Northgard8
May 26, 2021
Northgard is an exceptionally good game whose support has still not ended. The creators respond to the needs of players on an ongoing basis by adding new clans or cosmetic options. The gameplay is straightforward, but each clan requires a different approach. Sometimes these differences are bigger, sometimes smaller. Certainly, thanks to the numerous game modes and the campaign, we can ensure the game for many dozen hours. (It should be added that the game has a very atmospheric soundtrack, although for some it is too calm.)

As a Titan Quest fan, I couldn't pass by this title indifferently. So far, I am very happy with the purchase (after playing 2 hours I bought the add-on right away) and you can see that the statement that "TQ was taken and made an even better game with new mechanics" is absolutely true. The game encourages exploration due to the many hidden places. At the same time, it is less linear than Titan Quest. The very familiar character development system has been pleasantly spiced up with constellations, which together with the addition have a strong influence on the character and it is worth stopping there a bit and rethinking the development of our constellation. Personally, I am very pleased with the illusions of equipment that allow you to change the appearance of items to others that have already been met. This way, we don't have to worry anymore about having to throw away the old wide-brimmed hat because we've found some weird wreath that doesn't match the look. A few moments and a handful of coins and the look was changed. The world is interestingly constructed, and the plot is so good that you want to read the notes you find. And just for reading notes is also exp. The last (but not the only) thing worth paying attention to for a moment is the faction system that determines relationships with groups. Technically, it is based on completing tasks to be able to perform new, more interesting ones, and access to better equipment at the factional merchant. The counter works the opposite for monsters. Depending on the group, they don't like us more and more, for which we get the possibility of additional rebirths (in the case of a special difficulty mode where we only have one life). I recommend hack'n'slash fans, hat, revolvers, occultism and a good soundtrack.

Shadowrun Returns3
May 26, 2021
I played for 5 hours and I'm not going to do more. I have never seen such a disastrous shift from an RPG to a form of digital entertainment. Graphics and a wealth of elements in locations are on the plus side, but what do we need if our exploration possibilities are terribly limited to visiting a specific place related to the task or talking only to people related to the quest? As I know Shadowrun mainly from a paper form, I regretted the extremely simplified inventory management or the boring character development system that did not give a better perspective. Defining character stats using ONE dress slot is probably a misunderstanding. If you think that straight from the classic RPG you will be assembling sets of suits, goggles or other shoulder drone controllers, you will not find it in the slightest extent. Please - here's the whole thing in one box, in which you put the full set at once. It is more like a set of skins with small bonuses to stats or abilities. The interface is transparent and the fight could look interesting if it wasn't for the monotony of their course (at least for now). For many, communication can be a big problem. Well, the game is surrounded by slang, neologisms or futuristic colloquial phrases, which means that instead of feeling into the atmosphere, we wonder what the sentence uttered by the NPC means. But it often doesn't matter, because our character's reactions rarely differ in message. The only exceptions are statements related to the level of statistics or abilities, but at the beginning of the game there are very few of them and usually we can only watch what we do not say, because our level is too low anyway. In general, the game, although boisterously welcomed once as Shadowrun's return to the digital world, in my eyes only ridiculed the interesting universe.

Book of Demons5
May 26, 2021
This is not a bad game, but insanely monotonous and painfully repetitive. Unfortunately, the difficulty level does not increase, and each development of our cards, although initially sensible, ultimately comes down to the same. The leveling system for our character is limited only to increasing the pool of health or mana points, and this is a bit weak considering that the creators want to refer to the old hack'n'slash as the first version of Diablo. Besides, the choice is important only at the moment of the choice itself, because then we can add a point that we did not need for the money. Graphically it looks nice, but just like the gameplay itself - it is monotonous. Another thing that is a bit annoying is the fact that the archer can cast spells more often than any mage, just because one of the basic items she can find is an amulet that allows passive mana regeneration. You can have fun, if you are not afraid of monotony and low difficulty level, but it's better to wait for promotions, because for this price you will only be disappointed.

Titan Quest: Ragnarok7
May 26, 2021
The expansion pack is quite an event after so many years, especially since fans of Titan Quest (just like any other game) will have high expectations. I appreciate this add-on from the perspective of both the multiple passes of the base with Immortal Throne in the pre-Steam era, as well as playing the Anniversary version on Steam. How does it go? Good, but unevenly. As it is easy to get lost in complicated statements, I will write it broken down into pros and cons: PROS 1. A new Mastery that is interesting and non-linear. It strongly resembles the "revolutionary" approach of adding the Immortal Throne Dream Championship. Runes not only relate well to the plot of the add-on, but are also ideal for combining with what they can be combined with, what synergies will be created, etc. 2. Soundtrack. Starting from the main menu, we are accompanied by great music. The best of all acts, in my opinion. 3. A throwing weapon that is ideal not only for Rogue but also for other, less subtle classes. 4. Improvements to some elements of the game mechanics. Automatic merging of relic fragments when sorting in a backpack or a separate tab for them and artifacts at the cavalryman. 5. Locations. Although some of them seem not very original, in the case of Ragnarok it was possible to create more "real" settlements. The places we visit look more natural, although it sometimes means a bit of a jumbled road system. CONS 1. Quests. This one is very serious and has two faces. On the one hand, we constantly come across buggy tasks. Once, the option to talk to the character will not appear, other times an item will not fall out of the quest, it happens that one quest "eats" an item from another. Overall poor, and I've been writing this a long time since the expansion pack came out, and I'm still encountering the same issues. The other side of the coin is the construction of side quests - in some cases only outside help will allow you to complete such a quest. There is an item related to the task that we do not have, and the very description of the task that appears does not say anything about the way of its finalization. Other times, we have to absolutely guess what the author meant, because the items seem (and are) related in a non-intuitive way. 2. Performance problems. Sometimes the game has had unjustified strong drops in FPS since the beginning of Act 5. 3. The plot. While it's not such an important hack'n'slash element as TQ was, it's better that the whole of our beating monsters makes sense. Here, practically the trailer spoils the "plot twist". Still, the DLC is very good. You have to get over or skip bizarre quests. Sometimes a reboot will be needed due to a bug, but there are still more pluses. If there was an option other than "recommend" not "recommend" it would be much easier to rate games or add-ons like this one.

Titan Quest: Atlantis4
May 26, 2021
When Ragnarok came out, there were concerns about how underdeveloped (in terms of bugs, mostly quest-related) the expansion pack is. But that's nothing compared to Atlantis. First of all, I do not find any major advantages of the add-on yet, it costs as much as the full add-on, and offers such mediocre content that it's a pity that it meets such a great title as Titan Quest. The expansion pack is embedded in an opponent's level cap, which is too low for most even after completing Act IV. Atlantis is supposed to be something between Act IV and V in theory, but it doesn't present a challenge unless we start it right after killing Typhon. It's good that there are new opponents, not refreshed antiques, but I have some deja vu to Grim Dawn. And another "novelty", that is the Tartarus mode, is a complete rewrite of the mode added in the "Forgotten Gods" expansion to Grim Dawna. At the same time, this one often bugs and can be terribly lagged. We don't even get a new Championship like Immortal Throne or Ragnarok did, but new skills for the old ones, which are at best moderately interesting and usually simply unnecessary. The locations are nice, especially thanks to the alleged graphical improvements, but in practice they are difficult to enjoy if the game is constantly having problems with frame stability and other changes resulting from these "improvements". As in Ragnarok there were problems with optimization, here it is in a dire state. The only thing that has made a relatively good deal is the dealer-dealer who sells random loot, which is the only way to get rid of the millions of gold we accumulate for no matter what. Still, I would prefer (since they are already copying ideas from Grim Dawn in a clumsy way) to introduce an illusionist who would change the look of our inventory ... The game was released last May (2019) and so far nothing has changed. The released add-ons are in a deteriorating condition and unfortunately the fears after the problems with Ragnarok have been confirmed. At this pace and with such a tendency, the next addition will cost PLN 80 and (apart from the background in the menu) will add an "act" for half an hour of the game, which will be impossible to complete due to bugs and technical problems.

Warhammer: Chaosbane1
May 26, 2021
Let's start with the fact that with competitors like Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Van Helsing, Diablo or even Torchlights on the side, you can see what attracts players in them, which means that without blinking an eye we will spend the next 20 hours looking for a specific helmet for the set. Chaosbane collapses all over the line here, and I've tried to give it a go and not leave a negative review after the first hour. Mechanically it is quite bland, I was quickly forced to switch to the controller instead of the mouse, due to the nightmarish aiming of a ranged character. It was fine if 50% of the shells were hitting. This also immediately leads to the first thing that put me off as soon as I realized how this game was going to take care of character development. Not counting a special tree, which gives almost only bonuses like "+ 4% damage in elite" and about 5 skills (I counted 3 active and 2 passive), we have a solution that takes away the pleasure typical for the genre from building a build, replacing it with a nightmare substitute. Well, by increasing the level, we get a new active or passive skill (or an improvement of the old one) automatically, the player has no influence on what develops, so we can usually spend waiting, for example, 5 lvl (as was my case) to finally get an upgrade, which we cared about. We can only choose what our hero can currently have, but we have a moronic obstacle in the form of a pool of points that we cannot exceed. It comes down to the fact that, for example, we have a limit of 30 points, and skills (both active and passive) initially cost us from 5 to 15 of these points. Of course, the basic attack costs 0 points, but its upgraded version normally has a higher value assigned to it. At the same time, skill upgrades (which we do not control) are often worse than the lower-level versions (sic!). An example would be the wizard's basic missiles, which on the second level can set fire to the ground under the feet of enemies and deal additional damage in the fight against hordes of enemies, but the top-of-the-range version takes this ability away from us in favor of turning the projectile into a short-range shotgun-style attack. And here it is also worth saying that I chose the character of a wizard - typically for the first fire in such games in my case. Imagine my surprise when it turns out that the game doesn't quite know what to do with it. We have a not very sensible combination of skills over a very short distance, while at the same time awarding mobility (which is typical in this genre), but it does not prevent the tone of passive spells that make us stand still, which is supposed to match those long-distance spells, which in turn, etc. And there is no escape from this, because the game is pushing our throats into skills with a new level that we would not take in a normal hack'n'slash. Another thing is the equipment. Here I will partially touch on the WH issues, because it's really nice that it refers to such elements. We have a wizard's outfit with the symbolism of Nagarythe or Caledor. BUT the game in return for completing a given "theme" gives you a big middle finger in the form of a pathetic bonus, which in no way compensates us for rejecting an eq that does not match the "set". On the plus side, however, the illusion system is available almost from the beginning of the game, so there is no problem to artificially adjust the appearance of items. The problem is that there are pathetically few such designs, maybe it reaches 30, including some unique and collector's versions (?). But here's another thing - the game is simply empty in activities. The only thing (after 5 hours) is practically a storage box, a guy to donate excess items to the skin collection and start new missions. After all this time it is sad that we are still collecting some shards or golden crowns, but the game does not offer any option to spend them yet. Except for a rebirth after death that happened to me once for a test what happens in this situation. And here's another thing - the game is very simple. Immediately I had to raise the difficulty to high to feel like normal in Grim Dawnie, and it was pretty casual anyway. It doesn't have to be a flaw, but ... …There is simply nothing in the game but a grind in clumsy locations. Hordes of enemies are attacking us in amounts not very adequate for the sense of the campaign's events, or at least for people who embrace any of the WH lore. In Nuln, we most often see city sewers that have decorations as if they were a dwarven karak, and there are Nurgle cultists sitting there, who apparently also like the Horned Rat, because often the decorations are simply Skaven. However boring gameplay, you can try to save with a coop, although I don't know why walking through straight corridors would benefit from it. The plot is not very close - making Teclis a handicapped idiot, ungor as a cult commander in the middle of the city, etc.

A great croissant in three dimensions. Highly replayable due to the many characters with different playstyles and thanks to the challenges that the player can set before himself to unlock a new item or an alternative ability for the character as a reward (apart from the achievement). There are also many secrets (including hidden locations) in the game, which are quite a challenge to find. The title is definitely worth recommending, especially after the release of version 1.0, where we already have the final boss added. The only downside that I could point out is the small amount of tracks for the soundtrack.

Honestly, the game let me down terribly. Promoted to the mechanics of making difficult decisions in the face of problems related to building management in a totalitarian regime ... And in my opinion, the puzzle game came out - the dilemmas were often limited to two goals A) CORRECT B) INCORRECT choice. I didn't feel at all that these decisions were difficult because they often ended in the death of the main character or there was no other way out other than the one specific one planned in advance by the developers. Someone needs X, and the other person can handle it once we get Y, and that just happens to be wonderful in another character's locker. The best part of the game was writing reports. Though it hurt how few characters could be encountered on the way.

Exit the Gungeon2
May 26, 2021
I have been following this title from the moment the first mentions of the continuation of one of the best bullet hell croissants appeared. I didn't really like the changes to virtually every aspect of the game, but well, I wanted to give it a shot. Seeing how strongly it was focused on mobile ports, I had little hope for another great title, but I wanted to give it a chance. Seeing the next update, I wanted to give it a shot. I gave that chance and was terribly disappointed. The feeling of the weapon is tragic, we often do not know where our character is, the dodging system makes it hit e.g. lower than planned. The very assumption of playing in 2D is not bad, if only by adding "weight" of bullets to some weapons, but ... weapons ... The mechanics of combos and random equipment are such a fun killer that I was shocked. This effect in Enter the Gungeon was something cool, but triggered separately. Here it turns out to be simply tiring. Even without losing the combo, we can suddenly get a crap, the usefulness of which oscillates around zero. The game doesn't even have the effect of "take it and learn it, it will get better and better later". For me, every minute was wasted, it was a torment. I strongly advise against this title, especially to Enter the Gungeon fans, because it is not a continuation of the brilliant title, it's crap.

The best 2k20 premiere by far. I usually write in reviews, but in this case it would not make sense - although I would try very hard, I do not find any flaws in this game. Someone might say that they don't like the graphic style, but it's a matter of taste; for me it's brilliant. It's the kind of perfect croissant where we already think we've done everything, and then suddenly another set of items to unlock and unfold appears around the corner.

May 26, 2021
I played a demo for a few hours, which allowed for a lot of progress and still knew what product I was buying. The game is very simple at first glance - we walk in a loop, collect equipment, fight automatic battles. However, each opportunity to develop a settlement / camp allows you to discover new mechanics, including cards with which we "rebuild" the destroyed world. And here are some nice surprises as the game offers many hidden synergies between them. Putting many rocks and mountains next to each other creates a Great Mountain, the Vampire Manor turns Villages into ghouls' spawns, which can become Towns after a while, if we survive some loops, etc. It could be cheaper, but it seems to offer enough entertainment (and that is before I unlocked the second character class) to pay off in getting it during the promotion. A big surprise at the beginning of March, definitely positive.

Monster Train9
May 26, 2021
I watched the game for a long time before buying it and saw its potential. Currently, it may not have a lot of possibilities, but as I mentioned - it has the potential for much more. In my opinion, it is more fun to play than Slay the Spire, if only because of a more thoughtful system of improving cards (because we decide ourselves how we improve our creatures and spells) and the requirement of more frequent combinatorics. For me, an advantage (though probably not everyone likes it that much) is the lack of annoying RNG, which will quickly destroy our approach. We also have interesting multi modes and interestingly designed daily challenges. The soundtrack is also very nice. Of course, as in any game of this type, we would like there to be even more cards, artifacts, enemies, etc. This is also the case, but I don't think the game will stop as it is. In addition, I hope that in the future the creators will develop their game, which at the time of release seems to offer more than Slay the Spire after adding (years later) the fourth character. After time, you can see the game is developing - there are new leaders, bosses and mutators of the game. Keep it up!

May 26, 2021
If you want to play as elves or skaven, and you don't pay too much attention to lore etc. this is a very good title. Unfortunately, like all Total War games, he suffers from some ills, adding his own. In its current state, with all (except the last) DLC and FLC, it provides fun for tens of hours. The following rating is based on the complete title with all available content: + Number of playable lords + Mechanics of some factions + Graphics and audio + Wood Elven Re-balance + Quantity and visual aspect of the Tradition of Magic + Mortal Empire campaign + MODS (SFO especially) - Lords are not as interesting or even playable - Mortal Empire campaign is not a "linked map", to fit the map from one, large areas of the map have been cut out of two (in the south and west) - The game has an undead pirate faction, but still no naval battles - Some campaigns are stupid to win conditions or require defeating factions on the other side of the map - Buggy achievements - PRICE

Dungeons 38
May 26, 2021
The third installment of Dungeons seems to me to be a continuation of the best elements of its predecessor, although it introduces several novelties. More traps, the main anti-heroine theme, more complex mechanics for building and settling the dungeon. Certainly, the campaign seems much more pleasant to me, the missions are less straightforward, and in addition, each of them offers two additional challenges (achievements). Add-ons are also more "fair" by adding new campaigns, and not, as in the case of Dungeons 2, adding cut-out segments (like the undead). Here we have the whole "tree" in the stand itself. Again, an indispensable teacher, although the Polish version should be given to the disadvantage, because the subtitles seem to be translated very unskillfully and definitely without the atmosphere of the original in English. I definitely recommend it to fans of the series, but also to new people who have nothing to do with the series. They don't need the knowledge of their predecessors, and the difficulty level seems to leave some room for error.

The worst part for many reasons. A lot of unnecessary elements, forced graphic style that does not suit this game, simplicity so great that you do not feel a single challenge. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. "Open" zones only pretend to be such, they are just nicely enclosed linear paths that are no different from any other installment of the series. The new creatures are mostly dull and expressionless, and I have never encountered the fact that I didn't feel like using new Pokémon. The starters themselves are so boring that I almost randomly chose which one to choose.

The game has nice graphics that harmonize very well with the style of the presented world. The music is selected in such a way that we can feel the atmosphere of abandoned spaceships, emptiness and hopelessness. The gameplay is not absolutely innovative, it draws on already known solutions, but the system of character and equipment improvement adds a lot of freshness. For me, a big plus are actions depending on the cards, not the location of the character.

The game itself provides entertainment at a level sufficient for satisfaction. BUT it is quickly bored. I completely ignore graphics here, because in this genre it does not matter. However, after a few hours of playing, you can see considerable repetition. I was struck by the schematic and the lack of real experimentation. We currently have four characters, each closed in their own style. Although the gameplay itself is demanding, it does not encourage continuous new approaches. Especially since the game offers very little unlockable content.
