$30 is too expensive to me should tell you all you need to know of the depth of this game. Online matchmaking is the only thing you can do. Gameplay seems solid although not perfect, it does capture that old nba street itch. This probably could've been a free game

Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Here we go Pokemon, another year another mediocre title don't know why i even bother at this point, but i do have a deep love for the series. Although Legends Z-A is better than it's predecessor Arceus, it's not really saying much. We got buildings! But the city is still bland and boring. Combat is probably the worst I ever seen in a pokemon game what a sloppy unbalanced mess, that even a small a small studio in level 5's ni no kuni accomplished far better. Graphic have **** for over a decade and it's no different. Easy and simple game that isn't going to give you much to do after your done. Some pros are really cool mega evolutions which made a well needed return, pokedex hunting is pretty fun but thats about it. I feel like a broken record saying this but pokemon is so far behind the curve that it needs a complete overhaul of what they think a good game is although i dont know how possible that would be considering pokemon has a lot of massive shareholders and it would take years to get changes approved (why indie companies are awesome) but i would be willing to wait as the open world era of pokemon has been a complete flop and it needs to stop.

Ahhh Kirby air riders. First played this 20+ years ago with my friends on the gamecube for hours and always had a blast. I was very excited and pumped about this release and It didn't disappoint. New additions include new carts, new characters, bigger city trial map which is as fun as ever. Simple yet can be challenging gameplay that only Masahiro Sakurai can brilliantly accomplish with all of his games. Not a whole lot of progression or unlocks but it's a good party time. They also added a story mode which went better than I thought. Overall, high speeds, high thrills, high fun. You can pick it up for 10 minutes or 2 hours and have a great time. They added an online social areas which leave more to be desired from that. Also I don't understand the point of ranked play and all these different search queues, not really a negative but could matter once the online player base dies off.

This is a real gem of a platforms made by the creators of Mario Odyssey, and they didn't disappoint. It was a breath of fresh air to see DK return as a main character in a 3d platformer which we haven't seen since the n64 I think. This game doesn't stray too far away from the mario 3d norm but it adds very delightful additions like smashing up and destroying the map. Story was better than I thought it would be but some may view a lot of it as corny. Wonderful games and puzzles that only nintendo's best can conjure.

This probably be one of my more controversial takes and it makes me sad but Metroid Prime 4 is the worst Metroid game I ever rated 2d or 3d. Talk about losing there way.... We had to wait a good 5 years for this release, and the result was an open world rpg, poor level design, boring lore, and corny additions like a Superbike. This is not what metroid is about and nobody asked for this. Graphics run well on the switch 2 and combat is more polished then ever. It just **** I don't feel like I'm playing a metroid game and feels more of an old elder scrolls game. Fun can be had here.

Easily the best game I played in 2025 other than Expedition 33. Story is just wonderful and engaging, combat is as good as ever. The world is jam packed with content. Graphics are very beautiful with some hiccups at certain parts. Truly a 2d rpg masterpiece that almost puts old final fantasy games to shame. 1000 hours to complete and was very satisfying. Thank you square and get on rolling them out.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Pros: Cannon Story, and it'sprobably the best running hyrule warriors yet. Characters are also pretty cool although not very unique at times. Cons: If you played any other hyrule warriors or dynasty warriors this doesn't add anything new or play any different from the MUOSU norm. Still feels like no strategy needed just mindless button mashing over and over until you get sick of it. I wish Koei Techmo would push the boundaries a little more withthere main ip.

Mario Kart World

Mario kart world is a complicated but fun time. Stylistically and mechanically it is a very well running Mario kart as you would expect from the series in 2025. Some new ideas were hits while most were misses, which consist of: Open world is a big miss, almost complete emptiness with little to do and not much fun to have. Online race mode is also a huge disappointment compared to the last Mario kart entry, 24 players is too much chaos and probably should be sticking with the knockout mode. The knockout mode is a welcome hit, very fun, gripping, and cool how it transitions between tracks. However most of the tracks are one big long lap which is a pretty tone deaf answer to how most people felt about those dlc tracks in Mario kart 8. Overall Fun, but leaves a sour taste of just wanting more out of an $80 title.

Very solid remaster with beautiful artwork in the graphics. Some things in this game don't seem made for the switch like some mini games.

Some quality of life improvements make menu management and recruiting. Recruiting is also a little more of a challenge. However the good stops right when you enter a game. Defense is beyond putrid on my side and cpu side. This might the tackling mechanics I have ever dealt with in football game since Tecmo bowl. Offense is ok... recievers are awkward with animations and tend to drop a lot of easy passes. Overall a complete downgrade for the series in gameplay. Maybe patches can fix this

Game captures the college esthetic well and dynasty mode is fun and difficulty spikes are fair. The good ends there however. Road to glory is worse and more barebones than the old titles. Gameplay is a mess especially playing defense is miserable. Graphics are honestly a downgrade from madden even. Ultimate team stinks, not much to do or fun cards to collect. The soundtrack is a tad annoying, respect to the drummer though he nailed it.
