This has to be the most disappointing FF game to date. The combat is bland. Focusing almost entirely on swordplay is a bad move. The car is ridiculously annoying to deal with. Loading times when fast travelling are almost as bad as going there manually. Day/Night cycles is just an additional reason for you to literally wait and do nothing. The game has so much downtime where absolutely nothing happens, I could get a good rest before starting the interesting stuff again. The combat is either completely broken or the tutorials don't show anything of the important parts of dodging, as dodging seems to be just an elusive mechanic which happens once in a while. It's impossible for me to recommend this to anyone, and at a price of 70€, it's expensive as hell for the most overhyped game of the year.

There are good games, there are fun games and there are bad games. This is a fun game. If you actually spend time and do other things than the main story missions, you get a lot more of the creativity that 2K has put into the game. And a lot of it is great and humorous. The fact that it is VERY 'Aussie' is fun, as it makes an opportunity to be ironic about something else. But most of this is found in the optional parts of the game. Which is good, as it doesn't affect the main storyline, which makes a lot of things clearer, but doesn't explain why the plot twist happened in the first place, what the morale of those causing it is. These are questions that are maybe already told in the 2nd game, or via the ECHO logs, but that I've forgotten or missed. It would still be a nice to get the other perspective as well. But at least you get an ENTIRE game with Jack being the boss, one of the best villains (well, 'hero' during this game) in the last couple of years. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel manages to tell the missing part of the story between 1 and 2 in a very good way and good enough to make you sympathetic with Jack and why Borderlands 2's story is how it is. And FINALLY your controllable character is actually a part of many of the dialogues happening throughout the game, with additional punch-lines/monologues. The gameplay is the same as Borderlands 2, but does a very good job at making the gravity of the moon and the oxygen/O2 Kits a BIG part of the game and not just a one time gimmick. There are very few games that have managed to put in things like these on an already existing game, but 2K has done it well. Butt stomping enemies and doing platforming while combining the extra boost given by using oxygen and butt stomping, was used a lot during my playthrough of the game. You never get flooded with quests, like you get in Borderlands 2 and most of the maps are decently sized so that getting to places usually didn't take that long. Throughout the 24 hours I spent doing almost every quest, my experience of the game has totally justified the pricetag. The story, gameplay and loads of weapons and loot makes up for one of the most enjoyable games I've played this year. Picking the correct class seems very important in the game, as it might make or break your enjoyment of the gameplay. The difficulty of the start and endgame seems to vary on which class you pick, some start off with very powerful traits and some start off slow but get very powerful at the end. Now to how 'this game should've been DLC'. No, it should not have been. 20+ hours for a DLC? Are you nuts? We are then going into expansion territory, which is more or less exclusively in MMORPGs and a thing of the past. The only part that could have changed is the price tag. But the difference between Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel is enough to keep the price tag up. I have enjoyed Borderlands The Pre-Sequel more than what I have with Borderlands 2 and all its DLC. If you're judging the game due to its price, then you have nothing to say here.

Where to start off... I have spent the last 2.5 weeks playing this game SOLO (only using matchmaking and playing with randoms without having a mic) every single day, doing most bounties, getting to lvl 28, getting a bunch of exotic weapons, done everything in the game except for the raid (DeeJ, you can do everything in the game, it doesn't have endless content). In my minds it's an FPS with MMORPG elements, making it a hybrid of the two, but mostly being an FPS where you do the same stuff over and over to get better and better, where you will hopefully enjoy the game more and more as you get better at it and figuring out stuff. But after figuring out most tricks, you'll get constantly annoyed at the ridiculous AI, sudden appearance of enemies because of the absolutely terrible FOV and getting randomly killed by the classic modern way of doing position tracing, where the enemies will always hit you if you go at the same speed all the time. Even when you're doing lots of random actions which should avoid all of it. (The Shock Rifle is the dumbest weapon ever to be given to an AI) You can tip-toe through a lot of the missions by running away from the battle, into "safe-zones" while being in a "darkness zone". But then you have the absolutely horrible way of dealing with those places in the Strikes. The game spawns additional enemies to "take care of you" if you go outside of the designated room, which should be closed from the start. The best example of this not working is in the strike "The Nexus". The trick here is, you can stay up on the tall ledge and snipe all the minotaurs to spawn the boss. While doing that, a SINGLE major minotaur will spawn behind you. Which spawns every 20-30 seconds, being easy even when doing the weekly heroic strike on lvl 28 solo. Then you can just stay up there, using a scout rifle, picking up the ammo you eventually get from that minotaur and complete the strike EASILY with a lot of skulls. This also comes up in the story mission "Scourge of Winter", where you can avoid fighting the boss in the end by just simply using a few sniper bullets to the head, then walk in, which causes the door to shut, which then causes all the enemies to get killed because the boss is dead. Easy peasy. The QA of these parts feels non-existant. Speaking of the "story". As a frequent MMORPG and FPS player, I don't care about the story in those, unless there's something really interesting in a cutscene of some sort, then I'll NOT skip it. In this game, with absolutely no interesting story, no attempt at character personality development, Dinklbot saying stuff that doesn't make sense, out of context or is just a general blablabla of how every generic sci-fi story is made, I CAN'T SKIP THOSE. AT ALL. Not only did Bungie not even attempt a story, they are pushing the boring-ass cutscenes down your throat. That's unnecessary downtime. Having to wait for a useless cutscene when doing the same mission for the 3rd time the same day is not fun. Time is valuable. Now moving on to the core of the FPS. The weaponry. All the guns, make the same noise. They're all the same. They feel all the same. The stats and descriptions usually don't match the actual handling of the weapon. Which wants me on to the worst part of Destiny. Crucible. "Level advantages disabled". My ass. Not saying that the PvP is easy, but damn it's easy... IF you're owning legendary and exotic gear and weapons that supercharge the super, the weapons and everything. Why aren't those disabled? All of the perks you have, why are those enabled? Shouldn't those be classified as "level advantages" as you can't use exotic/most legendary gear before you reach lvl 20? Not like it's difficult to get to lvl 20, but it IS time consuming to get the gear. Also I want to mention the amazing PvP experience. Shoot someone until they die, but doesn't, then you trade kills even though you had a lot of health remaining, then you get the message that you got a kill 3 seconds later, then the game is stuck at respawning for 5 seconds with no explanation to why, then you see an enemy with a super, then you immediately die. That's all of the bad stuff about PvP compressed into one sentence. The amount of lag is ridiculous. Battlefield got bad lag, but this just takes the cake. Congrats Bungie, you somehow made trading kills the most common thing in this game across all games. Do people enjoy that? I really don't think so. And the expansions. No they're not expansions as they don't expand the game with entirely new areas. Ridiculous. They're just two mediocre DLC. For some praise to the game. The concept of "Destiny" is great, just poorly executed. The Exo design is quite nice. Bounties, patrol missions, public events are also great. To sum up. This entire game has been an annoyance and a continuous grind most of the time, which makes me wonder why I played it this much. (I thought of checking the box for spoilers, but how can you spoil anything in this game?)

Trials Frontier is a game where you can play it for a week and not get bored immideatly. Unfortunately, the game got an issue with quest progression when you get to the tier 3 bikes and though it may seem like coins aren't an issue in the game, they will be quickly after 2-3 weeks of playing. Gems aren't difficult to get hold of. The fortune wheel after each track can be manipulated to get gems multiple times in a row or whatever item you want. There are no issues of playing this game without paying anything, it's just that the game is littered with the option to use gems. There are a few good things about it. The hourly slot machine is a good twist to the game and gives you a good amount of stuff if you use it a few times per day. Using it more gives you better rewards but the challenges get slightly more difficult. Which is good as this game franchise is all about skill progression. ANBA is a good tool to improve your times, even though sometimes it's choosing tracks that are difficult to get a better time on. And then there's the amount of tracks in the game. Right now I have about 55 tracks unlocked and about half of the map uncovered, but then you have the issue with the fuel, so you can't play all of them frequently. Then you have the most important thing. It's Trials and it got a good physics engine, you're still controlling the rider, not the bike when leaning. You can't complain that this game 'is the same **** as everything else'. There's a lot of things that can be done better and smoother. Some of the prices for things in game and in-app purchases should be lowered, at this moment a lot of them are very high. And there are many things that needs change, but are impossible to change unless RedLynx wants to completely change the F2P model of the game. But you should definitely try this game if you haven't played Trials before (and if you have). You can play this game for a while during the initial 10 levels without having to wait for fuel and then decide if it's worth it or not.

If I could I would skip this entire expansion to get to lvl 85. There's no replay value to it, it's the most boring section of the game. I did complete the entire expansion on a single character including rebuilding Hytbold. I have 2 other characters stuck in there, because I just can't get off to levelling them. Also the "big thing" supposed to be in this was War-Steeds and mounted combat. One of the most raw and laggy features in any game ever. It's unbalanced between classes, DPS doesn't have any sort of DPS compared to other classs, and the only war-steed you'd ever choose was heavy, cause the others gave you nothing. There's nothing that has been this laggy in any game, it's completely uncontrollable if you're within a mile of an obstacle, and you'll suddenly get warped into a tiny rock you just missed 3 seconds ago. It's ridiculous they didn't scrap the netcode for this, it's completely hopeless. All these "fixes" they've promised us and are apparently "in use" have made NO difference. It's just as bad as when it released as it is now. This would also be the expansion that took me off LotRO for 8 months and making me completely uninterested in playing it ever again. HD will be the last expansion for me and I see no other than ruination of balanced gameplay in that one.

Singleplayer. What the (This could literally be the entire review of the campaign but I'm going to move on.) Not like it starts off confusing, it keeps on being confusing throughout the entire thing. It starts off in a car, with a "funny" joke. Then you go back in time where DICE thought they were "cool", 13:37, seriously DICE, be realistic for once. To compare, BF3's campaign was varied and had a lot of cool things in it, like you could be in a jet, and iirc an attack chopper, and amongst dozens of tanks. This one, nothing. You're in a tank for about 3.5 minutes and a boat for about 5 minutes. That's IT. I could compare the singleplayer to the horrible MW3 campaign and STILL the BF4 campaign would stand out as the absolutely worst. You have missions that apparently require stealth. Every time, I've just pulled out the gun and shot the crap out of the AI cause there's no obvious path to walk around them. But wait, does it have to be this difficult? Am I maybe thinking too much? Yes I am, the AI in the BF4 campaign is stupid. They have no ears, no sense of anything sneaking behind them. Then you also got your own AI, which is apparently the slowest and worst scripted AI ever. You always have to run in front of them to be able to progress while shooting. And if you do so, the scripted enemies will show up BEHIND you. They pop up like you don't have adblock or something. Other than that, the plot is confusing, seems like this one guy is the reason for all this, then stuff happens then there's no conclusion, not even a pointer for what would happen or a sequel. Wouldn't want to play this campaign at all again, the story is less than interesting and the gameplay is worse than regular CoD run and gunning. Now over to multiplayer, which apparently is the only thing this game is made to do. Hey, morons, you pay to have a singleplayer too, even if you don't play it. Could've probably saved 10 bucks on not having a singleplayer at all. The multiplayer is good enough, still not better than BF3. People are freaking about this levolution crap. It's NOT the biggest or greatest thing ever, it's just a slightly scripted event that people want to abuse so that it happens IMMIDEATLY. So you're playing most of the time in a levoluted map. Some morons would say that it's "game changing". I would just call it a minor inconvenience. There are minor improvements from BF3, like the weapons got more stuff, you can choose better between special stuff for your classes. But that doesn't matter at all, because of the one thing DICE has not a single clue in, which is the ****ing netcode. BF3 was bad, but this takes it to an entirely new level. This is also the reason I would say the full release feels more like an alpha, as the beta had extremely close to none issues with this. The servers crash left and right, now there have been a bunch of patches and STILL the servers are extremely unstable and the netcode ****s up every now and then. The hit detection is gone, there's nothing. Snipers are useless 90% of the time due to a bad netcode. DMRs are completely useless as they deal no damage at all at any range. Then you have assaults and carbines which are the only weapons that works decent, then you have LMGs which are STILL the most overpowered things about the game. When the second assault DLC comes, then guess which maps EVERYONE's gonna play. Your favourite meatgrinder maps! There's also big issues when it comes to things. Suppression is still a dumb thing and is even worse now. Defibs have to be charged up now, and WHO knows about that? About 0.1% of everyone playing. So you get revived most of the time with 20 health and die immideatly. Thanks DICE, please tell everyone before making these changes. At least the spawn protection is gone when you spawn on other players. Also, the feature I've been excited for in this game, the commander mode. Completely ruined. I'd rather go back to BF2's way of handling things you could use. They should've kept that, where you had to destroy certain things to hinder the enemy commander in using things, then you had to use engineers to get them back up. And now you have to hold points to be able to use things? Like, it's the opposite of what it should've been. This doesn't balance it out, it's more like whoever gets first to the objective is the winner if both commanders are in play. If the enemy got all the points, what the hell are you supposed to use? You have absolutely nothing to help out with, and the enemy got EVERYTHING in the world. This is what I've gotten from just looking at gameplay. Unbalanced ridiculousness. Tl;dr, one of the worst and least fun singleplayer campaigns ever (I do enjoy a good singleplayer experience), a mediocre multiplayer mode which doesn't improve anything from the previous game, a spoiled return of commander mode and an extremely buggy and laggy game overall.

First impressions. The singleplayer was varied, quite fast paced, unrealistic and "arcadey". More stealth than in MW3, which is good, because running and gunning is not fun (looking at you BF4 and MW3). The plot is confusing at first, but sort of makes sense after some mission. Although the space combat makes NO sense, although, it's in space, so that doesn't matter. FIIIIIIIIISH are there, they move about. Sharks eat you, beware, they don't move away. You're in a attack chopper once, which gives out lots of explosions and stuff. You're also a dog sometimes, but really not that much, doesn't matter. The ending is weird, confusing, wat. Hey, lets not forget, they should've EASILY seen him or even heard him. Overall thoughts of singleplayer; Over average CoD style. Lets not forget the other stuff as well. Extinction is quite fun and can be expanded a bit if they want to. Other than that it's more or less taken inspirations from almost everything. The challenges you get are solid and not exactly easy from what I've seen. The artstyle of the aliens is surprisingly good, unexpected by someone that has copied and pasted stuff for the last 6 years. Credit to IW for that, unless that's also copied, then credit to those who made it originally. The mode becomes chaotic on singleplayer and I assume it becomes a lot better co-op. At least, it's a new fresh thing and will hopefully not be cursed by the easter egg thing that has zombies up completely. Now to multiplayer. You get your 5 soldiers off the start, they don't cost that much, then you could spend a lot of time on the others. The new unlock system is nice, it removes the need of being at a specific level (but still requires you to play to unlock stuff). The operations is also a nice twist to the regular challenges from the last 6 or so games. I would still wish that you could unlock attachments and weapons and other stuff by using the specific weapon, instead of being forced to use the squad points. The customization of soldiers is all a waste of time, because REMEMBER WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SEE WHEN PLAYING. Yes, you remembered it, only your arms, not even your legs. The only "major" difference is you can be a fake or a real Which would make a minor difference in shoutouts and stuff. Now over to gameplay. Since this is PC we're talking about, we also have to talk about PC related issues. As everyone knows, their engine is pretty much based on the terrible IW5 engine. Should've been based on the lovely IW4 engine, which actually worked properly. And with the IW5 engine comes IW5 related issues, at least for me and probably a few others. Being picky on this kind of stuff so "bear" with me. The difference between 50FPS and 90FPS is close to none. 1% of the time you actually have a smooth running game, but the rest of it, it will just have laggy animations. No matter what FPS, resolution or other settings. Needs some quick and good optimization, BO2 didn't need any extra optimization when it launched. Mouse stutter/jumping/lag is still a major issue every 10 seconds or so. The netcode seems to be affecting the FPS a lot more than what it did, which is not good. Away from PC related issues over to gameplay related issues. The maps are terrible, overly complex. You can get killed from any direction at any point in every map. There's no linear way of playing the maps. Feels also like every time I run/walk around, I either get killed from behind or the 2 other directions that I can't keep control over at the same time, or I run into some enemy 5 feet away from me, which results in whoever got the better ping or the most FPS or the least stutter lag, gets the kill. The sniper "multilayered" scope would actually be nice if it actually did a smooth transition every time, or that it didn't half my FPS every time I used it. They've realized that the crosshair on a sniper is useless, so they've removed it, which seems to have revoked my horrible skills at quickscoping, but if someone puts the crosshair back in some or other way, it's actually worse than before. The snipers are ridiculously powerful and accurate. All the guns seems balanced enough, or rather, overpowered enough, haven't seen anything ridiculously overpowered yet, other than the snipers. Also, when you kill someone or you get killed, you won't get the playercard popping up, which is annoying because i want to clearly see who i killed or who killed you. You have to wait for the killcam, which I always skip. Tl;dr, good singleplayer game, not a good multiplayer game, really laggy, lots of reoccurring issues from MW3, a game that had big potential to compete with MW2.

I have played Gold, Ruby, Platinum, HeartGold and Black before, and to compare, this game got replay value. Lots of it. If you're ever going to play it, do it now while the Pokemon Global Link is supporting the game. Yes, the Pokemon Dream World is quite childish, but if you just ignore that, you have LOTS of available pokemon, without even trading. Probably the most of any game in the series. When you get through the game, Join Avenue is probably the best thing that has happened to the game. The grind to hatch eggs, happiness, EVs and levels are probably the reasons why most people won't bother trying to get the perfect pokemon. Getting money isn't difficult at all, as you can trade (easily with other players) and plant ultra rare berries in the Dream World, and earn about 600K per day when you get your first stack. Not even that, you can use Join Avenue to get lots of money with the treasure shop. But enough about that. When you get through the game, you can unlock different modes, which differs from Black 2 and White 2, Easy and Challenge mode in addition to the normal game. Black 2 got Challenge mode, which is probably the only thing you want, as most people would like the game to be a tiny bit more challenging. Yes, Black 2 is the easiest game in the series. Easily. But, it's better that it's too easy, than too difficult, as there are lots of rules you can set in your mind to make it challenging. So it's just good that the game becomes easy for the casual players, but can still be challenging for the veterans. And the 5th gen got the best legendaries since 2nd gen. To end, this is by far the best pokemon game in terms of gameplay. Though I hate those foongus...
