lately playing some of the best AAA games of the last few years. I wasn't sure what to expect of this game, however, but I have to say it got it's hooks into me fast and I loved every minute. I played it because I saw the reviews the sequel was getting, and how it was even better than the first. So I thought, I should play the first one and see if the core gameplay and approach appeals to me, which would give me reason to check out the sequel. It's a very unique game, but also really fun to play. And the storytelling was original and top notch. Obviously the director of this game has a lot of famous fans, since he got a lot of A+ actors to star in it, both in major rolls and small cameos. (Small spoiler direct ahead.) Seeing Conan O'Brien pop up in a small role made me smile, just because it was so unexpected!

Oyunun %95'i hologramlara kargo taşımak zaten.

Man I loved this game. I had so low expectations because all of the hate that this game blew my mind off. What Kojima Productions managed to deliver with this game is amazing. It's a unique experience and surely you have never played anything like this before. Must play. PD: the soundtrack is amazing too SO Low Roar

It started out as a game that I was not sure if I would like (delivery person) and my first experience of it was the directors cut. The game grew on me as I spent more time playing it. The characters are well written and the story is well done. I ended the game wanting to play the second one. Recommended if you can get past the initial lull of the travelling. It’s not a typical game, but that’s what makes it great.

Death Stranding is truly an amazing game. It features a beautiful environment, engaging gameplay mechanics, and an incredible story with high-quality cutscenes. At times, it felt more like watching a series than playing a game, especially since out of the roughly 20-hour experience, nearly 8 hours are dedicated to cutscenes. With so many talented actors involved, the game delivers a unique cinematic experience that feels very different from a typical video game.

Review: Death Stranding – A Masterpiece of the "Slow Burn"Death Stranding is not your typical action game, and that is exactly why it’s a masterpiece. While most AAA titles focus on how fast you can pull a trigger, Hideo Kojima dared to make a game about the weight of a backpack and the simple act of putting one foot in front of the **** Beauty of the JourneyThe game is famously slow-paced, but that "slowness" is its greatest strength. It turns the environment itself into the main antagonist. Every river crossed and every mountain climbed feels like a hard-won victory. Meditative Gameplay: There is a zen-like quality to trekking across the hauntingly beautiful, moss-covered landscapes. It forces you to slow down, plan your route, and actually appreciate the world around you. The "Strand" Connection: The slow buildup makes the social elements feel incredibly rewarding. Finding a ladder or a bridge left by another player in a moment of struggle creates a sense of human connection that faster games rarely **** Genius of KojimaAt the center of it all is Hideo Kojima, an absolute legend who continues to prove he is one of the few true "auteurs" in the industry. Fearless Originality: Only Kojima-san would have the courage to take a massive budget and use it to create a "Walking Simulator" that is actually a deep, emotional epic about loneliness and hope. Cinematic Scope: From the haunting soundtrack to the incredible performances (like Mads Mikkelsen’s haunting presence), his fingerprints are everywhere. He doesn't just make games; he creates new genres and pushes the boundaries of what digital storytelling can be.Verdict: If you go in expecting a high-speed shooter, you’re missing the point. Death Stranding is a game that demands your patience, but rewards you with an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. It is a bold, weird, and beautiful reminder of why Kojima remains a visionary.Keep on keeping on!

After more than 130 hours on PS5, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is a very unique experience, pure Kojima style. The story is confusing at first and takes a long time to really start, only making full sense near the end, which can be frustrating compared to the tighter storytelling of MGS. Visually the game is stunning at 60 FPS, and the soundtrack is one of the best I’ve heard in a video game. However, some parts like the racing events are dull, the gameplay can become repetitive, vehicle physics feel off, and the world sometimes feels a bit lifeless.

When people say "game like no other", we assume that means "a good game like no other" which it does not. This game is a fever dream. It looks real but then you look into the faces and realize nobody ever makes human-like expressions. The main character has the same half-grimace, half-smile look (I assume this is a failure of the graphics engine) no matter what's happening, whether he's being pursued by a deadly monster or losing a loved one. It's hauntingly hollow and disturbing. Then the game play. Which isn't so much play as it is tedium. At it's core you're an off-road delivery guy on foot with poor balance, who has to walk around with crap on his back. That's it. They fluff this up with pretty but emotionally hollow cut scenes. I wasted $30 on this and am going to start drinking again while I re-install The Witcher 3 and experience actual gaming .

Game like no other, literally. Story throws curveballs at you every episode (game chapter) only to get so many answers at the end with some questions to be left unanswered. It advertises itself as a genre-defying experience and it sure is one. Would recommend.

This game is truly something special. It's something that has never existed quite like this before. We get an outstanding cast, an outstanding soundtrack, and a rather unconventional yet fun gameplay concept. The game is extremely atmospheric and cinematic. Classic Kojima. The story is a bit cryptic, but wraps up well in the end. It is a masterpiece, one of the few games that has managed to captivate me for such a long time. The idea of being able to see other players' structures always motivated me to build my own, not just because I needed them, but because other players might find them useful. Being thanked via Likes felt good because I knew, "Hey, another player used my structure and I was able to help them!"After the main story, there are still quite a few side missions to complete, even though I found them a bit boring. What I found somewhat lacking is the combat. It feels unintuitive and isn't very fun. This resulted in me avoiding fights as much as possible. The boss fights, on the other hand, were enjoyably designed. Graphically, the game is extremely impressive, and I am amazed that this was a PS4 game. Kojima and his team did an outstanding job. Conclusion: An atmospheric game with an interesting concept. A very good visual presentation. It is definitely something different, something special. It's not for everyone, and it doesn't try to be. The combat could have been more fun. All in all, however, a very good game. 8/10 I have already bought the sequel and I am really looking forward to playing it to see what changes and improvements the team has made.

An incredible experience, the first time I've ever sat through the credits **** and wished they were longer so I had more time to just..... wow. I could see how this needs a little while to cook for some people before they really get into it but to be honest, I was hooked from the start. It's so unique in how it entertains, but I truly think anyone could enjoy death stranding if they spent enough time with it.

To high a learning curve. I've played 12 hours and I'm still having trouble figuring out it's overly complicated HUD/Menu which could have been simplified easily. I honestly can't understand people giving it a 10. I played it on a PS5 and finally had to ask Grok how to play because there was nothing intuitive about the game. I want my money back.

The first chapter of an incredible story. In terms of narrative quality and story development, the first chapter marks a significant milestone in the world of video games. The DS universe is dramatic, profound, as distant as it is close to the present day, not in external reality but in the loneliness and pain that marks the characters. Sam and his story, the protagonists of the first chapter, are a fascinating discovery that slowly unfolds under the player's gaze, culminating in a triumph of meaning and emotion at the end, which not only “explains” what you have been wondering about during the journey, but also communicates something important. While the second chapter features improved, more accessible gameplay, here you may encounter minor difficulties and rough edges that may make you turn up your nose, but in my opinion, they are part of the experience, part of those difficulties that will make every journey memorable. It cannot fail to be considered a masterpiece by Kojima, in his first attempt with his production company. It certainly doesn't get a 10 just because of these aspects of the gameplay that could be improved (and were improved in 2).

I have no idea what this thing is . . . It is either the most brilliant game I've ever played, or the stupidest walking simulator ever invented. It is at times scary, at times action packed, and at times incredibly tedious and boring as I need to hold down triggers to keep my balance. The story is . . . chaos. When my family asked what I was playing all I could say was that it was very . . . very . . . weird. It was good . . . I think. Just not my kind of thing I guess.

What a fantastic journey! I really loved this game, and I think it has one of the best stories I've ever played. Every character has a great personality, and there's a strong connection that feels real. I didn't enjoy some boss battles and some particular key moments of the game, but overall I fell in love with it. It's a unique game and I can't wait to play Death Stranding 2. This game was awesome, I have to give it a 9.5/10.

Death Stranding is a game that really stands out. I’d give it an 8 out of 10. The world is stunning and atmospheric, and the gameplay, while unconventional, totally worked for me. I loved the feeling of isolation and the slow build of connection across the map. It’s meditative in a way most games aren’t. That said, the story can drag at times. There are moments where it feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to be deep or mysterious, and it loses momentum. But overall, it’s a unique experience that stuck with me. Kojima definitely delivered something different, and I respect that.

I genuinely wanted to give Death Stranding a chance. The stellar cast and the authentic characters immediately stood out, and the numerous scenes felt truly cinematic. However, the great presentation couldn't redeem the dull and monotonous gameplay for me. Furthermore, the game instantly throws you into its complex lore without sufficient introduction. I had to abandon the game after only about 6-8 hours and, regrettably, cannot recommend it.
