Tom Clancy's The Division8
Mar 19, 2016
This game is great. It has problems, very many in fact, but it's worth the cost. Let's start out with the positives. The atmosphere this game provides is stupendous. Just walking around the city, you'll find a real, living world. Enemies are nearly random, the graphics and sound are fantastic: to put it in short, the atmosphere is breathtaking. The gun modification system is well done and easy to understand. In most modern games, an easy modification system is a rare sight, which means all the more credit to Ubisoft. Navigating the map can be really fun, surprisingly. There's tons of stuff to do, such as complete encounters, do side missions, loot, etc. I swear to God, I spend about 30 minutes each session trying to make my character look freaking fabulous. And I have succeeded. There's actual challenge to the game, meaning enemies aren't made of cotton candy and objectives are fairly tough. Each level will easily take up at least 30 minutes, sometimes up to an hour. All the technical stuff (Graphics, controls, less glitches, etc.) is superb. I, personally, think the story is pretty worth it. It'll keep you fairly interested for the most part. The game has problems though, so it is nowhere near perfect. You'll see the same enemies over and over again as you make a painstaking attempt to slaughter a million clones charging at you. If you're a level 10, have a group of levels 9-11 and then a level 30 or so comes on, you're screwed. The level unbalance can be crazy and outright unfair at times. The game's so called "bosses" are no more than bullet sponge versions of normal enemies. This is more of a complaint for Beta players: I remember at level 6 or 7 I was gathering loot in the DZ during the Beta and kicking ass with my sweet new gear. Now, the first time I was able to extract without getting brutally massacred by two bullets from the weakest enemies was at level 10 or 11. FML. If you buy the Gold Edition, the sawed off shotgun you get will only last up to about level 12 or 13, 15 if you're lucky (WHATEVER YOU DO, THOUGH, DON'T GET RID OF IT. EVER. IT WILL SAVE YOUR SORRY ASS WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT). The outfits for GD are sweet, though. With all of its problems, all of the good stuff is where The Division really shines. If you're hesitant, than read more into the game. If you're interested and are mostly on the side of getting it, you're probably going to love it.

Tired of mowing down noobs, equipped with your arsenal of Mtn. Dew, Doritos, Turtle Beach headphones, and your epic gold PS3 controller? Want something to do all day other than invest yourself in the gripping tale of a man in the apocalypse while playing The Last of Us? No? Well, then, I don't care. Get off of that lazy bum of yours and go to the nearest game store and get this modern classic. I will say something before I begin: This is not a game. It is an experience. The graphics are phenomenal. Honestly some of the best ever seen. As for the story, it's incredibly vague, but pay close attention and you shall learn the secrets of thatgamecompany's masterpiece. Once you understand, you will feel the feels of a thousand feels. As for length, the game is only an hour or two, but every second is spent from exploring the beautiful desert sands of Journey to enduring the cold, harsh winter environments of the mountain. Everywhere you go is littered with beauty and originality. The feelings you will feel will range from fear to overwhelming joy. Oh? What's that? Did you just ask me where the guns are? There are none. No combat. No violence. No explosions. NOTHING. And it is BEAUTIFUL. As for the ending, it's kind of sad, but it turns out that it's just the closest thing to a modern "congratulations". But the thing is, at that point, you don't CARE. The journey is something every human must bear witness to. After all, it is about the journey, not the destination. As for the online, it's nice. I completely support the idea. Meeting somebody just like you: somebody clueless, who meets you like you meet him: Confused, unknowing, and a mind full of wonder. Definitely but this game. And I don't mean if you happen to see it somewhere. I mean get up right now and buy it. Nobody deserves to miss out. Oh, does this not sound appealing? Well, I'm sure you'd rather get back to your episode of Dora the Explorer. Fair enough. I shall keep you no longer.

"Simply amazing." -Me Eh, nah. Look, don't get me wrong. It's worth what you pay. The story is quite comical, the controls are good, gameplay is fun, but I realize now that the game had a few problems. The open world is huge, which I love. You can drive around and explore the place for an hour and STILL not find everything. But there isn't very much to do in the environment. You need to farm to get bricks, since there isn't enough else to do to get a good amount of bricks. Other than the people and small sidequests, the whole world is, well, empty. Combat is awesome, but lacks difficulty. The whole game lacks replayablility. Other than these issues, the game is great. Definitely pick it up if you're a fan of funny games with expansive environments. Oh, and cops. Cops are cool.

Team Fortress 29

Team Fortress 2 is a darn good game. Controls are solid, graphics are appealing, the only real complaint I have is about micro-transactions, but all of them are completely avoidable with a little time and effort. There's a class for just about everybody, whether you're a stealthy player to an accurate player to a brute, this game will suffice your needs. I always find myself playing this game when I'm bored and have nothing else to do. I haven't had too many negative online interactions, all of the bad ones just being those 9-year-old newbies. All of this for the low, low price of FREE.

I really, really like this game. The fact that it gets a 4.5/10 saddens me deeply. It's an FPS MMORPG mix, and it's executed very well. But I have a couple problems with it. Problem 1: The graphics in the environment could be better. The terrain could be A LOT better. Problem 2: Loading screens take forever. Problem 3: The fact that you have to be level 20 to get a lot of items in the game makes the story feel more mandatory than it should be. Problem 4: Mandatory grinding/farming for exp, items, etc. Problem 5: VERY repetitive level design. Problem 6: Cliche story. Problem 7: Ghost (I call him Fabio) voice actor is really bad. I know 7 problems seems like alot for an 8/10, but these are minor problems. Overall, Destiny is a fantastic game, and it deserves it's 180 awards and nominations. The game, overall, is an underrated (Judging by the reviews) modern classic, and a great game to add to your PlayStation 3 collection.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster3

No. I just can't play this game anymore. I hate it. It's just so... bad. Let's start off with why I didn't give this game a 0/10: Reason 1: The story's... good, I guess. I mean, I like it, I just don't necessarily love it. Reason 2: The music's also okay... but more on that later. Now why it ****. Reason 1: Combat. It's so boring! Here is combat in Final Fantasy: Decide what you want to do. Press buttons. Wait for enemies to attack. Attack. Rinse and repeat. It's pretty boring. And sometimes these fights last FOREVER! You will be sitting on your couch mindlessly pressing buttons for hours. This is, without a doubt in my mind, the WORST example of turn based fighting EVER. Reason 2: The music drones on... and on... on an endless loop. The songs themselves are okay, but the fact that they loop constantly is annoying. Reason 3: The voice acting. I have no words on this topic. Goodbye. Reason 4: SIN'S. FREAKING. TAIL. WHY GAME!?!? WHYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?!?! Reason 5: Let's get away from combat for a minute. Walking around the map is so pointless! I'm not kidding! Aside from "secret" treasure chests that you could find in a heartbeat, the game is so linear that there's no point to adding this to the game! I think that about sums it up. As a remake, it's really good! But as a GAME.... Don't pick it up. Just don't. The graphics are meh, the story is meh, the music is meh, but other than that, there isn't anything redeeming about it. I give this game... a 3/10.

Batman: Arkham Origins8

Despite what many people say, this is my favorite entry to the Arkham franchise. Sure, the gameplay is the same as the other two, but people don't get mad at Arkham City for having the same mechanics as the game before it. I mean, what gives? Anyways, it's a really fun game, but I had to take away 2 points because the gameplay is the same, and online mode ****. But still, get the game, (And maybe a DLC, particularly the one where you can play as Deathstroke) it's a good one.

Goat Simulator7
Mar 1, 2015
The game is fun, no doubt, but I didn't see it as very comedic. I think the glitches and such fit into the game's theme, and there is too much content for me to handle, so that's a plus. I always see myself coming back to it, because, as I said earlier, it's quite entertaining. Plus there are plenty of cool mods for it, and with the new (Might I add free) Goat MMO Simulator expansion pack, it's a pretty cool game. And people are **** this game for it's price, but first off, there's so much content that I think it's worth the ten bucks, and second off, Turbo Dismount was fifteen bucks. (I mean, it's a fun game, but really?) Think about that. Now, of course, with an unpolished game comes a multitude of problems. Problem 1: The frame rate is terrible. Maybe it's just my computer, but it can drop to one frame per second depending on what I'm doing. Coffee Stain, you MUST fix this. Please. Problem 2: With a game with comical glitches comes a game with bad glitches. I'm talking game crashes, texture glitches, glitched music. Speaking of music... Problem 3: There are five or six songs. (Minus the ambiance, but let's face it, that doesn't count.) Come on, CoffeeStain, if your only going to make a couple songs, make them GOOD. Problem 4: No online multiplayer. This is THE PERFECT GAME for online multiplayer. I'm not talking about Goat MMO Simulator, I'm talking about the non-MMO areas. Goatville and Goat City Bay. (Are those the right names?) These were my pros and cons of Goat Simulator. Overall, I like it, but it needs improvements.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U7
Mar 1, 2015
Truly a series that gets better with each installment, the 4th Smash Bros installment, with it's a huge array of characters and maps, is a blast. But there are 2 major problems I have with this game. 1. Single player is incredibly boring. If you don't have another person playing with you, I simply don't see the point of playing the game if there's no one there to share the experience with you. 2. The biggest problem I have with the game is that the gameplay gets really old really fast. I played this thing for 2 or 3 hours, and got bored after that. I can only get some entertainment out of it once in a while because it gets really boring after a couple of hours. I mean, sure, it's fun finding the easter eggs, but other than that, it's not all that entertaining. But when it is fun, it's freaking awesome. Overall, it's a great game, and these are problems that I have with the series as a whole, so any of you who say that's why Melee is better, it's not, because it suffers from these problems too. So, is it worth buying the console so you can play it? Definitely not. Is it still fun? Absolutely.
