I tried, really tried to like The Elder Scrolls as a MMORPG, I gave it a fair number of chances. Now I hoped the Morrowind will be a game-changer, but unfortunately it will not convince those who were unable to embrace TESO earlier. [09/2017, p.50]

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind is a great nostalgia trip for those that experienced the original main series game. Other than that, though, what it has to offer is outclassed by better, more popular games. However, if you do want to experience the oft-talked about Morrowind setting in a more modern game engine with more modern gameplay mechanics, and are able to look past its flaws, this might be a good time-waster for you.

ESO: Morrowind is a fantastic addition to the base game, including exceptional writing in quests, a new class and PvP battlegrounds. Despite some minor issues, the game is worth your time.

Its just by far the best mmorpg around. i was sceptical at first, cause i dont particulary like TES. Its not a asia - grinder and leveling is always fun. the combat is really nice. its rather simple compared to other games, but its fun and good for new players. the only issue i have, is the questmarkers. ist sometime hard to follow and to now where you gotta go. qualitywise its on the same level as WoW

It’s a great addition to the Elder Scrolls Lore and a lot of fun to set foot upon those lands again with higher quality visuals and game mechanics. If you love your open world gaming mixed with a bit of sword and sorcery, grab a copy and don your armour… it’s time to save someone from something…. oooh what’s that quest icon over there for…..

As a first real expansion to this unconventional MMO, Morrowind goes out of its way to pay homage to the 2002 hit game bearing the same name. Fortunately, it succeeds in evoking just the right amount of nostalgia, while maintaining its own storytelling identity, with its only shortcomings in those features expected of an MMO.

The release of TESO: Morrowind is the perfect time for fans of the Elder Scrolls single player games to jump in and give the MMORPG a try if they’ve been hesitant so far. Even if you just play as a lone wolf and want to experience the game’s stories and quests as well as explore past Vvardenfell, it’s worth the price of admission. Whether you stay for the long haul, or convert from a different MMORPG is going to depend on how much you enjoy the game’s PvP and end game structure, which has both its strengths and weaknesses. If you’re already playing, you’ve likely figured that out already and don’t need this review to tell you. If you’re playing something else, the only way to know for sure if you’ll like it is to try, and TESO: Morrowind is an expansion worth giving a shot.

Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind certainly offers some great quest lines and a fantastic nostalgia trip for those familiar with Vvardenfell. However, it feels a lot emptier, with monsters being simply unexciting and the new PVP being abysmally balanced. The new Warden class, however, offers an interesting new way to play.

Morrowind is a good expansion, very enjoyable, and its single player content is very solid, even though once we finish the story we would be missing something more.

A fun experience. It didn’t quite recapture the old feel of Morrowind, nor did I expect it to. Nostalgic imaginings never quite get it right, relying on the hype of previous entries. It was, however, a good-faith effort with a strong focus.

I loved it for the quests and the Warden. The rest of the game could still use a few improvements but it's a great way to use some time.

So I have only put about 40hrs into this game. I have really enjoyed the time I have played though. The quests aren't very imaginative, the graphics are so-so, but the lore, all the books, fully voiced characters. It is a treat to feel immersed in a game world.

Good add-on, if you buy it for lets say $20, not worth much more than that. Good new areas to explore. Great new class but definitely not worth the original price of $40,-

Morrowind "expansion" is actually more aptly called DLC. However by calling it an expansion, the devs now can exclude subscribers that do not purchase Morrowind from future contents related to Morrowind. That being said what's there is good, there's no doubt about that. The price point however should be no more than $20.

Far too overpriced for what you get. This should have been regarded as DLC, not an expansion. The content is good but not full game price good. I would suggest waiting until you can get it for $20 or less because that's about how much content value it holds. The reason I gave it such a low rating is because the balance changes done with this update made PvP much more enjoyable but it made PvE much less enjoyable. I happen to be a PvE player primarily so this update has soured the game for me. I've been playing this game since the beta and I think now is the time that I will put it down once and for all. The grind that it took to get some of the end-game gear from certain trials is ridiculous. Played this game for 2 years and still don't have some of the end-game weapons I've been working for. Now that the PvE aspect has been changed in the way that it has, it makes the grind feel even less worth it. I think this update, for the most part, killed the PvE aspect of the game.
SummaryFor players who already own The Elder Scrolls Online, adventure awaits in this new chapter of the award-winning online series. Morrowind is on the verge of destruction, and it’s up to you to save it from a deadly Daedric threat. Embark on a dangerous journey through legendary locales.
