Whether Bang-On Balls has a long life depends on your attention span; it was fine to play in ten-minute bursts (perfect for Steam Deck) in between other games, but it contains so many ‘moments’ of carnage that get lost among the pinballing back and forth. For all the carnage, the collectibles, and the skirmishes, it’s not a memorable game, but it is incredibly enjoyable for those few-minute bursts.

I discovered it because it’s in the PS+ Extra catalog. The game is very creative and it’s just so much fun to play! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys 3D platformers..

Bang-On Balls gets our highest recommendation, with no caveats. The worlds are huge, the game is beautiful, the action is fun, the secrets are deep. With a ton of interesting activities, intriguing puzzles, and cool stuff to collect, Bang-On Balls feels like developer Exit Plan threw in everything, including the kitchen sink. This is new benchmark for action-exploration-bouncing-combat-platformer games.

Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is a true return to classic collect-a-thons, there is just too much to do. Complete the quests, get cosmetics, gather collectibles, get cosmetics, destroy the world, get cosmetics... and then look good while doing it, too.

Awesome game. Huge maps, tons of collectibles, lot's of funny secrets to discover and the gameplay is smooth and fast. Great fun in multiplayer. A+ Would recommend.

Genuinely such an amazing game. I remember in early access I would await every time a new update would come out, so I could play the new level with my friend. A very unexpected hit for me. Even if you don't like or aren't familiar with Countryballs (like me), you'll still enjoy this game. The levels are gigantic, with something crammed in every corner. The graphics are amazing for what the game is. I recommend this game to anybody, if you love 3d platformers and collect-a-thons, please play it.
