XCOM 2: War of the Chosen9
Sep 22, 2017
This expansion makes XCOM2 harder and more unforgiving, giving also so much content with the new factions and the choosen messing around. the new training system, the soldiers which buddy together and get special bound abilities make the strategic dimension of this game even larger than before. New Enemies make the game harder, your soldiers will die. a lot. to be mentioned the new options, when you start a new campaign, to double the avatar project meter and the mission timers, since the game gets harder, i really suggest to do so. nice compatibility with the precedent must-have expansion Shen's Last Gift and the one of the Vahlen superaliens. you can choose to have a simpler experience by adding the extra content (sparks, weapons and the three alien kings) without having the dedicated missions. that's good, after all, since the experience would be extra hard if not made so. All and all, a phenomenal must buy game and expansion.

a Simple Indie game die>restart>die utill u get to the end. well made, well balanced, well looking and fun. Controls are well made. The ships does what you want it to do. give it a shot, it's worth and challenging, but as is, it wont get you long time before passing to something else.

Campaign is nice (not great), with a good story (just good) and some really nice mechanics. you will learn to use the weapons and know the Titans that you will then face in the real game: the Multiplayer. Maps? not many Weapons? some are good, just a bit are excellent, many **** Titans? some are overpowered (Tone, Legion i'm talking to you!) so why 9/10? Because the game is FUN. ADDICTIVE. Most fun and engaging PvP in FPS i ever had. try it. you'll love. and if you **** at FPS, get a EVA-8 or an Alternator as a weapon, Tone as Titan. You'll rock (yes, the matchmaking is really well made). So no excuses, play this game. You deserve it! if you're a pro FPS monster (i'm not, i'm noob), you'll get as much adrenaline as you want, sit into your Ronin and/or go gunning with some serious assault rifle. We do play FPS PvP to have fun, aren't we? Then this game is really an experience you must'nt miss. Have fun... What the hell are you waiting for?

Lot of bad reviews not about the game but how the server launch was handled. the first month it was QueueAge with incredible 6h-long queues on lot of the servers. then October came and all began to work smoothly (for patrons). THE GOOD: The game is a great hybrid Sandbox - Themepark, so you can choose how hard the sandbox part will punch in your face (because it WILL happen, but you will learn to risk only what you can afford to loose). Relaxing but full of things to do, this game is strongly about getting a piece of land to claim your own and do PVP. Lot of PVP. open world battleground like Mistmerrow and Halcyona are incredibly fun, the battles at Sea, chasing player driven merchant ships to kill them all and claim their loot (never went fishing, but i sold a lot of marlins and sailfishes from other player's fishing boats ) or killing the Abyssal Kraken.. That's fun, deadly, rewarding. In PVP sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. Gear impacts a lot on what you can do, but you can get very far with an intelligent build (120 "classes" in wich invest 28 specialization points means you can do very good / horrible builds) and a well tought gear. Patron is necessary to get an edge on the game, but you're not forced to pay for it: with a good economy, after some months you can play patron for free. Yes, retaining also your real life. Not only PVP, Sea and Battlegrounds, the game is also about crafting in a way so meagniful you've never seen in any other mmo. That's also one of the game problems, the end game gear is quite nearly impossible to craft: but you can decide where you will get. Combat pets and mounts have ability and gear. They must be levelled up. Some can also be morphed to a much powerfull variant. They are not "an ability" but "an object". Ships and Veicles, you can have them as well as an house and some fields to cultivate or.. well do whathever makes money. And the glider, or a Pegasus mount. To fly. Well, glide down... There is a lot to do out there. You don't really even need to quest to level up. THE BAD: The "regrading" mechanics: you have to empower (regrade) your gear. YOU WILL DO IT. and you will suffer : gear is going to downgrade or destroy. And you have to start over again and again... and again. This is frustrating. So much. Game is Gear dependant. A lot.
