Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, como juego de la PSP expande y sistematiza el engranaje que se introdujo en Tekken 5 y que supuso el momento álgido de la matemática interna de esta saga. Este juego, además para una consola portátil, tiene características de estructura, equilibrio, reloj identitario y mecanismos que funcionan a la perfección, todo bien engrasado, explícito, complejo y profundo para jugadores experimentados. DR es el sistema más cerrado de toda la saga y en esta consola llega a su máximo apogeo, exceptuando la edición HD para PS3 que no cuenta, desafortunadamente, con modo entrenamiento.
