Catherine: Full Body

Catherine: Full Body, another masterpiece from Atlus that is now getting its definitive edition and its definitely the best re-release they ever made. Catherine: Full Body fixes everything that Catherine does not so great, the supposed transphobia in Vanilla Catherine with Erica Anderson is now fixed, she is given much more screen time, much more important screen time as well, she is absolutely perfect in Full Body, there are some other minor fixes that the game does, such as improving the colour vibrance in the game, making it feel more alive, best character expressions and so on and so forth. Catherine: Full Body delivers a new experience with Vincent Brooks, and in the most mature way possible, Vincent opens a new door in his life, one where he doesnt have to choose between Order and Chaos, he doesnt have to fully comply with the adult life and live by the strict order of marriage imposed by society's values, and Vincent also doesnt have to fully commit to a completely free life, without any sense of order, just pure giving in to temptation and instincts, not having to take responsibility for the way he lives his life. Vincent now can open another door, a balance between the two, which is the most challenging one but also the most rewarding one. Catherine: Full Body introduces Rin, a new character that enters the Catherine universe, after Vincent saving her from dealing with a stalker, she suffers from amnesia and stays at the Stray Sheep bar playing piano and lives right next door to Vincent. and now with the triangle of love spunning into a square of love, its your job to decide how you will live your life with, who you will choose to live by your side at the end of the times. Full Body introduces for gameplay the remix mode, which is essentially tetris-like pieces that you can pull and gives off new space for ENTIRELY different levels and ENTIRELY different ways to complete the stage, the game is pretty much something else completely, the already innovative, groundbreaking experience of Vanilla Catherine is now back, and much, much better than before. Catherine Full Body also introduces some new concepts to make it easier for the player to enjoy it, once you complete the game once you can skip the stages so you can get through all the endings quicker, the game has a total of 13 endings, which playing all of it 13 times seems really exhausting, but now you can just skip straight to the choices, confessionals, cutscenes and moments that you want to see on your ending. The music in Vanilla Catherine was already something else, but in Full Body it takes a more jazz approach, and it elevates so much the already pristine quality soundtrack, it has a new Opening for the game now, which is addicting to listen to, new themes for the bar, you can actually customise the song you listen at the bar with other atlus games such as shin megami tensei and persona, it is a fantastic feature. Catherine Full Body is what i would call a perfect game, its flawless, the gameplay is perfect, not too difficult not too hard, the story is perfection, the voice acting is pristine, nice adult jokes and you really feel like just chilling with your friends on a bar, the perfect way to measure what ending you will get, by your actions, flawless characters, perfect pacing and development, Catherine: Full Body is unique, its never been done before, probably never will be done again, its mature, kind and frenetic, just like the adulthood. Catherine Full Body brings the message that love always wins in the end, and no matter what expectations, disappointments, happy and sad moments you have with your partner, its all worth it at the end, with love and honesty in the relationship, you can overcome the biggest mountains, climb the biggest walls. And to anyone saying that Catherine is transphobic, my sincere **** YOU because you either didnt play it or didnt even understand a single thing about the game, the game should be the icon of the lgbtq+ community.

NieR: Automata

NieR: Automata is one of the most beautiful games to exist, its profound story and perfect combat combined with the perfect music really sends you to the game of this post apocaliptic world. Instead of foccusing on what NieR: Automata does right, which a lot, i think its best to understand what it doesnt do right. Colour Scheme and Scenery: While NieR: Automata has a beautiful landscape with tons of new concepts and ideas, like the Amusement Park and Pascal's Village, the game suffers from a great problem that touches its beautiful scenery, the colour scheme is horrendous, the game always has this gray tone in EVERYTHING that you look at, the colours (when they are present) look washed out and boring, some may argue that the colour scheme was thought to reflect the state of the world and the characters, however i do not buy this, i think it doesnt add anything and if anything it only takes the potential that the game had to look even better. Textures and minor details: While the overall game may look just fine, the game can range from incredible textures like 2B clothes to terrible cardboard paper textures like the rocks near the shopping district, this inconsistency summed with the bland washed out colour scheme create a very unamusing thing to look at. Overall Settings and Perfomance: that is the worst possible thing to talk about when talking about NieR: Automata, not being able to pause and use the menu when you are doing any type of movement is ridiculous, not being able until 2021 to play the game in 16:9 is something baffling, an insult, the ammount of disregard for the PC port of this game is visible. Story Repetition (routes): arguably while NieR has one of the best stories, it also suffers a lot from its repetition, when you are playing with 9S on route B, its the worst part of the game, you are playing something you already played, with a much worse gameplay and way more boring, overall Route B is where people seem to leave the game, i cant blame them, its not something perfect by any means, very much the opposite actually. Things that NieR does the best: Soundtrack: the soundtrack for NieR Automata is one of the best in the entire video game industry, the perfect combination of instruments and singing for every single moment of the game, it has somber songs, sad songs, happy songs, fighting songs, you got it all, if it wasnt for NieR's amazing soundtrack im 100% the game wouldnt be what it is. Gameplay: NieR gives you a lot of possibilities with the setup you want to use, you can use multiple weapons, combined with your pod, which gives you a lot of possibilities on how you want to approach the fight, and the game is actually challenging, being an alternate gameplay between 2D Platformers and actual combat, it never gets boring. Story: While one could argue that the story is not that good, i sincerely think its great, i also prefer NieR:Replicant story over Automata, however the story is not bad by any means, its really something else, entirely different, its in its own league, it plays a lot with philosophy and dilemmas, if you are not interested by those topics then obviously the story is not for you, however i dont see anything anything wrong with Automata's story, objectively speaking. Overall: NieR: Automata is great, it has a great story, beautiful soundtrack and amazing combat, it suffers from a lot of problems in regards to settings, colour schemes, framerate and all, but if you genuinely wish to get past these problems and attempt to accept the game for what it is, it can become a fantastic experience.

9.5, the only reason i dont give Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc a 10 is purely because of the gameplay, which wasnt mature yet, it was really more of a hassle than an actual interesting way of making the trial progress, however other than that the game is absolutely flawless, the characters are perfect, their designs are flawless, the scenery is unmatched, the music is pristine, the trials are a blast and it is without a doubt, the best Danganronpa Game

I love Danganronpa, i really do, however to turn a blind eye to the disappointing direction the series has been going is not looking to the reality of the situation at hand. This is without a doubt, the worst danganronpa game, which in it of itself is still a great game, dont get me wrong. but the game is such a let down in so many ways, it tries to explore new grounds but ends up being flat at the end of the day, though i can certaintly appreciate the effort. The Characters: Danganronpa V3 has some good characters, the problem with the game however its not the characters themselves, but how they are developed, this is the game with the worst character development out of the series, some characters that the game hype you up and are genuinely interesting, the game just disposes of them way too quickly, and characters who are boring, unintersting, the game decides to keep them alive, is a weird decision. Danganronpa V3 has 4-5 excellent characters that are perfectly developed, but it has almost the rest of the cast poorly developed, which is a let down compared to what we got on Danganronpa 1 and 2. Character Design: Amazing BUT, with danganronpa v3 there is always a BUT unfortunately, either way, i think the game tries too hard to get their personalities in the clothing, i honestly love the danganronpa v3 designs but if you look at the beta designs for each character some of them are WAY better than the ones we got, because they dont try TOO hard to be something, for some reason Danganronpa V3 just takes the character designs to an uncanny level, where it doesnt seem like a school anymore, losing its sense. The Gameplay: by far the best danganronpa gameplay, which was to be expected since danganronpa 2 was a huge improvement from Danganronpa 1, it requires more logical thinking, the games are way more fun, way more interactive, it keeps you wanting to play them, rather than being a hassle like in Danganronpa 1 or 2. The Trials: Danganronpa V3 has the least appealing trials, it starts off AMAZING but it declines so much its ridiculous, there are only 2 cases in this game which i would consider to be Danganronpa 1 Tier of quality, the trials however are not bad by any means, they are just so bland and unintersting compared to the other games, they are even more predictable than in Danganronpa 2. The Biggest Problem With Danganronpa: the long info dump which is pretty much common sense amongst all of the community and you as a player probably realised that by now after the first 2 games that it is ridiculous the ammount of time and mental fatigue that the huge info dump that the last chapter inflicts, and for no one's surprises, in this game is way worse, the info dump is EVEN LONGER and WAY more boring, but why that is, im going to discuss on the last topic. Lack Of Creativity and Mastermind: unfortunately they screwed it up REALLY bad in this game, they tried to do something similar to Danganronpa 1 in a way? but why? what good does that do if you are not changing the root of your game? its been the same thing for 3 GAMES, this game has lost its ambition that it had on the first game. Characters pt2: also the characters match their clothing, they are exaggerated in a ridiculous way, you have a very weird, and highly embarrassing quantity of embarrassing moments, the characters act so unnaturaly, you have a sexist, a weird relationship between a girl who likes to be insulted and one that likes to insult her, that creates this really weird, off putting atmosphere in the game, dont get me wrong, im all for dark humor, but it doesnt land well at all, considering they are, *students*. Overall: Danganronpa V3 is the most uninspired and not-danganronpa game out of the franchise, it has a great gameplay, the best one, it has a handful of awesome characters and great scenarios and ideas for trials, however Danganronpa V3 fails miserably in the execution, the overbearing and honestly, insulting personalities of some characters make the game just that much worse, it has no room for originality, its just basically everyone acting extra all the time, beating a dead horse, continuing to make the same quirky jokes, the same well, dubious sexual jokes (they are students btw) and all that, the intended way of making a humor and taking the player off the edge of the trial its not reached whatsoever, it ends up putting you off the trial, the game has no creativity for its ending, it uses the same formula that danganronpa 2 used, the vast majority of characters are poorly written, overall is danganronpa v3 recommended? yes. is it as great as the first 2? not by a landslide. does it destroy the series with its ending? Almost.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a great game, but does it hold up to Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc? it does not unfortunately. The Characters: The characters in danganronpa 2 are great, my favourite characters in the franchise are on it, however the worst characters in the franchise are also on it, some of them are either fantastic or complete garbage, compared to danganronpa 1 where there wasnt any bad characters, everyone had their moment to shine and be a good character, and its own way. this inconsistency in the characters is what takes a bit of the greatness of the game for me, since most of the times you can only really feel encouraged to solve the murders of your friends if you are actually considering them as friends, but characters like Hiyoko Saionji make you feel like even if they have a good story and potentially a good friendship if you are willing to be spend time with them, because of their overall rudeness and overbearing personalities, it just isnt worth the effort, so you say F that character and procede to be less and less attached to the overall cast. The Character Designs: They are just as good as danganronpa 1. The designs are full of personality, intriguing, beautiful and maintain and further the ground for new possibilities while asserting that danganronpa style The Character Development: that here is one of the problems that would get even worse with Danganronpa V3, id say about half or maybe more get a great development but some characters are either outshined and intentionally dumbed down for no reason whatsoever, characters that just repeat the same quote or just behave the exact same way with no change whatsoever, characters that are completely outshined by fan service, this is a delicate part because the game tries too hard to give justification for the fan service, which just ends up being awkward at the end, specially when the whole development of this character in question is completely destroyed by the fanservice. The Gameplay: While there is a significant improvement in the Trial session from Danganronpa 1 to Danganronpa 2, the games are more engaging, less luck or quick thinking and more assembling the right pieces and more inner thinking, which is the right way for a game like this, in the school life the gameplay is significantly worse, i dont know why the game turned into a 2D environment where you can only walk left and right, its definitely the worst aspect of the gameplay, so much so that it has been changed in danganronpa V3, it just takes the feeling of freedom that you had in Danganronpa 1 where you could move freely in the environment, here it feels downgraded and just really bad. The Trials: The most important part of any danganronpa game, the trials in this game are still fantastic, however, the mastermind behind each trial is way more predictable than in the first game, while the trials had a huge amount of complexity added to them, the overall mystery of the person who done it is way easier to discover, which ultimately decreases the quality of the trials, it doesnt matter how complex it is, if you still can predict who the blackened is in the first 10 minutes of trial than certainly you didnt do a great job, or at least not a great job as you did in Danganronpa 1. The Biggest Danganronpa Problem: While this may seem like a pretty exaggerated title it certaintly stands up for its name, im talking about every single last chapter in the danganronpa franchise, whenever you discover who the mastermind is, this starts a huge, and i mean huge, 3 hours + of info dump on your head, lets not forget that behind that huge info dump after you uncover the mastermind you also have to UNCOVER the mastermind in the first place, so you are already thinking about that, then you have to go to the trial that uncovers the mastermind, and you got my point, its a huge info dump that the game does not prepare you and it is roughly 5-6 hours of complete reading and understanding of the game, which exhausts ANYONE and this UNFORTUNATELY increases with each passing game, the info dump gets longer and well, less interesting. Overall Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a phenomenal game, the trials are great, the characters are great, its certaintly a great sequel to Danganronpa 1, the gameplay is way better in the trials and has a lot of improvements, however the game still has a lot of issues, some of it they created it out of nowhere, and some of them who werent issues in the first game but started to become issues in the 2nd and 3rd installments of the series.

1st playthrough - Medium ; 2nd Playthrough - Hard ; Total Time: 81 hours How can i define Tales Of Arise? the latest entry in the series provides stunning graphics, beautiful landscapes and engaging combat, but what about the story? and the rest? Lets talk about what Tales Of Arise succedes first, the game has a nice combat, feels good to play it although it becomes remarkably boring and uninspired in the later stages, the little things like the finishers and new skills help the game stay fresh for a while until it inevitably becomes boring again. The graphics are amazing, the landscapes look fantastic and full of life and beauty, the characters look amazing, their expressions are masterfully animated, you can feel the emotion that the characters wants to portray and so on and so forth. Unfortunately there isnt much positive things i can say about Tales Of Arise, now on to the negatives, the story is absolutely a mess, its bland, not original, which in it of itself its not a problem, but its bad and not original, the game is so surface level at explaining how things develop. Every single region its just a place where you do a couple of missions and bye, there is no remarkable characters in any region, there isnt a motive to come back aside from some mini bosses and some filler quests. The characters are some of the most uninspired, bland, personality-lacking ones ive ever seen, Aside from Shionne And Alphen, which are the protagonists, the rest of the cast fails miserably in developing connection with the player, maybe 1-2 party members have a good story but thats about it. The combat is mediocre at best, dont get me wrong, it is satisfying, it is engaging, it is phenomenal, for a couple of hours. after a while you will find youself spamming the same set of skills, doing the same things, not needing to adjust your playstyle at all, no matter what you do you will always end up defeating the enemy, so why bother? there is no incentive to get strong because the game is so easy and lacks challenge, you dont feel challenged at any point in Tales Of Arise, just spam a set ammount of skills and youre good, no big deal, the combat is so bland that playing the game for the second time was a pain, i found myself constantly just trying to get pass the enemy hitboxes just to not trigger a fight because you dont do ANYHING different. Ambiance: While the game does look fantastic and the graphics are phenomenal, the ambiance is a totally different aspect that cant be "bought" with good graphics, the regions are just so bland, they are so cliché and so outdated, it doesnt evoke any sentiment, its just a region, its just a let down really. if the awesome graphics could be combined with good ambiance, it would make the perfect atmosphere and even make the story better, but that doesnt happen. Bosses and Villains: they are just bosses, they dont have ambitions of their own, they dont have objectives, they are just there to fill the role of a villain, they lack story, they lack personality, everything, the villains are arguably the worst part of this entire game. their designs are bland, just like the rest of the game. Last but not least, the plot devices used in this game are ridiculous, characters will just let things be THE WORST POSSIBLE until they finally decide to act just so the game has a longer play time, and even when they try to do something it obviously turns out for the worst, never for the best, proving that its just a bait for people to think that the characters have some sense and some type of intelligence of their own, when it reality everything in this game moves around plot devices and dumb decisions and dumb characters. Overall Tales Of Arise is a overrated and painfully mediocre game, however, if you are looking for a plain story where you dont have to think too much or pay attention to anything, a gameplay that is fun for a little while, beautiful graphics, and some fuses of excitement and romance, go for it. BUT IF you are looking for a Great RPG with great story, great music, great ambiance, deep characters, profound dilemmas and engaging combat with actual difficulty, Tales Of Arise is NOT for you.

i wanted to give this a 7.7, so consider that as my final rating, this is the game with most plot holes that i've ever seen in a long time, the characters are blend and without any depth to it, i spent quite a long time thinking on how could i rate this game as a whole because honestly, it seems like this game can be divided in 2 parts, one part is you being a child/teenager, and the other one is you a little bit older. all the chapters where you are a child/teenager are awesome, if the game was only that, i'd rate it 11/10, but since and unfortunately, the majority of the plot is in the adult part, the whole thing its horrible and exhaustingly long, the child/teenager chapter varied 1-30 minutes, and the adult sequences are an hour or longer, basically, the good part its short and the *BAD* part is so long so that makes the game so boring and reassures to me to never come back again to this ever. i wish i could give this a 5 or less, but the scenes where you are a child/teenager really save the game.
