Barbie10
Jul 23, 2023
Barbie lifts up to its expectations. The whole concept and the demonstration of the female & male roles in society really well put. While Margot & Ryan are the main ones and - specifically- Margot is the soul of the film, America Ferrera gives a fantastic job and THAT MONOLOGUE really touches the audience. The soundtrack is incredibly superb and fits like a glove in various scenes. It really is a modern classic, and people who say that it is 'feminist propaganda' or a 'woke film' really don't understand the film.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery8
Dec 24, 2022
It has slow moments in the narrative, but still has the quality **** second installment. Obviously, the first is uncomparable with this one. It's amazing the parody of the "Elon Musk" archetype is represented here.

Avatar: The Way of Water9
Dec 17, 2022
If you don't consider this film the cinematography event of the year, then you are wrong. The Way of Water it's worth the long wait James Cameron put us through.
The storyline, the photography, and the visual effects are flawless.
And a big shout out to Sigourney Weaver!

Hocus Pocus 27
Oct 1, 2022
It still has an easy narrative, a bit of camp from the S. Sisters, the musical(s) number(s), and a good nostalgia, it doesn't have to be a complex film.

Not Okay7
Aug 14, 2022
The film gives us a real demonstration of what your actions can do and affect other people surrounding you. Good performances of Zoey Deutch, Dylan O'Brien, and Mia Isaac. The film does not have slow moments, really hit the goal is trying to achieve. It's not a complicated film, is very easy to understand and not get bored by it.

Elvis7
Aug 14, 2022
I believe that the film really presents Elvis Presley's influences, how he got his ****, and how Colonel exploited him. Austin Butler could have one of the best performances of this year. Hanks is really intimidating in the antagonist role. However, I felt in some moments the scene had a slow narrative. The soundtrack is pretty good, with other artists singing Elvis' songs. And you can see the seal of Luhrmann in this film, it's all over, and I love that.

The Northman8
Jun 19, 2022
Oh yes is using the narrative of the hero's travel, but the Robert Eggers is so incredible and does impeccable work, audiences should go to the cinemas and support this kind of film and the more commercial ones. It has excellent cinematography, and great acting (hats off to Kidman, Taylor-Joy, and Skarsgard). Overall this film will take a heroic journey we all need.

Everything Everywhere All at Once8
Jun 19, 2022
Yes, the film is probably using a topic already used in superhero films, but what really stands out is its narrative, acting, and directing.

Being the Ricardos7
Dec 21, 2021
Great chemistry between Kidman and Bardem, good directing in this drama with bit of comedy, a great cast, really enjoy it.

Spider-Man: No Way Home8
Dec 17, 2021
The film has a good rhythm, does not bore at all. "No way home" simply becomes a classic Spider-Man film, and it introduces a new life for Peter's Tom Holland.

Don't Look Up4
Dec 12, 2021
Oh god, I had high hopes for this film, but we all know what happen you get a star-studded cast, big names with not big roles at all. Jokes did not land at all. I'm really disappointed, this could've been the best comedy of the year, but it's not.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again6
Dec 7, 2021
When you don't put Meryl Streep in the film it is notorious the absence, but the adding of Cher is so strangely perfect. Lily James transforms into a young Donna, she is a great actress. The boys still don't sing. I think it's on purpose.
The choices of the younger versions of the O.G. cast is perfect, but the fact they changed the story of how Donna met the dads really confused me.

Mamma Mia!6
Dec 7, 2021
Yes, it really is a feel-good film, the cast is on point, they all match the personality of their characters, I think that the relationship between Donna and her friends overshadow the relationship of Sophie and Sky. Superb mixing of the songs with the script (I think the "Dancing Queen" scene is memorable and also "The Winner Takes It All"). The bonding between Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried really feels like a mother and daughter bond. The male actors really need to get singing lessons.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban10
Dec 5, 2021
This film is the best one when it comes to the cinematography, the difference between Cuarón and Potter 1 & 2 director, Chris Columbus, is notable, even the third film changes into a darker mood, which is great because all fans knows that the real villain is coming soon and this is just the preparing of that event (which is revealed on the fourth film).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 210
Dec 5, 2021
This franchise really show how to end a saga, after several years, the Potter films ended perfectly. Probably missing a few things from the book, but it always happens when a book gets adapted to a film. What really standouts is the visual effects, the make-up & costume, the music, the camera's movement. Really impressive.

The Godfather10
Dec 5, 2021
It really is impossible to say something negative to this film, it is a cult classic film. Every film school presents this films, so they can study the incredible narrative, the acting, the directing, the interacting between the characters, really, really superb.

The Devil All the Time5
Nov 28, 2021
The narrative was a bit longer than I expected, nevertheless the acting took care of carrying the movie.

Free Guy5
Nov 21, 2021
I mean... Yes for a family film is good, if you're into seeing Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds. The concept of the film is not the worst I've heard, but it's not the best.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings5
Nov 21, 2021
The problem with MCU films is that they use the same formula over and over and sometimes people love that, because that's pretty much the essence (when it comes to superhero films), and there are people who are just tired of it. Shang-Chi repeats the formula, there is nothing new (except of the introduction of this character and the role he'll have in the next films). Great choreography in the fight scenes tho.

Last Night in Soho6
Nov 21, 2021
As I was watching it, the film was moving in a good way, but by the third act it changes my perspective of it. There were a few things they mislead through the end of the film & I believe they did it, so it can have a good ending for the lead role and the way they reveal the secret it wasn't a shock at all. But apart from that McKenzie, Taylor-Joy & Rigg gave superb acting skills, but mostly McKenzie.

tick, tick...Boom!8
Nov 21, 2021
A great opera prime of theater actor Lin Manuel Miranda, "tick, tick... boom!" gives one of Andrews's great performances of his career and also gives Lin Manuel's a good chance of being a great musical director, because one thing film-musical needs, and it's a person who really understands musicals. In some moments the film is slow, but the catchy tunes make up for it.

Dune: Part One8
Oct 24, 2021
Villenueve's Dune gives a proper adaptation of the first book. With a great ensemble cast and a great soundtrack, "Dune" could be one of the best films of this year. It's great to see a sci-fi film, that shows more of the politics, religious part of the book, rather than the fight scenes.
Oct 8, 2021
Madame X8
Oct 8, 2021
With a mix of her greatest hits plus the new songs of her 2019 album "Madame X" is a triumph in Madonna's visual catalog, with a far better editing than her previous concerts, the quality of the sound is trascendant.

Cinderella3
Sep 3, 2021
We have the good side of jukebox musicals, and we have the bad side of jukebox musicals. This film is the bad side. Except from Porter and Menzel, they steal every scene.

Space Jam: A New Legacy3
Jul 17, 2021
Really disappointed that LeBron James did not effort to act good in this picture. Even the first one was more comic than this one. There little bits funny, but the picture is really long.

Cruella8
May 30, 2021
Even though it can be felt a bit long, "Cruella" is this campy-devil wears Prada alike meets Westwood and Dior with a good rewrite of this beloved villain. The two Emmas are perfect for the roles, specially Stone who embodies perfectly Ms. DeVil and extends the universe of this character. A big shout-out to the costume designers (already doing a campaign for the Oscars, only in costume desing).

The Prom7
Dec 11, 2020
Ryan Murphy returns to the musical world since Glee and makes this Broadway show adaptation in a jazzy LGBTQ empowerment musical comedy. Although Corden makes a caricaturistic gay character, which is forgettable, the other cast members are the true performers here. A big shout out to Jo Ellen Perlman and Ariana DeBose.

The Life Ahead9
Nov 13, 2020
Sophia Loren proves herself she still the living legend of the Golden Years in Hollywood, with a majestic performance such as this, makes The Life Ahead another excellent film for her filmography
Sep 5, 2020
Mulan9
Sep 5, 2020
With a few changes from the original film, Mulan still captures the essence of the first film, which is the empowerment **** in a conservative world and bringing back the honor of her family. So what they cut out the music and romanticism, Mulan's story is not a glimpse romantic musical. It is the story **** who wants to change the rules.

Cats2
Jan 23, 2020
It's a big disappointment how this film can ruin one of the best musicals ever made in theatre. The new arrengements are a chemical mess, the acting is poor, can't believe Dench & McKellen are involve in this.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi4
Dec 15, 2017
The movie is so long, but I don't know how many time I hold my breath, but sadly the script I think it was poor and plane. I cried in all Leia's scenes.
