New Pokemon Snap
10
User Scoreironwalrus3

This game is everything I wanted it to be. I loved the original pokemon snap and I was really hoping it would have similar gameplay but with a little more dynamic levels and more content. I got exactly that. For people who felt the game was too short or wasn't anything more than just taking pictures didn't spend much time exploring the game. There are tons of secrets and events you can trigger much like the original game, only there are significantly more. The levels are all packed full of action, all of which have three variations based on rank and a Day and Night mode. The On-Rails gameplay is essential to make this game a fun challenge. If you could just move freely, there would be no challenge in getting good pictures or triggering events, the game would just be boring and hardly even a game.

A perfect score might seem crazy for this game, but it earns it because it was absolutely everything I hoped it would be. I grew up in the golden age of beat'em ups, and Streets of Rage was always one of the best. This latest entry continued that legacy while also distinguishing itself as a unique experience rather than simply rehashing the old games. I played through the story with my brother hoping it would recapture some of the great times we had playing it on our sega genesis as kids. It delivered in spades and it was an absolute blast! Can't wait to play through it again with the retro filter, music, and unlockable characters.

It is a decent **** only if you really love the Ninja Turtles. From a visual standpoint, it is absolutely perfect. This is how a Ninja Turtles game should look. The game itself is a little repetitive and the gameplay incredibly deep. There's enough variation to get you through the game, but I found myself needing breaks. It is definitely meant to be played with multiple people, but I didn't really know anyone else that got it on the same platform so I played solo. It is too bad it didn't have local multiplayer, I can understand why but it's still a bummer.

One of the most unique and rich gaming experiences I've had since Smash Bros. I don't know how to describe how good it feels to keep getting better at this game. You start of flailing around like a crazy **** are well aware of your inability to play well but you still have such a great time. Over time you'll find yourself making contact easier and controlling the ball like you never imagined. The explosion after each successful goal is exhilarating, but it's still just as fun to laugh when things don't go as planned.

It is a lot more fun that I expected! I wasn't too sure about the game at first but the inklings are growing on me and the nickelodeon vibe it's got going on is also welcome. I only wish they had full local multiplayer!

This new iteration offers a great balance of familiarity and new spice. Between the increased amount of stages/characters, new modes, custom move sets, functional online, and 8-player smash...there is no shortage of exciting new content to enjoy for smash fans looking for something new. For those who have never played a smash before, jump right in and enjoy the ride!

The biggest gripe people seem to be having is the online lag. I'm playing with a 30mbps connection using a decent wireless router (Asus RT-N56U). Most of the 1v1 matches I've had were completely without lag, but every now and then I would experience lag. If the other user(s) have a poor connection or an old/cheap wireless router, everyone will suffer. This is just a fact of life and there is nothing the game can really do about it. That said, the game is everything I could dream of and more for a wireless version of the game. It has a excellent amount of content and great replayability both locally and online. The only shortcoming is that I had to get hand grip for my system so my thumbs wouldn't get so sore so easily. Its great for a portable experience which I'm thrilled to have available to me. Its perfect for smaller sessions of play. I've been playing hours and hours of the game, which admittedly are better suited for the Wii U version when it comes out. All in all, the game is exactly what a handheld version of smash bros should be.

The pay to play model used is a massive disservice to the franchise of a fine show, to the developers of an otherwise good game, to the video game industry, and above all to the fans and would-be customers. You make people pay $3.99 for the game without any indication that they would potentially have to pay more money later. This is incredibly dishonest and greedy and shouldn't even be legal. If there are going to be pay to play fees then it should be free to start. Although honestly I would much rather pay $10-15 for a complete game to begin with. This is an anti-consumer money grab and its not at all mathematical.

I tried to look passed the poor behavior of the developers (which I definitely regret), but the game still failed me. I first tried playing on a server with about 70+ people. I ran around killing zombies with my flash light while players were continuously banned. Eventually as I was running clueless through an endless forest, I got banned. I joined another server after that and it didn't get any better. The zombies were very glitchy and got stuck a lot, but other than that it ran fine. I had no lag or anything (and usually do not with my internet connection), so I'm not sure why I got banned. Not worth the measly $4 I paid for it.

If you enjoyed the first luigi's mansion, I think you'll like this even more. Luigi is hilarious, the music is great, the environments are lots of fun, and the gameplay strikes a good balance between not changing it too much while adding a fresh new feel. They did change the game up a bit to be more "mission" oriented which is to help it work better for portable play. Rest assured, you can still explore the mansions and there are plenty of hidden secrets to hunt for. The multiplayer is a lot of fun if you play with friends either online or locally (IT HAS DOWNLOAD PLAY!! Yes!!!) I had some trouble going online playing against people worldwide, I'm not really sure why Point lost on that one though. The game doesn't have much replayability, but I wasn't really expecting it from this type of game. I've got other games to play and things to do, I just wanted a nice fun experience which is exactly what I got!

First off, the squirrel suit is awesome...They added some nice extra modes in this to extend the fun beyond what some of the previous NSMB games have had. The visuals look really nice on the wii u. The music feels like they stepped it up a bit in this versus the previous games which I thought had pretty cheesy circus music. This is another solid platformer with a nice challenge to it. If you are trying to figure out what wii u game to **** can't really go wrong with this one.

I finally finished the game and I have to say my final verdict is that this is the best 3DS game to date. I'll start with controls since that's what most people complained about. The truth is that the controls are not bad at all, they are just different than any game that's out there right now and it takes time to get used to. Once you overcome the challenge of the learning curve, you will find that you can control pit perfectly fine. The hand cramp issue exists with any fast paced stylus controlled game, you just have to learn to play in smaller 1-2 hour spurts. The music is some of the best I've ever heard in a game in a long time. The story is fun, well paced, dynamic, and carefully integrated into the game so that it doesn't feel like story and play time are completely separated. There are a lot of fun, memorable characters that were introduced. The game's weapon fusing, buying, selling, testing, and even gem swapping add a nice touch to the games complexity. The weapons are all very different and can have different stats depending on what you fuse. There are a TON of unlockables, secrets, and extra challenges that wait for those looking for a game to last them a while. The story mode should take you about 12-15 hours, but you still have a lot to do once you beat it. You can play against others online or locally any time, you can go back to levels and play on higher difficulties to get even better weapons or get higher scores. You can go through the achievement treasure hunts to unlock even more stuff. The artwork and visuals looked very high quality and the design was very unique. The 3D effects in the game do actually work very well, I found my self turning it on and off depending on the intensity of the game. All in all, this is game was very refreshing and very satisfying. It is great for both novice and veteran gamers alike. If you are looking to break away from the repetitive game designs that plague the industry today, then I strongly recommend this title.

This game in no way shape or form deserves ANYTHING below a 5, such scores should be reserved for truly abysmal games. I would give this a 8 or 9 out of 10, but I feel the need to counteract the trolls. First of all, this is an amazing star wars game I would recommend to any fan of the movies. Second, the storytelling, notable bioware conversation system, and the voice acting are all outstanding. Unlike any MMO I've played before it, I actually care about the story. The main story arc for each class is very enjoyable and even the side quest stories can be interesting. I cannot understand the hate.

Another outstanding mario game! If you like Mario 64, Galaxy 1, or Galaxy 2...I think you'll enjoy this game too. The gameplay is fun and crazy (I about pooped my pants when I first saw Bowser with a tanooki tail!). The 3D actually looks very good in this game, for once I found myself playing with it on more than off.

I'm a very big fan of the original Cave Story. It is an amazing game with a fantastic gameplay that has a perfect, adjustable difficulty level with very precise controls. The story is funny and charming, the artwork (in both the orignal freeware and wiiware/dsiware revamps) has always been good, and the music is catchy as hell. The reason I say all this about the old game is because it's my basis for comparison. Cave Story 3D gives you two game modes "Story" and "Classic" both of them are the same except in classic your character and all the enemies are old 2D sprites instead. The visuals are very details and look very nice, although one problem I do have is that they are very dark to the point where sometimes its hard to see whats going on. The music in this game has been fully improved which is saying a lot since the original music was amazing. The 3D effects work well and are very adjustable (I've noticed some games is basically on or its off...with this the depth slider works very well). I get a little aggressive while playing a fast paced game like this so its easier for me to play with it off. I kind of wish there were more extra's in this game since it retails for $39.99, but aside from the music and graphics change, the only thing they added was the ability to play as a Prinny from Disgaea (Which is pretty awesome I guess). In all honestly, I think I like the DSI version of this game better. But I think $50.00 for three versions (3ds, dsi, and the original free pc version) of an amazing game is worth it, and Pixel deserves it. It is also nice to have a physical copy of this game. I'd give Cave Story 3D a 10 but it drops to a 9 because the visuals are are too dark and less charming than the vivid graphics of the dsi/wiiware versions.

This was a revolutionary game in its time. There had never been anything like it before and there honestly isn't a single game out there today that compares to the series despite several attempts to mimic it. It all started with this brilliant title. Electric Playground should be banished from both the gaming community and stripped of any recognition as a reliable game journalism source. You can't even read the original review anymore because you get a 404 error. Honestly a 20? Bias and opinion is completely out of the window here...I've heard more reasonable opinions from ten year olds.

I'm baffled by how low of a score this got. Star Fox Adventures was an awful Star Fox game (note it wasn't a bad game generally speaking). This game lived up to my expectations as to what a star fox game should be. The Arwing and Landmaster controls feel very familiar and I had no trouble adjusting to them. Since it was extremely difficult to unlock the On-Foot mode for multiplayer in star fox 64 (yes, that exists...) I only got to try that out a little bit. But it wasn't too far off from what they had in this game when you were on foot. The single player story, while not as good as star fox 64's, was very enjoyable. As a star fox fan I felt very gratified when I finished it. I actually thought it was a bit long for a star fox game, but it wasn't too long that you couldn't play through it in a sitting. This is important because with the first two (released) star fox games they have high replay values and play more like arcade games. In short, if you are a fan of star fox or simply a fan of 3rd person rail **** should check this game out.
