A someone who has been playing Tomodachi Life since it came out, I have nothing but praise for the love that went into it. From day one I had been entranced by the idea to have these little avatars interact with each other, for better or for worse, but mostly...weird. The game can be awkward, baffling, and even slightly unsettling at times, but with a blank slate like the Miis, they really used it well. The dress up and interior customisation is simple, but very effective and compliments the main focus (the Mi's faces)rather well, and neither feel out of place with the rest of the artstyle. Not to mention the real images used for the food and other items, which only add to the absurd nature of the game! The amount of content in the game is impressive too - I'm still finding things I never knew about after 10 years of playing! I totally recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of life sims, avatar makers, or have characters they want to experiment with!

Miitopia is honestly my favourite game of all time. On a surface level,it seems that the main fun that comes out of it is inserting your own friends, family, and silly characters into it to watch them mess around. And to an extent, they're not wrong. It can be really fun seeing your Mii's interact, work together, have disagreements, and get into other shenanigans. But beyond that, this game has genuine heart and a beautiful story which, goofy as it may be, can be incredibly emotional at times. The animations, graphics and artstyle are also on point and look beautiful on the Switch, but the music in particular stands out to me. I have many of the songs in my playlists because I can't help but listen to them outside of gameplay. I hope you try out this game, because it truly has so much to give.
