Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing7
Jun 30, 2023
This game is not and I mean not terrible, sure it has some issues (a lot actually) but should we hate on this poor fellow? No!. Sure by gaming standards this should get a 4/10 or lower but by fun standards this game is great, games are supposed to be fun aren't they? Its about how much fun the game actually is, it's not the quality. Just look at all those people giving Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing 10/10's! I bet all those people were having a blast, admiring the game by how fun it is than just pointing out the flaws. Wouldn't be fun to be driving all over the place, going through everything which goes in your way? I would!. And are you sick of losing your ass off on those other piece of **** racing games? well in Big Rigs you are always the winner! so you don't have to cry your ass off whenever you lose! how awesome is that? - Review done on May 27, 2015

The Last of Us Part II7
Jun 25, 2022
The Last of Us: Part II has some very smooth satisfying gameplay, excellent sound design, attention to detail, detailed gory violence, and some great art direction. The story however, really weighs it down. It feels genuinely pretentious at points. It insists it's profound and compelling but the average gamer can see right through it. 7/10 only for the gameplay, graphics, and art direction which far exceeds most games out there. This game overall is seriously wasted potential! Despite its great elements.

The predecessor to the superior Red Dead Redemption. This game has aged badly, but still is pretty fun and decently well done. Not worth going out of your way to play, but interesting to play if you are a fan of RDR, or it's recently released sequel.

Alien Swarm (2010)7
Apr 28, 2018
This game first caught my interest when I found out one of the devs of Narbacular Drop, the spiritual predecessor to the Portal franchise, worked on this game. So I looked into it. Basically, this game is Left 4 Dead except top-down, and has solid graphics thanks to Valve's Source engine. It's a good amount of fun, and is just as polished and well done as Valve's previous games. It doesn't have an investing story or complex alternate approaches for every match like BF does, but it's still well done, polished, and fun. Give Alien Swarm a shot.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark4
Apr 22, 2018
This game is a below average effort. All the issues from the DOTM tie in game have been carried into this one only with a fresh 2014 coat of paint. The story is a confused, convoluted mess that only the developers would appreciate. The visuals aren't terrible, i'll admit, but they are still underwhelming. Also, this game features some of the most extensive and aggressive stealing of assets from a game I've ever seen, having heaps of audio lines and animations ripped straight from Fall of Cybertron, with zero changes. Very lazy, guys. Don't buy this game, or rent it, or get it for free. It's not worth a minute of your time.

Deadpool6
Apr 22, 2018
Impressed with High Moon's resounding success with Fall of Cybertron in 2012, Activi$ion gave the team the job to create one of the first Deadpool videogames. Did the devs hit it out of the park two years in a row? No. While the character of Deadpool and his humour is executed very well, the actual meat of the game misfired quite badly. The level design is quite poor, the combat gets very repetitive over time, and the visuals don't hold up very well. The story itself doesn't save the game either. It's very forgettable, bland, and never attempts to be clever or compelling, which is a damn shame. The game isn't bad by any means, however. And is worth a rental or a cheap purchase just to play once. But I wouldn't pay more than $15 for this game.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron8
Apr 22, 2018
This game is great. Hands down the best videogame Transformers experience to date. Awesome visuals, smooth gunplay, responsive controls, investing story, and tight level design. Pity the Cybertron series spiraled downhill after it's definitive peak at this game. If you love Transformers, or if you love a well done game in general, give this game a shot.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon5
Apr 22, 2018
The best way to describe this game is: a watered down version of War for Cybertron, a much better game. The gameplay is identical to that game, except has some annoying handling issues. The level design is poor, the visuals are dull, and the story is weak and forgettable. The game also feels very rushed. So don't buy this game. The gameplay is the best part, but it doesn't save this average product in the slightest. Get War For Cybertron or the even better Fall of Cybertron instead.

Transformers: War for Cybertron7
Apr 21, 2018
While this game has a decent amount of issues, it's one of the first genuinely good Transformers games ever developed, if not the first. Nice visuals, decent gameplay, good voice acting and an interesting story. If you love the Transformers license, or just enjoy a decent sci fi game, pick this game up. But if you are low on money or want something better than this, get Fall of Cybertron as it's a big improvement over this game.

This game isn't a massive graphical improvement from the original GoldSrc game, but it's a decent improvement, with much better skyboxes and some other graphical improvements. A Way Out8
Mar 29, 2018
Ever since I finished the awesome game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons last year, I was really looking forward to what Josef Fares and his core team that were behind Brothers would do next. And 5 years after Brothers, A Way Out hits the shelves. This game is very original, just like Brothers, delivering a coop only experience, but this experience is very good, as it forces very enjoyable and satisfying cooperation. The characters are also very relatable, and the visuals are very nice. This game also thankfully does not include EA's terrible lootbox and microtransaction systems that have been present in most of their games recently. But this game does have one main issue: the random side activities you can do are not very enjoyable, and the gunplay controls are quite stiff and annoying to control. This is because Josef and his team are obviously not used to gunplay design and need more practice in designing this. However, since this game's published by EA, do not buy it a full price. We need to continually put the pressure on EA to get their act together, and by buying their games for less money, we can do that. Overall, though, A Way Out is a great game and a very enjoyable coop experience. i just wouldn't recommend you buy it at full price.

Terrible game. After an amazing trailer, multiplayer delays, and a decent amount of hype, Hunt Down The Freeman is an awful experience. This is bad even by modding standards. Stolen assets, bad voice acting, bad pronunciation, embarrassing glitches, and terrible graphics. Hunt Down the Refund, indeed. Hopefully Royal Rudius can get back on their feet and make something good next time. Don't give up, guys. You messed up terribly, but if you learn from your mistakes and put some effort in, you could make a major comeback.

Overwatch was the massive multiplayer game from Blizzard that took the gaming community by storm. Risen from the ashes of the failed Project Titan, the new Overwatch team picked up the pieces of Titan and used those to craft this awesome multiplayer experience. It's balanced, has a great artstyle and nice graphics, and most importantly, is a lot of fun. My only issue for this game is the unacceptable lootbox system, most likely courtesy of Activi$ion, the unfortunate parent company of Blizzard. Overall, though, Overwatch is a great multiplayer experience and one of the best games of 2016. Hopefully the Overwatch team fixes the issues that Titan had, and ships it this time. Or at least release a compiled playable version.

Metal Gear Survive7
Feb 22, 2018
Well, the very first Metal Gear game in a non-Kojima world. I think that at least half the team behind MGSV worked on Survive, so this game isn't terrible. Also note that this game takes heaps of elements from MGSV, so don't expect it to be a brand new experience. The gameplay is decent, the graphics are pretty good, and the stealth is ok. The main issue with Metal Gear: Survive is that it doesn't follow any of the stealth-espionage or story standards set by previous Metal Gear games. However, what we get here is decent enough. Rent it, or buy it cheap (5$ max) but this game is not worth going out of your way to play. Decent game, poor Metal Gear game.

Shadow of the Colossus9
Feb 11, 2018
Team Ico is slowly making a comeback into the industry. First with the epic Last Guardian in 2016, and now with this beautiful remaster of the masterpiece Shadow of the Colossus. This is a great deal. The graphics have received a very strong buff both from the PS2 and PS3 versions. And the core experience has barely been changed, though Bluepoint should've fixed some issues the game had, and still has. But overall, this is an awesome experience, whether you are a massive fan of this game, or have never even heard of it until now.

Jan 24, 2018
NieR is a great experience. The story, music and characters are all spectacular. However, the graphics and visuals are not very good. Another issue is that the main character is very bland and doesn't have much of an interesting personality. However, this game is a great way to get a solid introduction to the story of NieR: Automata, and is worth playing even if that game didn't exist. Hopefully Square remasters this forgotten gem so fans of the established NieR: Automata can give this game a shot.

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast7
Jan 23, 2018
So, Lost Coast is basically a planned then scrapped level of Half Life 2 that Valve decided to release for free anyway to showcase some of the stuff they can do with their Source engine. It is actually the first Valve game to utilize developer commentary, a feature Valve would use for (this is to my knowledge) Episode One, Episode Two, Portal 1, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2. So, this just shows how much success you can have if you experiment with new things. The game itself isn't that good, though. You're done in about 5-10 minutes and there is barely any replay value. However, this is balanced out by Lost Coast being a free game, but still. Kinda dampens the experience. Overall, Half Life 2: Lost Coast is a decent experience that you should only buy for free.

Jan 18, 2018
LA Noire is a great game. The graphics are solid, the facial animation is very well done, and the gameplay overall is very playable and solid. And now Rockstar has "remastered" this game to current gen. However, this "remaster" is just a blatant port. Aside from the 5 new PSVR missions, this version of LA Noire is identical to the last gen versions. Which is disappointing. However, if you never played the game before, or want to revisit this investing experience, this PS4 version is very competent.

Half-Life 27
Jan 11, 2018
Half-Life 2 disappointed me. Some sections of investment, or suspense, or fun. But these are outweighed by other sections of frustration or boredom, and commonly both. Breen is not a good villain. He seems boring and is not intimidating or clever, and does not say any memorable lines or speeches. The characters, voice acting, and gunplay is good, but they are bogged down by my other complaints in this game. If you like it, fine, but I don't. And that was why.

Jan 10, 2018
From 343i and Creative Assembly, the talented team behind Alien: Isolation and Total War comes the hotly anticipated Halo Wars 2. This game is definitely good, and will be enjoyed by fans of the original 2009 game, and probably Total War fans too. But it is definitely lacking in the story department. The original game had a much better plot, and it ascends what he get here, which is average, serviceable garbage. The game-play itself has dipped a bit compared to HW1. Overall, Halo Wars 2 is a good game, but the original Halo Wars is much better.

Bridge Constructor Portal7
Dec 20, 2017
Okay, so, a new game in the Portal universe. I'm glad that we got this rather than nothing. As we know that Portal 3 doesn't need to and will never be released or developed. But is this game good? Well, it's decent. It's visuals are nice, Ellen Mclain's voice is great, and the way the puzzles slowly pack on the difficulty is great. However, the soundtrack is quite poor, which is sad because the Portal games have had some great tracks over the years. The only interesting track is the main menu one. Also, the plot may not be intended to be taken seriously, but I will still say that the plot of this game kinda feels like a disorganized mess, when this could've very easily been avoided. That's what annoys me. So, you have humans running the place, but GLaDOS is too? Just doesn't add up, and it could've easily been avoided too. Also, the way the game melds the portals, turrets, and faith plates into the game is very solid, and the game does feel like a classic Portal puzzle experience at it's core. Overall, Bridge Constructor: Portal is a decent game that I would recommend to Bridge Constructor fans, Portal fans, and simply puzzle game fans. I wouldn't buy this for more than 10$.

No Man's Sky6
Nov 26, 2017
No Man's Sky is the first current gen game from Hello Games, the developers of the less known Joe Danger games. I have never played these, so this game was my very first experience from this team. It was a poor experience. Let's just start with what the game does right. The soundtrack is great, it does a great job of setting the tone and atmosphere of this experience. The art style is very good, too. Very nice visuals. And the sense of scale is great too. The planets are massive, the landscapes are very sweeping and lengthy. But this game does a lot more things wrong. The planets all look exactly the same, you do exactly the same things on every damn planet, and last but not least, the 'center of the universe' is very poorly executed. When you tap the button to go there, the center just teleports even further away. And if you follow it, the center just constantly escapes your grasp every damn time. This stuff is completely stupid and illogical. With multiple delays, huge anticipation, and a full 60$ price at launch, No Man's Sky feels like an unfinished, poorly built tech demo. This game would be a 5 but the developers have added some helpful updates, the music is great, the art style is awesome, and the sense of scale is perfectly executed. I say this a lot lately, but don't get this game for above 15$.

Star Wars Battlefront II6
Nov 25, 2017
You know, the team behind this game was not untalented. The lead designer of the excellent Portal worked on this game, the developers behind the massively successful Battlefield franchise helped build this game too. But, this game feels way to similar to the first Battlefront 2 years ago. The loot boxes are horrible, the campaign is bland, the multiplayer is decent, but not good enough. The graphics and gunplay are both great, but just those two things don't make for a great game. Don't bother with Battlefront II. There are plenty of other far superior FPS experiences out there right now.

4 years old, still one of the most popular games on Steam. Dota 2 is a great fleshing out of the original Dota mod of Warcraft 3. Designed by the same guy behind the first game, and has Valve's support to release a polished, professional game to the masses, Dota 2 is a great game. My only issue is that it doesn't seem like Valve did much to help build this game aside from publishing it. This is still a great MOBA and a worthy successor to Dota 1. I wish they had followed up this game better, with a Dota 3 perhaps. But Artifact is a terrible idea, and no one asked for it either.

Bulletstorm was one of the funnest games of 2011, alongside Gears 3. And it's great that the magic of the original game was translated over to this remaster. And the lighting and visuals has been buffed heavily, making this feel quite different to it's 2011 predecessor. However, there is not quite enough new content to warrant returning players to but this at full price. For veterans, 25$ would be the max price. But for newbies, full price is very fair.

Gears of War 4 is the first installment in the Gears franchise to not be built by Epic Games. This was a concern for many fans, but Coalition has done an impressive job in giving us Gears 4. The graphics are very nice, the gunplay is slick and tight, and the multiplayer and horde modes are still very good. However, the iffy decision of terrible micro transactions and the dull singleplayer weigh this game down from being a strong successor to Gears 3. This game still grabs an 8, and should be played by veterans and new players at least once.

Call of Duty: WWII7
Nov 7, 2017
Another year, another Call of Duty game. First off, the engine still needs to be rebuilt completely or shot on the spot, ok? Still using the Quake engine from 99? Really? The art team did a good job though. The gameplay still feels the same as it did ten years ago in Call of Duty 4, despite the massive change in setting. The campaign is quite good, quite lengthy as well. Better than Infinite Borefare and BO3's overly complicated plot. It's just a slimmed down, grounded war experience, and that I like. The multiplayer is mostly a very samey Call of Duty multiplayer experience that we have gotten since Modern Warfare, aside from the great new War mode, which is a fantastic addition. But it unfortunately doesn't quite save the multiplayer mode. Zombies. Sledgehammer's last crack at Zombies in AW only proved that only Treyarch could nail it correctly, so I was hoping they could save face here. I like how the mode feels like it's own beast and not a clone of BO3 zombies. The tone is very serious and mature, and that ascends the overly humorous tone of IW's zombies, which is great too. The gunplay itself is quite good, and I liked how the team opted for a proper campaign with horde sections, rather than repeating Treyarch's zombies mode. To be honest, the zombies is probably the best part of World War II. This game is definitely better than Destiny 2, and takes some strong strides in the right direction, but It doesn't earn a purchase at full price. I wouldn't get it for more than 15$.

In this package is the original Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited that shipped in 2015, a good and necessary update to the mediocre and disappointing 2014 release: The Elder Scrolls Online. This also includes a highly anticipated Morrowind expansion. This expansion is good. It's not a good of a remake of Morrowind's environments as Bethesda could make, but it's still great and refines the areas of that game very faithfully and creatively. But the quests in the expansion are pretty boring, and the characters are mostly lackluster too. Tamriel Unlimited wasn't a worthy successor to Skyrim to begin with, and the Morrowind expansion doesn't really improve ESO:TU much either, unless you count visuals, which I don't.

Aperture Tag: The Paint Gun Testing Initiative7
Oct 9, 2017
Aperture Tag is a decent game. Expanding the gels started in The Power of Paint and applied to portals in Portal 2 into their own full game. Well, not really a game, just a mod for Portal 2. But close enough. The core who is overseeing you in this game gets pretty annoying after a while. He's not as charismatic as Wheatley or as silently scheming as GLaDOS. The gameplay is the main draw of this game, and it is pretty good. But the way to gels launch from your gun feels really tacky and lazy, and takes you right out of the game every time you notice the strange delay and manner of which the gels launch from your gun. Small thing, but this really does annoy me. The puzzles are good, just as good as the puzzles in the Portal games, and does a good job of stretching the abilities of the gels. I would recommend this game to anyone who loved the gels from The Power of Paint and Portal 2, but if you didn't.... Well, you won't enjoy this mod that much.

All starting from a small student game in 2005, Valve caught wind of it and hired the entire team to work at Valve. What was the game about? Portals. And that was the main gameplay concept behind Portal too. This game is incredible. Very simple story, but the way it is told is very unique. The puzzles are easy at first, but slowly get more difficult, and by the end you are completely on your own. The graphics are not amazing, but they do the job. The soundtrack is mostly pretty lackluster but there are a good few gems in the score, trust me. The humour is pretty good too. In my opinion, this game is just as good as Portal 2, and is a very well done game. It is quite short, but if you get it for 10$ or under, you should be happy with what you're getting here.

Awesome game. Studio MDHR has never shipped anything before, but they've definitely started their game creation career with a bang. Amazing visuals that remind you of Felix the Cat and other cartoons like it, difficult but fair gameplay, and a coop mode that is probably the best way to play. Also the soundtrack is very good too. 20$ is a very fair price for a game like this as well. However, Cuphead is not a game for everyone, but you should give it a shot to see if it is. Left 4 Dead is a decent enough game. The gun-play is competent, the graphics are solid, and the game is very fun to play. The problem here is the severe lack of content. But the game is still a blast to play with friends. L4D2 is much better though, and I would definitely recommend that over this. If you still want to get this for whatever reason, I think max price would be 12$. I know that sounds like I despise the game, but the content you are getting here is sorely lacking, and 12$ is a fair price for a game with amazing core mechanics, but lacking in meaty play value.

Well, the final Left 4 Dead game before Turtle Rock left Valve in 2011 to pursue new projects. L4D2 is, first and foremost, and blast to play. The gunplay is great, the HUD design is solid, and the art style really fits in the atmosphere of these games. The many zombie variants is cool, and the new weapons thrown in the mix are fun to use too. This game is a blast to play cooperatively, and solo too. However, the story isn't all that interesting or well told, and the gameplay, while being very good, isn't quite rock solid enough for the game to fall back on. Aside from that, L4D2 is a very fun game, but I'd say you should get it for a max of 15$.

Well, well. The game that began the unique gels from Portal 2. This game, like Narbacular Drop, is a solid game, even though I think Narbacular is more significant. The physics are solid, and the gels are fun too. When this came out, Valve hired most of the team, who helped Valve release the Left 4 Dead games, before working on the gels for Portal 2. Even though the soundtrack quality has slipped due to Marty's absence. But the story is very boring, way too easy, and has laughable mission design, like in Destiny 1. The multiplayer is not much better either. Sure, it's fun for a while, but it feels like a watered down version of Destiny's multiplayer, which was in itself already a watered down version of Halo's multiplayer. Overall, Destiny 2 is better than 1, but it is not worth a purchase.

Papers, Please8

The reason this game peaked my interest was because Davey Wreden, the creator of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide expressed respect for the small indie title. So i dived right in, not sure what to expect. First off, the graphics are just terrible. But luckily, that doesn't detract from the experience playing the game. Second, the game is very cleverly designed. Not so much with the attention to detail in the look of the game, but about the subtle and clever moral dilemmas that this game springs on you during it's runtime. Great game, but not for everyone. Get it for a cheap price to see if it's for you or not.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy7

Originally planned as a DLC expansion for Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog enjoyed the development process so much they decided to expand the project into a standalone game. Overall, The Lost Legacy is an entertaining experience. The graphics are great, the gunplay is tight, and the story has some traditional wit and charisma to it. The problem is that this game feels way too much like U4 to be considered it's own game. I'm not 100% sure how much this game costs, but if it's being considered a standalone game, then it will cost a decent amount. And that decent amount is not worth this game, which feels like Uncharted 4.5, except probably overpriced. This is still a good game though, just a tad overpriced.
