Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a surprisingly robust and faithful adaptation of the beloved anime, delivering an expansive story mode, deep character exploration, and a combat system that blends accessibility with strategic depth. Though it suffers from occasional animation hiccups and minor visual bugs, it stands tall as one of the best single-player anime fighting game experiences in recent memory—especially for longtime fans of the series.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is a solid fighting game based on Tite Kubo's manga, perhaps the best production related to the franchise. It's not a perfect fighting game and there are some problems with online matches, but it's a solid base to start from.

Rebirth of Souls takes some risks that pay off. Although a bit too complicated and poorly explained, its fighting system ends up being quite satisfying. It's a well-thought-out fighting game that could have used more of the 'oomph' Bleach deserves, but is still a welcome addition to the market, which hasn't seen many titles from this series in a long time.

Rebirth of Souls, a game that has been waiting for a new Bleach game for a long time, unfortunately delivers a weaker performance than I expected. It's not a good enough fighting game to satisfy fighting game fans, but it's a full enough game to please manga/anime fans.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls’ combat surpasses the typical anime arena fighter thanks to its intricate battle system and the effort that has been invested in making each character feel unique with their distinct play styles. Although the theatrics of its story mode do not consistently match the spectacle of its crisp character models, the vibrant sword slashes and stylish typography accompanying each super move help compensate for those shortcomings. Despite not fully delivering on its ambitious promise to elevate anime arena fighters to new heights, Rebirth of Souls is still a welcome latecomer to the genre for this series.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls knows how to be spectacular without neglecting to offer a certain amount of gameplay complexity, something most 3D fighting games based on a manga/anime can't boast. But, unfortunately, the rest of the game is not up to par, and it doesn't manage to achieve the Bankai.

For fight fans looking for a good scrap Bleach Rebirth of Souls, is a fairly solid fighter with some clever mechanics that don’t quite hit the mark due to a lack of game modes, some obnoxious difficulty spikes in the main campaign, and a block button that lets you get hit far too easily. As such, I can only recommend Bleach Rebirth of Souls to die hard desperate to take a more hands on trip to the Soul Society.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls was a fun ride, especially as a fan of the series. I really enjoyed seeing the characters and abilities brought to life, it definitely nails the vibe of Bleach. Some fights feel great, and there are moments where you really get that “anime battle” feeling. That said, it doesn’t always hold up on the gameplay side. Combat can feel a bit repetitive after a while, and it lacks depth compared to other fighting games. I also found myself wishing for more variety in modes and **** the end, I had a good time with it, but mostly because I like the universe. Solid, but not something I’ll come back to long-term.

I went in wanting to enjoy this game, hoping it could serve either as a replacement or supplement to watching 300+ episodes of the show. I tried to enjoy it, getting through most of the 2nd arc before I just gave up. The gameplay is fine. I can see why people enjoy it, offering a more tactical approach and presenting a style usually reserved for arena battlers, with a more refined fighting game style focus. That is about where any praise I might have for this game ends. As a replacement for the show, it is awful. It cuts out massive swaths of the story, replacing them with awfully paced and "animated" cutscenes. The voice acting is horribly sub par, with many of them sounding like they are AI generated, mispronouncing words they said fine in the show. The voice used on recaps between chapters is definitely AI, and sounds awful. The animations outside of active gameplay is laughable, with plenty of canned animation, awkward model movement, and environment interaction that seems like it would look poorly made in a $20 indie game. I don't care about the lip sync - I expect that to be off, but the actual movements of the characters in cutscenes remind me of Sonic Adventure, with fewer unique animations. There are also frequent cut-to-black transitions replacing such animations - standing up, crouching, etc. We don't see the characters move, it just cuts to black, and they've changed positions. The difficulty curve in the story mode is less a curve and more of a scatter plot. A friend said it was "true to the show", but that doesn;t make it fun in my opinion. There were several times I won a fight I had been forced to retry over and over, and I didn't feel like I had accomplished anything. I felt like I had gotten lucky, because I had not done anything noticeably different. I'm sure there's a lot to recommend here for hardcore fans of the franchise, and I can see there's something here, but it feels shoddily done, more like it wascranked out as a response to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and Demon Slayer games, intended to capitalize on the Thousand Year Blood War series than actually provide a fun experience.
