A friend of mine kept telling me to play Yakuza 0, and I kept holding off because I thought it would be over-the-top and not very serious. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The story is amazing, but what really stands out are the characters. Their personalities are incredibly well written, and the voice acting is absolutely insane—it adds so much depth and emotion to every scene. The combat is fun as hell too, with different styles that keep things fresh and engaging.
The game is huge, by the way, and even though I only played through the main story, it still felt like a complete and unforgettable experience.
Metroid Prime 4 finally gave me this Nintendo-y feeling that I have long time to experience. I don't know how it compares to the rest of the series - I've played only Metroid Prime 1 Remaster when it came out - but I loved it! I love the areas and map design, plus now you have a fine motorcycle to traverse them. The Metroidvania aspect is a bit weak apparently, but I loved the exploration, even though wasn't the same as stronger games in the genre or the series itself. I wouldn't get lost at all is what I am saying. The visuals are amazing as well and the 120fps mode was so good. I played almost the whole game handheld just for that. It was a great game overall.
I have no words for the writting of this masterpiece. It is very slow in the beggining but as it goes, it becomes incredibly darker and intruguing. It will easily hook you up to the last moment. I put a 9 because the slice of life moments kind of drag and I don't think it's necessary to make them so lengthy.
Its a good vn in general but definetely not up there with the Nonary games. I like the ideas that are presents, and the plot is good. But I found it less "serious" that the other games. The cast is more boring, voice acting is meh, and the escape roons are very difficult to be fun. Many people have labeled it as trash but it's not that bad. Just don't have high expectations.
(Ongoing)
I just finished the first chapter and I was shocked with this masterpiece of writting and mystery build up. It's a bit slow at first, like the first 10-15 but even those are so well written that I didn't get bored reading. The character design is also incredible. I loved the horror scenes as well, they are so stress full. Incredible game up to now.
This visual novel may be short compared to others I’ve played, but it was a really enjoyable experience. The story was engaging, the characters were interesting, and the pacing felt smooth and natural. Despite its length, it managed to keep me hooked from start to finish. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
It's fun as hell. I was sceptical buying it because I currently am not in the mood for gaming but I am kind of addicted with it. The progression is great, the gameplay super fun, and has a good variety of weapons, items, characters and stages. The only thing I find a bit stupid is that you can harvest resources each time you finish a run. But this becomes boring later on because if you want to grind you just start a run, die inmediately, collect resources and repeat. This is nothing tho to the fun you'll receive. Highly recommended.
I bought only Galaxy 2 since I already own 3D All stars so I just replayed Galaxy 1 there. I really don't understand why Nintendo won't update the game you already paid for and basically re-remasters the same game with the only change being 4K on Switch 2 and some "refined" textures. They aren't even trying to hide the money grabbing anymore. 70 euros for HD versions that used to cost 20 euros each as Nintendo Selects on Wii? Are we serious..? I hope the good old days return. As of the games themeselves, I don't have much to say. We all know they are considered 2 of the best 3D platformers of all time, even thought I prefer Galaxy 1 by a longshot. These are masterpieces but the 70 euros price tag is ridiculous, sorry.
The combat is very fun but the platforming is meh. If it had more action it would be more fun by my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it for this price Personally, for 10-15 euros it's very good.
Really great game with tons of more stuff than Hades 1, there is no many things to say. Agood succesor to an already great game. My personal issue is that most of the weapons are very difficult and slow to play with. I prefer the weapons of Hades 1 by far.
I’m going to be honest with this review. This game was literally the only one in recent years that had me waiting with real excitement for its release. And yes, as a whole, it’s easily one of the best games we’ve gotten in the last few years. BUT, I don’t find it better than Hollow Knight. Why? Mainly because it feels… harder but for the wrong reasons. Don’t get me wrong, I love challenge, but this isn’t the good kind of challenge. At times, it’s just plain annoying. Coming from FromSoftware games, I never understood the punishing runbacks. Sure, it’s brutal, but it feels like it exists only to make you mad (and maybe pad playtime). Sadly, the devs here borrowed that idea, and it’s just not fun. They aren’t ridiculously difficult, but they’re definitely frustrating, especially with some enemy placements clearly designed to make you want to throw your controller at the screen. And then we get to the bosses. You’ll face runbacks often, because you’re going to die a lot in these fights. Why? Not because the bosses are difficult and fun, with badass movesets like in Hollow Knight. No, most of the time they just spam random mobs or deal absurd amounts of damage with basic attacks (sometimes just by touching them). There are only a few that are actually fun to fight. Even regular enemies can deal 2 damage, which feels like a "lazy" way to make things harder. Sure, you heal more in this game, but honestly, I’d rather heal less than constantly take double damage. Those two issues - runbacks and cheap difficulty - are my biggest gripes. Apart from that, it’s the Hollow Knight you know and love. Exploration is still a blast, combat is smooth, and the platforming is harder this time around if you are into that. The lore? No clue what’s going on, but that’s what YouTube is for. At the end of the day, this is still a very good game. It’s challenging, fun, and manages to somewhat live up to its predecessor. But poor boss design, cheap difficulty tricks (like double damage and mob spawns), and frustrating enemy placements keep it far below Hollow Knight in my opinion. As for performance on Switch 2: flawless. Smooth framerate, great visuals, no issues at all. And major props to the devs, that while most studios these days charge 70–80 euros, they dropped this gem for only 20. Plus, it offers at least 40 hours if you’re aiming for 100%. Absolutely worth it, but have those problems in mind.
Very smooth gameplay and mechanics. However, it's very easy to start playing around breaking things instead of caring about the main story. I don't know if this is bad or good. Amazing game over all though.
Honestly, it's been years since a game made me feel this way. After so long, I'd grown numb to most video games — rarely feeling anything at all. But this one reminded me that great things can still come. The characters are incredibly well-written, like real people with depth and personality. The world is big, but not overwhelmingly huge, which I actually prefer. It's just the right size to feel alive without becoming a chore to explore. Visually, the graphics are stunning. Every area is a feast for the eyes. But the best part? The combat. It's exceptionally polished. The parry mechanic adds a sharp, action-oriented edge to the classic turn-based RPG style, and it works beautifully. A must-play.
A Very Fun Entry, But Not Without Its Flaws The new entry is undeniably fun. Driving feels better than ever, thanks to improved animations and new mechanics that make handling more polished and satisfying. Visually, the game is a noticeable step up, and additions like Knockout Tour bring fresh, enjoyable modes that expand the experience in meaningful ways. However, there are some clear downgrades compared to the previous title. The structure of Grand Prix and Knockout Tour has taken a hit. Most of the time, you're driving along flat, long-distance roads before getting to one or two laps of the actual tracks. When I heard there would be connecting roads between courses, I expected them to enhance the experience—not replace core racing content with dull straightaways. That trade-off feels like a **** if the majority of these roads are flat, then where is 200cc? It would make perfect sense here, yet it’s bafflingly absent. The design seems to beg for it, but the developers didn’t follow through. Free Roam mode also feels like filler. It's mildly entertaining but ultimately pointless—a mode that seems to exist more to kill time than offer meaningful gameplay. Online multiplayer has taken a noticeable hit as well. Races have become chaotic brawls, with driving skill often taking a back seat to item spam and luck. It feels more like a party brawler than a racing game. You can go from first to last, and vice versa in seconds, not because of skill, but due to the chaotic item pool. Knockout Tour and Battle modes are better online, but the core issues still linger. A month post-launch, the player count has already dropped off significantly. This speaks volumes. Overall, I had more fun with MK8, and at a steep €90 for the physical edition, this one doesn’t quite justify its price tag. It's still a very enjoyable game, just not the best in the MS series. Let's hope for free DLCs down the line to flesh it out and give players a reason to keep coming back.
The artstyle is fantastic, and the game is very interesting in general. However, I thinkit should point oout more on the names of the crewmates. You can't deduce many of them. You know how they died but not who they are.
Good game in general, I played it recently after the version 2.0 dropped and haven't played the original. The main bosses are interesting, and fun most of them even though I can't say they gave me a hard time (I come after 1000 hours in souls-borne though). The areas are also fun to explore even though It's not near enough to DS1. It's way more linear with mostly alternate paths here and there that lead to dead ends. It has some interconnectivity though later on. I didn't like the small variety of enemies that repeat through out the game though. Also, it is still a bit buggy to textures but nothing game breaking. By my opinion, it's definetely worthy of a playthrough or two, buying on sale of course.
Raging Loop is an engaging read overall. I especially enjoyed the Yomi-purge segments, where humans and wolves play a deadly game of deception, it's a battle of wits. The loop mechanic added a compelling layer to the story, reminding me of Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. However, I was disappointed by the ending. Many of the mysteries aren't given clear or satisfying resolutions. Instead, the story suddenly introduces concepts that feel random and underexplained, leaving you unsure about what really happened. That said, the game’s length—around 30 hours—is just right, and despite its flaws, I think Raging Loop deserves a read in general.
Very challening but great game. I am not that good in the game but I love it. It's mostly trial and error. If you keep playing, you will eventually get good. I don't think you need you necessarilyneed any experiance with other rythm games.
I am not a huge fan of strategy tactics but and don't have much experience but this one is really good. Incredibly challenging as well which makes it more interesting.
It's a good game but kind of uninterested compared to the first entry. The gameplay mechanics are more polished but that's about it. The story is not bad neither.
Very good game with tons of exploring to do, interesting side quests if you are into that, and great npc interactions. But it's aged a lot and consoles aren't the best option for playing this game since there are no quality of life mods.
My first RTS, and I can say I enjoyed it a lot. It's very friendly for begginers of the genre and enjoyable. I would highly recommend it if you want to try the RTS genre.
It feels like I am watching a movie, which shouldn't, since this game is an "action" rpg. Now, I say "action" and not action because it is just cinematic action without any depth whatsoever. So it's basically a combat system masked as action but stats are what basically count. Yeah, there is a parry and dodge mechanic which are pathetic.. Just hold the button and it automatically dodges everything. Same as attacking. The characters seem charming and story kinda interesting, but not that great to make the combat worth unfortunately. Played for 10 hours in case I get used to it. Dropped it, tried it years later...still boring. Final Fantasy was always a controversial series which brought new things and mechanics that people loved or hated, but this game is just a movie that stats count disguised as action. By my opinion it's not worth it, but perhaps it's just me I guess.
If i played this game back in 2003, I would love it. It's so good for it's age. The story is incredible good, raising some great and valid philosophical questions. The characters feel like actual characters, not blund and boring. A foundation of interesting characters is something you can clearly see in today's Persona series. The combat system is top for the genre being simpler but yet very engaging. The way you interact with demons, reqruiting them and fusing them, is very fun and not that complex. The only downside are the dungeons. They feel a bit tedious—filled with trial-and-error labyrinths that don't offer much in terms of excitement. Overall, it's an incredibly good game for its time, but I do feel like it has aged in some aspects.
Very interesting game, I know I am bit late to the party, but still. Now the shooting mechanics are terrible, but who cares. The whole idea is not the shooting, but the story and survival gameplay. It's a bit aged, but I wouldlove to see a modern era Bioshock. Highly recommend it, especially when the Trilogy only costs 9.99 euros on sale.
Truly the best combat in any Monster Hunter by my opinion. The addition of Focus Mode and Weak points made it 1000% more fun and satisfying. Especially for me that played World and Rise with Great Sword. The environments and maps are great as well. As for the monsters, they are a bit easier by my opinion (in the main story) than World's but harder than Rise's. Still very fun fights. The story is a bit uninterested but not bad. The optimize is the only problem based on most people, but while definetely poor, it's not ruining the game. I highly recommend it. Best gameplay and combat by my opinion and a great game for people who want to get in the series.
It is a good game in general but they went super safe with this one by my opinion. This game doesn't have anything special that you won't see in other JRPGs'. Everything is good but just that, nothing special or innovative. It has some pretty impressive visuals and some spectacular movie-like fights though. I recommend it, but have that in mind.
I'm glad that a good Sonic game has finally come out after all this time, but I feel like the controls are really bad. While you can build momentum, the level design seems to work against it. The tracks constantly force you to change directions, but the controls don’t feel responsive enough to keep up. As a result, it's hard to maintain speed. I guess you're meant to learn the stage and play it multiple times, but it feels less like an intentional game mechanic and more like a control issue.
Very fun game. The main story was easier than World's in my opinion which is a good thing if you want to chill and not look into build to much for the very early game. In general, I recommend it but expect something different than the average action jrpg.
Great Tekken game, I am not a veteran in fighting games, but I had a lot of fun with the single player content. Very smooth combat with flashy moves and animations, fun story and great visuals. I recommend it on sale even though if you aren't into fighting games.
I remember being incredibly hyped when Sonic Generations released back in 2011. After so many years later I decided to give Sonic another chance. I wanted to play this game again which I used to love. And indeed, I remember how good this game is. That, which surprised me confoundedly though, was how amazing Shadow Generations turned out to be. I mean, I saw good reviews and stuff but I though that they were positive because it was a better addition in the series, instead of an actually good one. I had very low expectations. But to my surprise, Shadow Generations isn't only a better addition to a ruined franchise, it is simply amazing. The design of the stages are top. Feels like the best flow in any Sonic game I've played. Also, the addition of powers for shadow makes it even better. Sonic Generations is great, but Shadow Generations definetely carries the whole package here. Highly recommended.
Very good action game but I don't think this graphic enhanched release is really worth it for this price. You can get the trilogy remaster in lower price which is incredibly more worth.
Very fun adventure overall. Very simplistic story but humorous. The combat is very fun as well. It's fun exploring the islands but it drags a bit later on in my opinion. Should be a bit smaller in length. It's a fun game, nothing special.
Very fun roguelike, it's a 2D fighter platformer and the combat feels very smooth and satisfying with those combos you can do. There is a good variety of weapons and builds as well. Vey highly recommend it.
