I have always been a huge fan of the mario golf series so I was super excited for this new entry. The game mechanics do work great but the story mode was very disappointing which makes replay value super low. Once you finish it there is not much else to do and leaves you Mii overpowered if you go against others. Sure playing regular rounds of golf and speed golf is a great new edition but there isn't really much else to offer. There is only 6 courses once unlocked which is super disappointing considering other entries had a lot more variety and more courses. This one is better left for a huge sale.

The game is a bit ****, we all get that but it is not the end of the world. Do you become a star over night? no. The transactions are there for you to grind out, level up your player(s) stats and beef up all the teams. So many complaints about this game and the transactions DON'T BUY THEM THEN, actually put in the time like you have to do with most games and you will get the most out of it. The gameplay is a much better improvement over the first one and it is a great pick up and play game especially with your friends. Every mode you play earns you baller points and I find myself starting new seasons on the regular to rack up baller points to spend on the big gold packs which I got a legendary in every pack with one pack including two legends. I really enjoy the season mode, fun new take and can be completed in about an hour or so if you fully crush through it. Much improvements over the first game so if you enjoyed that one you will continue to enjoy this series.

Look, it is almost identical to the ps3 HD collection we got years ago. If you are a fan of the franchise or have never played them before then this is your best chance to experience these games. I am a huge fan of DMC but for people who have never played them before it is not exactly easy to tell them "yeah pick up a ps2 and find the originals" most people don't have the older hardware. These should not be based on a "new" game experience, but to show what these games were/are at the time and allow newcomers to get a chance to try them out in once convenient package. The 60fps is a nice upgrade and the 720p to 1080 is a treat for fans. Don't look at all the negative reviews that don't see the real reason they made these games on newer hardware, if you have never played the franchise, pick this up.

Don't listen to the poor reviews, I was hesitant about this game too but I love the series. People will not shut up about the pricing when its 15 bucks or more, people do realize you don't have to spend the money **** graphics are not the greatest but I ended up spending the 30 bucks to get all the additional packs and I am still happy with my purchase. You do gain money for playing matches and that builds up to spending the cash on basic or deluxe random boxes that improve your army. I played co-op with a friend and had a blast with it, it takes time to manage your strategies but thats what I love, it can be challenging but once you get the feel of the map you can dominate. I especially like the weekly war events they have every week when, once completed, you can get a deluxe pack they show off every week. I think if you want a game that is pick up and play alone or with a buddy and you liked the previous versions of the game, you will not be disappointed. A con that i had was there was no challenge mode like in Cold War, though this is not a huge deal breaker, it would have been nice to see the feature.
