Assassin's Creed Shadows2
Mar 22, 2025
Please for the love of god, can we move on from the god awful RPG era of Assassin's Creed games? Can we please stop ruining the franchise with overly complicated combat? Can we please stop ruining it by making it so you don't one hit assassinate people? The game looks good visually and that is about where the positives for this game ends. Combat feels stale and old. The dialog is awful. The story is bad. The historical part of historical fiction is sorely missing. The AI is really awful. You can just go prone mid combat and they lose track of you. I refunded this game after about three hours of hoping something that would save it would happen.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard3
Nov 1, 2024
I will preface this review with a little background. I first played Dragon Age: Origins on my XBOX 360 so many years ago and fell in love. And admittedly Dragon Age has been in a downward spiral since. Didn't like DA2. Didn't like Inquisition. Well lets get on with it then. We have a lot to cover. Art style: 1/10. Looks like some lazy live service fortnite stuff. Its ugly, doesn't fit the dark theme of dragon age, and is just off putting.Writing/ Dialogue: 0/10 Really, really bad. I have to agree with Skillup here. It really does feel like HR is in the room playing with me. Every line feels like sterilized corporate speak. Theres even a small part of me that thinks some of this writing was done by AI. I'll come back to this in a moment in the next section. RPG Aspects: 3/10: And I'll tell you why. The character creation is pretty good but its not enough to save this game in this category. Yeah you can choose all sorts of stuff about your character. But the choices you make don't make a difference. Going back to the bad writing for a second we can address how choices in this game aren't real. They are false choices. Sure you get multiple dialogue options to reply to people with but is it really a choice if all the dialogue options say the same thing with different words? Can I be a bad guy? No. Can I make bad decisions? No. In DA:Origins I could literally sacrifice a small child to a demon. In Veilguard I can't even tell a person no. My dialogue options are A) Agree.B) Agree in different ****) Agree in a sarcastic tone. Combat: 5/10 Not the worst combat. Not the best. I'd probably give this a 7/10 if it wasn't a Dragon Age game but I refuse to reward them not removing even more of the CRPG elements that made DA: Origins so **** all, I would not recommend, I would not buy again, and if God willing they accept my request I will get a refund. P.S. I am sorry to whoever is reading this. Meta critic apparently got rid of linebreaks?

Its great to be able to play a game and not have politics rammed down my throat. Gameplay is smooth, character design is nice, visuals are amazing. Its a 9 out of 10. It would be a 10 out of 10 but I really am getting tired of every game being a soulslike.

Its a dollar store Overwatch with Wish characters and Temu gameplay. Nobody wants to play video games as the fat kid that gets beat up at lunch time.

I spent several hours playing this game. First the positives. The game is smooth, it looks good, and the ui is pretty clean. Thats about all there is for positives. The cons, after a few hours you hit the paywall and boy oh boy is it a paywall. You want to do any of the end game? Better get a second job to pay for the insane $50,000 cost to upgrade a single stat. This game is morally and ethically bankrupt.

The Last of Us Part II1
Jun 19, 2020
This game is full of huge game breaking bugs, a story that feels like it was written by a high school kid for creative writing class, and has nothing to do with the original game. Calling this a sequel to a AAA title like The Last of Us is an insult. It feels more like I am playing an indie game made by a misguided computer programming club in a high school with no original ideas or thoughts of their own.
