I just can't get past the finger acrobatics I need to do in order to play. The UI is extremely outdated, the whole interface seems like a combination between Mass Effect and Cyperpunk, but with 50% actions and shortcuts added on top. And who the hell designed the combat so that you get one shot by everything, but it takes a whole AK-74 mag emptied in someone's head to kill? And I won't even mention the thousands of bugs. Just one month after release they put out a 100GB patch that fixed over 1800 bugs. How about, next time, you keep the game in development for one more month and release it with the bugs already fixed? Just a thought...

Bugfesda strikes again, this time with a poorly executed wannabe mashup of No Man's Sky and The Outer Worlds. Todd "The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time" Howard's arrogant boasting of spending a $200 million budget on a 500 people team for 25 years of development is yet another blatant lie considering the game doesn't have the sandbox infinite universe that NMS provides, nor the excellent storytelling, character development and narrative content that TOW managed to deliver, not to mention the humor. Hell, Starfield doesn't even have a proper ship-flying mechanic built into the game, considering it's a damn space FPS/RPG. The game is constantly **** your immersive experience with loading screens in places where you would not expect to see one since Mass Effect 2 was released in 2010, a testament that Bugfesda doesn't care to update their gaming engine to modern standards and prefers to dump those resources in creating 100 variations of coffee mugs, books and cafeteria trays, or writing and incessant amount of completely pointless NPC dialog lines and an absurd amount of meaningless errands disguised as quests. Speaking of technology and its implementation, the game was released without Ray Tracing and DLSS, which took the community 1 day to create a mod for (go figure), with UI animations and interactions capped at 30 FPS on console and 60 FPS on PCs, which the community again took 1 day to increase to 120 FPS. On the UI part, the menus are convoluted and difficult to navigate with a 2-page list of shortcuts that change from one menu screen to the other. The main game UI, even though it is minimalistic and beautiful to look at, is badly designed with everything on the screen having the same white color and no animations. Clearly whoever worked on this, had no idea about color theory, visual perceptions such as depth and contrast detection, and generally how human vision and perception work. They tried to copy the UI of Elite: Dangerous, but again failed, hopefully, someone will create a mod to fix this in the near future. Last, but not least: the bugs. There are a lot of bugs: from NPCs flying in the air, to ships ejecting you in the middle of space, to NPCs talking with their back at you, to items disappearing from your inventory, this game has it all. I don't think any amount of additional development could have fixed it, the game could've been released in 2025 and still would've had the same issues. The problem is with internal resource allocation, feature prioritization, and technological innovation and implementation. In all honesty, Microsoft cannot save this company no matter how hard they try. The only way to bring Bugfesda on track is to completely reset and restructure them, starting with removing Toad Howard from any decision-making position. Every game he spearheaded in the last decade ended up a complete failure at launch and a blatant cash-grab during its roadmap, which sparked constant controversy and PR backlash.

The best RPG game I have ever played. A true GOTY that brings back the true essence or role-playing that I grew up with playing titles like Fallout 1 & 2, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, or the original Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. This game truly feels that it was made by gamers for gamers, it really pays homage to all the studios that got bought, dismantled, or bankrupted by the greedy corporations. Through BG3 and Larian lives the legacy of Interplay, Black Isle, Obsidian, and many more. Thank you, Larian, keep up the great work and hopefully one day you will be able to buy the Fallout license and make a proper and complete Van Buren game out of it.

The only fun part of this game is the campaign. Once that's over, there is no incentive to continue playing, everything feels slow and boring and is a chore to do and completely unrewarding. I'd rather do laundry and the dishes than play this game. The worst part is how the seasons are designed in a massive predatory way. I might sound crazy, but I think Bethesda would've done a better job at this game.

This is what you get if: 1. You try to copy Warzone 2. Only care about initial pre-order revenue 3. Put more money into marketing than development 4. Fail to retain your best employees and think that everyone is dispensible 5. Refuse to listen to and implement feedback from the player-base 6. As a company give bonuses based on financial figures instead of consumer satisfaction 7. Have the nerve to blame it on the pandemic I would give this -10 if I could. Shame on you DICE for letting EA make you their b!&@h!

Lowest critic score is 75 and it's coming from a bunch of **** in Romania. ARE YOU **** ME? 22 positives? For this piece of **** sequel? My grandma can write a better script than these clowns. And Clint Mansel? Probably there for the name, couldn't hear anything new, same recycled sounds and tracks. Graphics are better in no budget indie games and RPG is down the toilet. **** YOU BIOWARE **** YOU EA **** YOU ORIGIN AND MOST IMPORTANT **** YOU STUPID PEOPLE WHO PAY FOR DAY 1 DLC

I will not try to balance any of the 2 reviews, more likely express my view after playing the trial of this game. First of all the idea of this game is awesome, it got me hooked from the beginning, I don't mind the lack of tutorials, but honestly everyone is forced into reading tons of forum posts, guides and continuously asking for help in chat. I'm seeing the same basic questions addressed over and over again, they really need to get starter pointers in game if they don't want to lose any more newbies. Not to mention character creation was probably thought while one of the 5 devs took a dump. Trust me, in order to get your character right, you will reroll (meaning delete and recreate it) at least 3-5 times. Second I'll talk about the world and it's one big problem: it's empty. You run 10 minutes and find 6 pigs, walk another 15 and find 3 bears. It looks beautiful and it's meant to be explored, but there's no reward for explorers in this game. One might wander about 1 hour collecting some herbs and hunting prey, but there's no use for that other than one's own satisfaction. I won't talk much about bugs because I would spend my word limit on this subject. Consider this to be the most bugged out, glitched and laggy fps you would ever play. Targets snap around you, npc's dissapear, you are attacked by invisible beasts, not to mention falling through the ground and walking though obstacles. THIS GAME IS A BUGFEST, REMEBER THAT BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT. Open world pvp. This is a problem for new players because they are constantly ganked anywhere possible. I would suggest they take the approach of making a "safe" server or at least try to implement EVE Online's solution to open world pvp. It is frustrating, but a few days into the game you will learn when to fight and when to run or hide, who to attack and where, what to loot and what not to. The problem with MO besides the bugs glitches and difficulty of use it's that it only offers rewards for hardcore pvpers. You can't just hope to make a butcher/tamer/archer and be awarded or have fun. It all resumes to killing other people anywhere and mostly for the simple stupid reason that he doesn't kill you first. I need to add that in my opinion this game is roughly in beta stage and Star Vault are charging way too much for such an unpolished piece of software, and most of the people who play are doing it so they can keep the development going on. Which leads me to the community and I have to admit despite the stupid priest gankers, resource campers and newb-killers, the rest of the community is very friendly and helpful, but that is mainly because they couldn't survive either way. In conclusion I find Mortal Online to be the best candidate for a sandbox mmofps, it has a lot to offer, but until the devs either hire a decent team and/or rethink most of the game's basics like the UI, targeting, collision detection, etc I see no real future besides a small base of a few thousand griefers and gankers. There is an expansion called Awakening announced for april 2012 that is said to remodel the game in most of it's aspects, but I will stay reluctant and see if time will tell how this game evolves. As someone else put it, Star Vault is a small company with a big dream, but let's hope all they are left with is something more than just a dream!

I am not a Batman fan, nor a comic book movie/game/magazine one, but this is probably one of the best games I've played in the past years. I cannot complain about windows live and other problems because I played this on my MAC. YES, this game is also available on OSX and it runs like a charm if your system not very old or basic. I have to say I enjoyed it better than Alice: The Madness Returns, although I am deeply unsatisfied with both games' maniacally obsessive compulsive collection of thousands of crap scattered around just to keep you from focusing and enjoying the story line.

I only played the demo but I really struggled to get to the end of it, wanted to quit 1 hour earlier. To sum it up this game looks and feel like a Bioware clone done bad. The RPG elements are scarce and badly outlined. There is no real inventory, the list type is extremely unfriendly and hard to use. The whole menus are unfriendly and hard to get accustomed to. Speaking of RPG, the character creation is a joke, there's presets to be chosen from, neon glowing lipstick and hair colors, and ridiculous face tattoos. I'm baffled that in an age where facial 3D morphing is implemented in character creation, we are left with 20 premade choices! Crafting exists in this game but seems basic and too easy, not really a crafting in it's true name, just gather stuff in the world (gathering is a decent word, more likely looting) and assemble them in town. The lockpicking and dispell actions are very badly done: lockpicking is more based on your luck rather than your skill and in order to dispell you need to do it at least 10 times to get it right, badly explained and frustrating because it's time limited. Graphics are old, somewhere around the WOW age, but improved with tons of blur to make it look filtered. Colors look fake, objects are squarish and again too much blur. Dialogues are well made, congrats to that, the combat system is very well made, no complaints there, also I haven't noticed bugs or glitches. Quests are a bit too many and too stupid, but maybe you need them to appeal to a fantasy niche. Creatures are extremely cartoonish and child like, again the fantasy niche. All in all I had the feel of playing a more budget-wise version of Torchlight and after getting bored through the demo I am convinced this is not for me and do not see much potential of it.

The only bad thing I can complain about this game is the collectables part throughout the chapters which include all those bottles, memories, pig snouts, etc that really make anyone who plays divert his/her attention from enjoying the game and atmosphere, the story line and humor to the tedious and frustrating part of collecting everything. Of course one could easily finish the game and not worry about all this, but it's so frustrating to try and clear out all the tiny spaces and alternate routes, when you are done with a chapter and see you got 1x and 2y left to collect you feel like bashing your head on the desk. Not to say re-playing a chapter or part of a chapter will reset your autosave to that particular part. In the end this is an amazing game that would have been less frustrating if they left the collectibles part out of your face.

My experience with Earthrise lasted somewhere under 2 hours after receiving a trial code in my inbox. Unfortunately there is nothing new, good, revolutionary or even addictive to this game. The graphics are good indeed, but even with every setting on low, this games fails to deliver a playable FPS while using a high end PC only 3 years old. Still it was manageable to a point to test out the content. The game starts with a bunch of tutorial quests that are merely talk to X kind, like I said they are few, filled with long and boring text that fails to explain anything about the world you are in. The Earthrise world is literally a sandbox, but without any toys and with a few plastic soldiers scattered around. It took me 10 minutes of walking to get from the quest giver to the mob killing zone and the path between them was empty space. Yes, no other npcs, no game objects, no events, no nothing. Just beautiful landscape and badly rendered water. The game has no atmosphere at all, even the NPCs look and act like 3d cardboard boxes. The AI is a total joke, I was having trouble killing quest npc because they were constantly going out of battle and reseting health. The server/client issues are so bad and the lag between them is so big, it makes the "revolutionary" targeting system completely unusable, so fighting is merely just spamming left click like a mad man. A quick look in the skill section and you are lost. There are a few hundred skills to pick from which you get based on points you get from doing quests. They are not self-explanatory at all, and most of them resemble each other. All in all I gave this game 2 points because: 1. It has amazing graphics if your machine can handle it so not having a high end 3 month old rig won't cut it and 2. It has one of the best looking UI I have seen: it's clean, simple and intuitive (unlike other mmos where you get used to it only after a whole week or in some cases a month), but it doesn't make up for all the other mistakes. Too bad this game does not deliver, the idea behind it might be one of the coolest I've seen sine Tabula Rasa.

This game is nothing more than a WOW clone with some improvements and fine touches here and there, few bugs and a very prompt developer studio when it comes to patches and adding content so far. the graphics are very nice although while running the game using the recommended hardware, FPS starts to drop at medium settings. The Soul engine is a nice addition to RPG, but it does not work very well and it confuses players ranging from newbies to mmo veterans. The crafting is an absolute joke, there is nothing new here, the same professions you can find in any other fantasy mmo and leveling them up is a child's play. The quests add nothing new to the genre, same kill X, gather Y time intensive tasks to keep you more in game. The gear and items are basically the same as in most mmos, I encountered dozens of profession items that have the same icons and names and probably even prices wow has. I have to admit the Rifts are probably the best addition especially because it really makes players group together via the auto grouping feature so at least they are trying to not make it another solo rpg. All in all it is not worth it, either if you want an alternative to wow (and I'm comparing it to wow because Trion marketed this game as a better, more polished alternative to the giant). So in conclusion this looked to me as a game especially made so that Trion can grab a big share of the mmo market and grow some capital. Honestly, you get more atmosphere and involvement from LOTRO (which is free) that this game. On the other hand, I am more curious on their upcoming game Defiance, I hope it will sur class this yet another second hand fantasy mmo.
