Wow. 20 bucks for 15 levels? And the level design is kinda bland and often boring. Only for platformer fans who want to experience first hand how average (to bad) the franchise has always been. The copy-paste movement and controls straight from Demon Turf/Tides saves Bubsy 4D from being too boring you'd want to quit after a few levels.

Bubsy 4D is a strange, bold game full of **** doesn’t try to compete with the giants of the genre; it embraces chaos, humour and creativity to deliver something ****’s imperfect, yes, but it’s also fun, memorable and much more polished than anyone would expect from a new Bubsy.

É meio estranho falar que você gostou de um jogo do Bubsy, né? Pois é, aconteceu! Bubsy 4D é definitivamente o melhor jogo da franquia e um dos mais divertidos que joguei este ano! Eu tenho um segredo que não conto pra ninguém, mas... Eu meio que já gostava do Bubsy antes, porque eu jogava muito Bubsy 2 quando criança. Por causa disso, quando descobri a má fama dele, comecei a ficar na torcida por um bom jogo da série. Mas eu confesso que, depois de ver Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back e Paws on Fire, fui perdendo meu interesse pela franquia. Tenho acompanhado essa "saga" do anúncio de Bubsy 4D desde o trailer divulgado no ano passado durante o Summer Game Fest. Isso despertou em mim o amor adormecido por essa franquia e tornou Bubsy quase um "hiperfoco" meu por um tempo. Jogando a DEMO, eu já tinha meu veredito, mas a versão final só confirma o que eu já sabia: Bubsy 4D é ÓTIMO. Eu nem sei como abrir esta análise. Só a primeira fase já é o bastante para apresentar o que mais atrai nesse jogo: os controles! Eles são incríveis! O Bubsy controla tão bem, é TÃO responsivo, e seus movimentos são expressivos. Cada um deles serve a um propósito, e é isso que os torna incríveis. Alguns podem chamar isso de "Movement Slop". Eu chamo de "Perfeição". O movimento preciso do Bubsy é necessário não só para o platforming, mas para o gameplay geral do jogo, e possui vários usos.

Amazing game. Don't listen to the critics here. The game is actually peak. One of my favorites 3D platformers. Was a lot of fun. I really want more please Atari!!!

Better then I expected. Camera is not that good sometimes. I got used to it. But the game was really good. Wish for more!

I had a lot of fun with this game. For Bubsy standards this is incredible. Bubsy games were always terrible but this one is an improvement everyone should check and give it a try. Sad to see the Metacritic score being so low. I understand the game no being long but for a "let's try it" it was enough. Maybe they make a DLC or another game which will be longer then. I hope so. But overall great game!

The movement system is excellent and has a lot of depth. The double jump, the classic glide, the dash, and especially the mechanic of transforming into a ball of fur give the game a speed and dynamism reminiscent of the precision level of a Mario Odyssey. The controls respond perfectly, and the skill ceiling for those who want to master the maps is high. Fabraz nailed the writing. Instead of making silly and cynical jokes destroying the character's past, they transformed Bubsy into an older, somewhat tired, "couch potato" type of guy who is dragged into the adventure against his will. The humor respects the mascot's history without being boring or repetitive. The game features vibrant themes of textiles/crafts, focused on straightforward platforming and time trials (with ghosts of other players). There's no messing around. To top it all off, Fat Bard's soundtrack is extremely addictive and perfectly matches the fast pace. And this game is my favorite bubsy game :)

What is this, a childish game? What is it even doing on metacritic? Absolutely primitive platformer

entre tds os bubsy ele é mediocre o q já é algo mt bom pq bubsy só tem jogo ruin ent por isso ele merece um 10

One of the most satisfying 3D platformers of the 2020s in my opinion. Only sullied by its short length its definitely worth a 20 dollar purchase, hoping for some DLC.

If you like expressive platformers, you’ll like this. If you’re expecting a traditional platformer you’ll be disappointed. The choice for reviewers seems bizarre (and explains the mid-level ratings). It’s like having someone who doesn’t like JRPGs review a Tales or Legend of Heroes title. Most reviewers seem ignorant to the platforming intent (or maybe what an expressive platformer is) judging by the comps they use for comparison. If you want to move and speedrun, this is the game for you.

I thought it was great, exactly what I wanted it to be from the demo a year ago.

A small indie game starting the biggest failure in gaming Im honestly really surprised how the game came out It mixes both Mario and Sonic’s controls and skills and gives it to Bubsy The game is really well to control and the voice acting is great and the speedrun potential in this game is nuts The cons: The game being 1-2 hours long Bubsy’s moves not being that original A bunch of Glitches with the terrain especially with the fur-ball move The level design in general screams tech demo design After fully completing the game it left me wanting more and that is the main problem with the game for me personally there isnt a lot of content. Really hope fabraz and everyone else who was involved with this game comes back for another Bubsy project This game isnt on par with Sonic or Mario But it is a enjoyable time and Bubsy genuinely could start climbing out the ditch (Also the fact BUBSY got a new game before Rayman makes me sad come on Ubisoft)

O jogo é muito divertido :3 finalmente Bubsy teve um jogo descente, só pela redenção desse mascote para mim merece um 9
