This game is a masterpiece. I'm playing it for 40 hours and I love the areas, music, the factions, the setting, the freedom to explore, the plot, dialogues, etc. I played Infinity Engine games and I must say that with Pillars of Eternity 2 I'm enjoying the game as I did almost 20 years ago with Baldur's Gate.

Great strategy medieval low-magic game, where tactical turn combat is epic/great. Campaings are sandbox, where towns give you procedural missions in a procedural overland map. Good features of this game are: -Tactical combat of course. You must use different strategies and skills according to your opponents: thugs, goblins, orcs, wolves.... some battles you play are memorable. -Party management, with lots weapons and gear to use. You must control your money, tools (for repairing gear), food and medicines. -The visuals. The art design is great. -Sandbox style, where you can travel around an interesting overland map, doing the missions you want and trading to earn an extra money.

Excellent game that combines turn based combat RPG with micromanagement of XCOM. The graphic aspect is superb. The illustrator has created a great environment. I love the tactical combats in which you must think what attack is the best in each turn according to the resistances of the monsters. There is a big number of enemies and skills. You must play lots of battles in order to advance, and if you don't want to lose warriors easily, you must think smart and don't hurry to finish the game fast. The game has the micromanagement of XCOM. There is a village that is your HQ, where the adventurers improve their skills, and recover from diseases and mental injuries. You can choose from a roster who are the adventurers that are going to the next quest. Another gem from kickstarter.

Nice game that mixes the strategy of Sid Meier's civilization/colonization, the roleplaying events of Expeditions: Conquistador and the combat of a card game. The strategic: You only have one village in a medieval world. You can't do more villages/cities, but you can explore the terrain (there are fog of war) and enter in places like ruins, caves in order to take loot or fight against roaming monsters. In your village you harvest resources, craft food and weapons, and build different structures. You have initially 10 citizens with different habilities: crafters and gatherers will remain in the village, and with warriors and healer you can create an expedition. Roleplaying: Your initial 10 members have name and abilities, and they gain experience improving automatically their skills. During your expedition travels, you will have events (like Expedition: Conquistador), and after playing for a while appears an event related to the plot. In order to win you must complete the plot events/missions, travelling from on point to another in the map. At the end, I found a little boring this feature, you get tired of travelling from one random point to another random point. At the final part of the game, the strategic part loses importance and the game focuses in the plot. Combat: Nice card based combat. At the begining you will find it confusing, but after that, it's very fun and has a good strategy content, you must decide what card or skill to use. On the other hand, in one walkthrough, while you are exploring the map, you can repeat the same encounters (for example 1 blood bee and 4 normal bees vs your expedition) lots of times. At the end, when you want to finish the game, is a little boring to repeat those encounters. Thea is a good and original experience that combines nice elements. Developers failed at kickstarter campaign, but they have succeeded creating this nice game.

Great strategy-RPG game. It combines party management, simple turn based combat, beautiful medieval 3D landscapes, nice histories and missions. Very entertaining I played it on spanish language and it's perfectly translated. Furthermore, this game has the possibility of create your own scenarios.

Beautiful small independent game. It's original because you create the dungeon tile by tile, you put the monsters and loot on the tiles and your dugeoneer moves automatically lured by gold or monsters. Before buying it, I recommend to you to see some video. If you like the video you´ll like the game. It has a different approaching: your dungeoneers only level up during each dungeon. If the dungeoneer succeeds in the mission he return to level 0. If your minion dies, another minion of the same class replaces it. You obtain different classes buying rooms in your guild. The strong points of this adventure are the interesting card-based combat, the different strategies you can do depending the characteristics of the boss and the class of your dungeoneer. The different bosses and their card decks. At the final stages it's a bit repetitive and the lenght is short, but I have had a lot of fun in some combats.

Great game. It mixes futuristic spionage setting with the turn-based gameplay of XCOM. This game is not complex like XCOM, and is short in duration. In 7-8 missions (you can choose the type of mission each time) you can finish the game in 5-6 hours of gameplay. And it has procedural generation of areas. Therefore each mission and each campaign is different, adding to this game a high replayability. You can set the difficulty of the campaign controlling each aspect: number of rooms per mission, number of guards, etc. I like the way you interact with the enviroment, the aesthetics, the habilities of each agent, the use of gadgets, very important at the end of the game, and the strategy to overcome the different missions. If you like short-time strategy high quality games, like FTL, this game can be interesting for you.

Beautiful game. The best of the kickstarter funded games. A perfect sucessor of the Infinity Engine games. If you liked Baldur's Gate Icewind Dale or Planescape Torment, you should play Pillars of Eternity. In order to have a better experience of the game, it's recommended, before start playing, to read about the setting: deities, recent and historical events, geography, races, factions, regions, etc. I love the setting, a mix of renaissance, colonial, medieval era, in which human souls are the center of the plot. I love too the music, companions, the beautiful areas to explore. The plot is well written and original. I liked the ending too. Combat, one of the main features of the game, is great but the only problem is that the game is not well balanced. Playing on hard mode, I only found 4-5 difficult battles in all the game. The rest was too easy. I reccomend to avoid playing Pillars of Eternity on Normal or Easy mode. Now I'll wait to the release of the expansion. I hope to see more games in this beautiful setting. ;D

Beautiful game that combines naval exploration, arcade combat, roguelique elements like FTL and lots of histories. Is lovely to sail with a small boat through the dark sea, full of perils, sea monsters, islands, histories, etc. - I like the detail of each isle/ archipielago. I reccomend to you to play this game with the lights out in your room in order to appreciate better the darkness. - I like the music, very frightening and suffocating. - I've enjoyed the histories told in the diferent isles, and the different people you meet through your travels. - The only problem I've experienced is that you need a high english level to enjoy the adventures. I have a mid level and I'm constantly using a translator in my mobile to understand the meaning of lots of sentences. - Combat is basic but I liked it. Sometimes AI for enemies is not smart. - This is a game with lots of histories to read. If you don't like reading texts in games, this is not your game. Another gem from kickstarter ;D

Nice game. I like the sense of progression of your character, obtaining clothes, water, medicines while scavenging. I love the stats system: thirst, rest, food, health etc. The crafting system is nice, but very repetitive. Combat is simple but interesting too. The only thing I don't like is the way you die, always frustrating. You think you have all under control after fighting against weather, hunger, foes, etc. and then, a group of enemies appears, you can't flee and they kill you. I miss more information, like damage and range of weapons, how to use some objects, abilities. The manual should be improved. Anyway, a good game to having fun and one of the best rogue-likes I played.

Lovely game very similar to Faster Than Light (FTL, the king of roguelike games), but in another setting, medieval instead of the spaceships setting of FTL. Crowntakers, like FTL, has an adventure that consists in random events, with 8 areas plenty of events in houses, lakes, caves, etc. Combat is great and challenging. And items management is very important to success at the end. The variety of soldiers that form your team is nice and balanced. At this moment the game is bugfree an perfect for playing. All FTL fans should play this game.

Faster than light is the example of a perfect Rogue-Like game. It´s simple but very addictive. Combat is great and intense, it has a high quality music. Management of your ship (weapons, shields, crew) is perfect. Events are well written and interesting. It's well balanced and bug free. A perfect game for people who like short games. I've been playing this game and its last update for 2 years and I continue having a lot of fun with it. Another gem from kickstarter.

I like this game. It is like TotalWar battles but more faster, efficient and funny. The most entertaining moment is when you have all your troops and artillery engaged face to face with enemy troops. This is TOTAL WAR ;D I miss more scenarios. Only playing Gettysburg scenario makes game repetitive. I'd like to see in the future more scenarios in the american civil war or in other wars.

This game is a masterpiece. At first you see the graphics and the game doesn't seem attractive, but the gameplay is perfect, in my opinion is better than the original xcom. There are 3 very strong points: 1 combat, with an interesting AI (it's easy to suffer casualties), 2 base management, and 3, wolrd map strategy, much deeper and funnier than the original XCOM. The problem I see is that an entire campaign lasts too much hours. Graphics can be obsolete but for me is not a problem. This game is pure gameplay and graphics are not important. I enjoyed more this game than Firaxis Xcom (nice graphics but limited gameplay). All original XCOM fans should play this game. Congrats to the developers and we must be happy to enjoy another gem from the kickstarter initiave.

I like too the variety of buildings, the management of resources and the weather. Is easy to learn to play. I haven't experienced bugs or serious issues. Great game and is incredible is done by only one developer.
