Gears of War: Judgment6
May 9, 2025
Gears of War: Judgment is a spin-off game set 14 years before the first game's events. This was the next game in the Gears of War lineup after Gears of War 3. Now, I have many issues with this game. From the mission design that prioritized the quantity of the missions rather than the quality of those missions. The overall story that was told felt rushed and like a DLC. The defense wave base missions felt like some of the worst missions. From having to fight two Berserker-class enemies, your primary method to take them down is using the finite amount of flamethrowers. If you use all that, you might be in for a 30-minute waste as you shoot the enemy doing barely any meaningful damage. Also, the issue with having levels and missions meant to be beaten on one life implies the lack of checkpoints. I find that some of the only things I found applying were the "Star" mechanism, where you could collect stars by doing things, and I also liked that your squad felt useful. While some declassified missions are borderline impossible, most felt fair for the added challenge that was being added to the mission. My closing complaint is that I played this on Hardcore, and this might have been the easiest hardcore experience I have had in a game.

Back to college football, one of easily the best sports out there, and one of my biggest fears was this game was gonna be a Madden skin game and that it was not. I love it a lot. There is still much to improve, but overall,l it's a good game

This game takes a genre in puzzle and a platformer game and does something that has really never been done before. DONTNOD made a game that is a relaxing experience. This game does not make me want to throw my controller on the ground whenever I make a mistake. The mystery of this world that the game is in is beautiful and, at times, sad and scary. The game does a magnificent job of nonverbal and visual storytelling. A player could play the whole game without reading a single text-based log and still be immersed in the story. For a mechanically simple game, you have control over your right hand and left hand. It still manages to add a level of depth between the gameplay mechanics that are presented in each chapter. This game always makes you feel that you are one step closer to the end whenever you make any progress climbing. On paper, this game is a 10/10; it is a work of art in every way. But this game has one minor flaw. This is in the form of the last **** this game is broken up into 6 Chapters. With each chapter adding a new game mechanic for the player, any time the game introduces a new mechanic, it always feels organic. From having to climb rock bugs to traverse large walls to putting spikes into the rocks to ensure if you make a mistake, you won't be set back too far, Chapter 6 fast-tracks you to the very top of the tower and basically tells you to climb this object. To me, that felt like a gut punch. Also, the fact it is the shortest chapter in length and is the only chapter not to add any new gameplay mechanic is the reason why I can't give this game a 10/10

Compared to the launch, this game went from a 1 out of 10 to 7. Much has improved with the game itself, and I love that the game file size is small and easy to install, but reliance on cloud streaming creates new problems that need to be addressed. My biggest issue that breaks immersion is the incorrect max altitudes

To find 75 charters to write this review is challenging because there is so much about this game that is awful like removing the NBA draft. That I am speechless for what this franchise has become.

This game leaves much to be desired, and it's a shame that it does not have a pro-like career mode. It is weird if you don't have a player who is a person of color. Your whole dad character does not make much since the voice dose not match the character. But when looking at it from a game play point, it has greatly improved beside,s the announcers just feel hallow and truly a shell of the prior games

It's a game that you play to chill and relax. Now, I don't own any of the paid DLC, but I have played through the base game, and I love the satisfying nature of the ding when you fully clean an object. My only real complaint with the game is that I wish they had a different color or an option to change the color when trying to highlight dirt.

Final Fantasy XIII8
May 10, 2024
This game is art from a perfect game, but you gotta hand it to the creators of Final Fantasy 13. They had an image and they had a vision for what they wanted this game to be. All the criticism comes from this game being a linear game. A game that may be too linear sometimes is a corridor simulator. While I understand that this game wouldn't have worked out if it hadn't let the earth just come, Hass has to be linear to tell the story; I want to know in the story, find the best stories I've seen in gaming in a while. Well, the van is not the best villain. I know they were trying hard to make a game where you can enjoy the villain. I will say this is the first entirely HD Final Fantasy game; I give him slack on this game for not making an open a more breathtaking game and taking a lot of inspiration from other games.

Path of Exile8
May 10, 2024
Path of Exile is a game inspired by games like Diabloo. But what I tPOE, as I will call it, does far better than any Diablo game is the level of freedom when building your character, which is genuinely up to you. With Diablo,o there isn't that same level of character freedom. You pick a class ss, which is the class you play with during period w. YouPOE, you can choose a ranger that typically uses arrows and is more of a ranged attacker, and you can give her daggers or spiked knuckles if you have the stats to equip said weapon or armor. Now the Game is far from perfect search as the time leagues that are available in the game POE does a really good job at getting you involved very early on and that's some thing I cannot say the same about Diablo in those types of games so well not a perfect video game it definitely deserves a 8

As this was my first ever Souls game or From software game, I didn't know much about what I was getting myself into. Still, all I knew was that they made games that don't hold your hand and have an exciting way of telling the story. That is all that I knew. This game will make you rage and get angry, but taking down a boss or overcoming an area you have been struggling with for hours feels incredible.

Starfield8
May 8, 2024
I think Starfield gets way too much hate for what the game is now. Is the game perfect? No, it is not perfect now. I can understand some of the criticisms this game gets, from the aged graphics to the outdated gameplay mechanics. Those are all valid criticisms, but my reason for loving this game is the level of content and time I can put into this game, and knowing the game is the game, there is no DLC or paid content.

Tales of Arise9
May 8, 2024
Okay, this is my first Tales video game, but I have to say I do what I want to do extremely well. It does not pull its punches. Characters that you thought would be saved die, but some characters will live. The game's combat is outstanding, and the leveling mechanics and skill progression are outstanding. The level of exploitation is amazing without being overwhelming.

Ok, there is a fine line between what I would say is good and what I would say is terrible now, I have not finished this game, so my review goes up or down, but what can I say from the start? PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IN ENGLISH AUDIO; PLAY IT IN RUSSIAN. I say that because it has been confirmed that the game was initially recorded first in Russian, and later in development, they dubbed it the other languages. Now I can't speak for language besides English. The English voice acting is cringy.

Elden Ring9
Mar 22, 2022
This has to be my absolute favorite Souls-like and From Software game. The game delivers on its promises of retaining that soul's formula. This game had me dying in my first 5 minutes of playtime. This will come across as frustrating for some, but that's what it's intended to be. The open-world nature of the Lands Bettwen is majestic in even the most colorless regions. One of the main reasons I found Sekiro to be boring is that all locations had the same feel. Most of the enemies were natural and earthly, looking to be rememberable. Elden RIng is everything I was hoping for in a From game. And if I could give a more accurate rating, I would give this a 9.9 because Elden RIng, in my eye, is flawless in world-building and charter design. I have one major criticism of the game, and I admit it is quite a funny criticism. In my eye, it has one of the worst opening theme songs in any of the From games. But besides that main criticism, this game is flawless and my pick for a possible match of the year.
