Overall, it was fine. I like the leads, although for me and my wife, they both somewhat lacked chemistry with each other, giving off more friend vibes than great love/longing vibes. I like romantic comedies, although great ones are few and far between, even back in their heyday of the 90's. If you like the genre, this one is fine, while we wait for the next great one.

Well acted. Definitely not a main stream movie, but the leads do a great job selling the story. Enjoyable, if a bit of an uncomfortable watch, for me at least. Worth watching, in my book.

Very charming movie. The perfect antidote to a lot of dark (but good) shows we've been watching lately. Made my wife cry at parts, and I had a smile on my face. What more can you ask for? :)

Not great. While I enjoyed seeing all these actors together, the story itself bounced around to much, feeling inconsistent. It was very meta throughout, acknowledging all these abrupt changes in what we thought the movie was going to be, but that didn't actually allow it to escape the trap of feeling disjointed and satisfying, in my opinion. It still made me smile on occasion, but that was more for to the talent involved.

The bad, first. The way this movie ends does feel like Amazon is pushing to make us not fear the coming AI takeover. Which left a sour taste in my mouth, since I believe the plan is for AI to likely displace a huge amount of workers (most of us?) in the not so distant future. But that large caveat aside, I still found enjoyment in this movie. The leads were engaging, and the story, while somewhat predictable, still offered an interesting take on our not to distant future. The action at the end was solid enough as well. If you can handle the AI spin at the end, you'll likely get more bang from your buck from this one.

Just watched Superman for the second time, the first being probably five months ago. It really is a terrific superman movie. The best Superman movies wear their hearts on their sleeve, and this one certainly does. I also love the actors, the script and the action. Very much looking forward to the next one, and also how this new iteration of the DC universe evolves. So far, so good!

My wife and I both really enjoyed this movie, much more so than the reviews would suggest - although a critic 56 score on Metacritic (at the time of writing this), is actually pretty good. Elba and Cena do indeed have good chemistry togehter, and Chopra kicks ass as well. The action was great and memorable, without dragging on to much. And for us, the humor landed as well. A great example of a popcorn movie done right.

My personal favorite of this series. Probably second favorite for my wife, after Annabelle. I felt the storyline was a little more complex than previous entries, which I liked. And some nice "heart" moments between the two leads.

My wife and I really enjoyed this movie, and it definitely left me hoping for a sequel, either in movie or multi-episode format. Good job Netflix. And while I know movies are very subjective, the astonishingly low average critic score for this movie feels to me like a bunch of movie critics concerned about their career prospects if Netflix succeeds in making Hollywood style blockbuster movies. I suspect they're worried their career won't be justified, or pay as well, if people can enjoy these kind of first-run movies without having to fork over the high cost associated with going to the movies. Which I get. But still...

Wow. Just wow. This movie is the Rocky for our generation. Watching a movie like this makes me think how low we set the bar for most movies we go see. And then you watch a movie like this and go, wow, oh those other movies I watched recently kinda **** in comparison. The fighting was great, but of course it's the diverse set of characters and what's driving them that really makes you fall in love with this movie.

I really liked this movie. Maybe should have given it a nine. Not sure. But it's got great acting, a smart script, and it's telling a fascinating story. Not sure how this did in the box office, but it did well. It deserved to.

I like commercial movies, not artsy movies. So I was skeptical about this one. But boy, did it win me over. Not sure how this movie even got made, but I'm glad it did. Maybe not for everyone, but this movie's casting a far bigger net than I'd ever of thought. Kudos to everyone involved.

JollyG87 pretty much summed it up for me. Great action sequences. Very clever and nicely filmed. Hats off to Brad Bird, the director. Tom Cruise did great kicking butt. LIke the supporting cast too.

It was okay. The kind of movie that you smile a bit while watching, then forget about as soon as you leave the theatre. Although this time, my friends and I did talk about it bit more than usual, simply because we were laughing at how many huge plot holes this movie had. Seriously, so many times they'd escalate the plot and I'd be thinking, well, how are they going to have this make sense, and then they just ignored it. That said, I did enjoy the Bernie Madoff type character and the storyline of him getting his own back.

Seeing all these 10's makes me remember just how subjective entertainment is. Or how someone's got a PR firm trying to goose the metacritic ratings. Seriously though, for me, this was just an awful movie. The story was blah, the fight scenes where boring, and even bits which might have been interesting were ruined because the script gave everything away up front, so there weren't any surprising reveals. And the ending was ripped right from the third Indian Jones movie, and you saw it coming from a mile away. I suppose they won't retire this franchise until it stops making money, but please producers, can you try a little harder for the next one?

My new favorite superhero movie, my previous favorite being a tie between Spider-man 2 and the first Iron Man. So much to love with this movie. And props to Kevin Bacon for playing an amazing villian. And the climax, or should I say climaxes, were astounding. So much action, so smart, and the emotional layers of it all. I'm shocked a screenplay that had so many writers turned out this good, but hats off to all involved. To the people who made Thor, take note. This is how you do a superhero movie.

The action was pretty solid, and Hemsworth did a good job conveying Thor. The actor playing Loki also did a great job. The love story though really detracted from it. No connection, and no real sense of them coming together, yet the movie tried to force down our throats that they'd fallen in love. And the big end scene where Thor's changed behavior was credited to Natalie Portman's character left me going, "Really?" Did I fall asleep for 15 minutes and miss the big scene where Thor learned about sacrificing for the greater good from her? I certainly didn't hate the movie and got some enjoyment from it, but I felt like ultimately, they needed a much better script. Plus a love interest that actually had some chemistry with Hemsworth.
