Is the Stimulus Pack worth 1200 Microsoft Points? It depends. The new maps are nice enough, and offer good gameplay solutions (in particular Storm), but the price is way too much for this DLC. The return of two Modern Warfare classics is nice, but after hours and hours of play with the original game, the idea of having fun with them again is not so nice. If you're a Modern Warfare 2 supporter, probably you'll buy this DLC anyway. Else, be careful: it's not such a big deal.

Taking into account the amount of content and pricing of 1200MSP, we've given the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package a respectable Overall Rating of 6.5/10. Modern Warfare 2 veterans will surely be picking the Stimulus Package up, and it does what it sets out to do, in giving players some new, well laid out maps to do battle on.

It accomplishes what it sets out to do, but the Stimulus Package feels closer to a shot of caffeine than it does adrenaline.

Nevermind whether it's any good or not. The fact that you'd even waste $15 on 5 maps is stupid. I was an idiot, a Call of Duty fanboy at the time, who thought that nothing Call of Duty could be bad. I was wrong, not only is $3 per map a ludicrous rip-off, especially considering the size of Call of Duty maps, but they aren't even any good! Did I remember to mention that two of these maps aren't even new? They're just Call of Duty 4 maps added to MW2. You're actually paying $15 for 3 new maps, and 2 maps you most likely, already own. I can't even go on, I'm honestly not trying to be biased, but go spend your $15 on something better, you could go buy a Battlefield game, a new shirt, tons of snacks, or Medal of Honor! It's a little difficult to recommend The Stimulus Map Pack because it's only three new maps, and two revamped ones, which is pretty expensive for its cost. But these maps are just amazing, so if you are a hardcore fan of Modern Warfare 2 this is a must-have for you.
70
For those who are investing scores of hours into the game every week, the Stimulus Package will live up to its name, revitalising the game once again by providing new scope to learn, master and dominate.

With three brand new maps and two old ones, the only thing special about the Stimulus Map Pack is the steep price. You really need to be a hardcore Modern Warfare 2 enthusiast to get your money's worth. [May 2010]

The main problem with the Stimulus Package is that real new content is really not much, given the price of admittance. Hardcore fans are buying it anyway, but the value isn't there.
60
A nice selection of maps for the MW2 fans, but clearly overpriced to be really appealing to general audiences. Only the hardcore MW2 users will play them enough to take advantage of this polemic Stimulus Map Pack.
