The Last of Us Part II10
Jul 2, 2020
This game is a gut wrenching masterpiece that you will feel in your heart long after the credits roll. It's a testament to how much we love the characters from the first game after only spending 15 hours with them No amount of spoilers or hate from angry gamers can prepare you for the actual story of this game. You have to play it from beginning to end to fully understand what Part II is actually about- and when the game reaches it's end you will not be the same. Very few stories in any type of format can deliver such emotional blows one after the other and yet still somehow make you want to continue. This game is about violence, about actions with severe consequences, about forgiveness, loss, pain, unfairness, cruelty and a **** heart. Please enjoy.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses10
Nov 30, 2019
Fire Emblem Three Houses is an immersive game that adds a fresh perspective to the series and is a must have for any Nintendo Switch user. While the sheer amount of things to do is quite overwhelming the game does notice that by only giving you a set number of options to use very week- and the key of this game is in the planning. The world is complex, the characters unique and intriguing and the plot is extremely entertaining. Make no mistake that whatever house you choose in the very beginning of the game will only get you through 60 to 70 hours of that houses story. You will have learned a lot, but there are two more houses you would have to pick again (if you want to get the full story ). This game keeps up the pace with every single week being more and more insightful into the lives of the students and the teachers. In part social in part tactical the game combines the best of both worlds with you the player being able to teach and interact with you students, motivate them, make decisions together that truly impact the game. At the same time also giving you a fair share of combat where you are forced to rely on your tactical skills to reach the end (and here I admissive most fervently to play in Classic mode) The main character does not speak, and his story might not be the most compelling of them all, but the game never once lets you get bored. You have a dozen or more fully realised characters that require just as much attention and have incredible stories of their own- And this is probably the greatest part about the game. I fully recommend this incredible game for this storytelling skills, strong characters and tactical combat.

Dark Souls III: The Ringed City9
Apr 1, 2017
One of the best games of 2016 and most likely one of the best game franchises ever, The Ringed City has us going to the world end in this last instalment DLC. A very rounded expansion, in both level design, lore and boss battles- since it offers an improved challenge from the first. It offers something for does interested in challenges, in story depth and exploration, even if it all seems way to rushed in the end, as though trying to fit it all under a 8 hour mark. All in all, officially this is the last instalment in the Souls franchise, and I have to say this DLC is a love letter to the fans

Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel8
Mar 31, 2017
After the first playthrough I did feel that it was not up to par as to what we have come to aspect from a DLC of a Souls game. Going back into it and being a bit more meticulous in my exploration I did find answers towards very important questions about the main villain of DS3 and that his world I had seen before ( No spoilers further). Nothing that comes out of FROMSoftware is anything but meticulously planned and this DLC is no exception. The lore and the story are hidden in the secret you must search and explore to find. The gameplay is difficult, even for a 80 LVL character that the dev team suggested. A lot of mob enemies ready to ambush and kill you. At the same time, this frozen land has a charm of it's own sometimes deadly if you stand to close and too still next to a tree. The bosses, even if there are merely two have some interesting mechanics and make for some exiting fights (Even if one of them, with its 3 phases, does make one feel about to quit) But again, no further spoilers here. All in all, Ashes of Ariandel is a subtle addition, not only to the story of Dark Souls III, but to the lore of the Souls series, in a very interesting way.

Dark Souls III10
Mar 30, 2017
Having played the first two games and their respective DLC's, I come here with some scepticism as to how this story would fit in. The standard's were very high, expectations to the roof. Where the first, I personally felt, lacked a bit in combat, this game give it to the fullest. Where the second lacked in meaningful NPC's and stories, this one has a plenty. From the most common merchant, to the secret boss, everything is thought out and planned in classical Dark Souls fashion. The gameplay is familiar enough to scare you exploring, but inviting just a bit, to make you want to test different play styles. It's an adventure that packs 60 hours of gameplay in your first try, maybe even more if you dare go far off the beaten path. And speaking of such a path, maybe it's only downfall is the linear story towards the end. For Souls fans who always sough the mystery of where to go next (I myself have spent hours on youtube figuring that out) It is a bit of a disappointment. The bosses in this game are the most diverse in the entire Souls franchise. Big, scary, fast, unforgiving, there is a favourite boss for everybody. I might go as far as to say that there is one boss that gives Artorias, and OnS a run for their gold coin. In the end, Dark Souls III answers many lore questions, but raises quite a few knew ones. A beautifully incandescent addition to the Souls franchise, and a great stand alone game. You need not know, the stories that came before this, enjoy and praise the sun.

Nioh10
Mar 10, 2017
It is undeniable how much it was influence by Dark Souls, but this game stands on it's own. Borrowing the best of two words, Nioh is a refreshing take on a difficult style game. If you've played Bloodborne or Demon Souls or the Dark Souls trilogy- you will love it, because it is just as difficult ( maybe a bit more in some areas) and the rewards are just as ripe. The atmosphere is intense, encouraging exploration, the enemies are intelligent and original creations. This brings me to the bosses where, in my opinion, might be it's greatest asset and at the same time an incredibly diverse set of creatures. From Fiends to Humanoids to Demons to Water Blobs, Nioh has them all and each one of them is different, each one of them demands a completely different set of armor and weapon stance to fully be in control of said battle. Worth the buy for sure, I have spent dozens of hours exploring and progressing through the main quest and I am still not half way there. It might be the next generation of Action RPG now that Dark Souls is coming to an epic conclusion of its Saga.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood9
Oct 24, 2016
If you ever wandered how your nightmares would look like running towards you- this is the game for you. Clowns, spiders, ghosts, zombies, all are terryfing and scary and you can't run away. Trapped into a rollercoaster from hell you dive into this twisted spin-off of the original Until Dawn and have to fight (with guns) your way to the end. It spawns seven levels of terror, each more difficult than the last. Even if at first it seems like there is no story to the game, it apparently keeps the trademark of butterfly effect, but I will leave it to you to discover what exactly are the choices that will change your gameplay experience. A must buy for the VR, worth every penny, maybe the only downside to the game is that it relies to much on jump scares without realising that a bloody clown running towards you with a knife is scary enough.

The Playroom VR9
Oct 24, 2016
It gets point for being free, for variety, for multiplayer and replay value. This free to play multi game station is the best way to immerse yourself in the VR world. One of its biggest attributions is the multiplayer function. One player can have the Vr headset and the others the gamepads and you all feel connected. I would love to see some updates for the games or additional ones for this, because it's the best combination of fun and games.

Here They Lie8
Oct 24, 2016
Coming in as one of the options of the lineup for the VR launch, Here That Lie represents a strong contender for your pleasure. It's complete emergence into this weird and twisted world, reminiscent of Silent Hill brings a does of terror, even when nothing really happens except walking around. Since most of the games for the Vr at the moment offer less then 1h of gameplay you would like to spend your money on something with depth. Here They Lie has that. It has the depth **** that offers a great perspective as to what a horror game in this new technology will look like. The atmosphere is terrifying from the moment you step on the train. The world seems large and emerging. One downside of the game is the lack of interactivity- you seem more of a visitor into a world of someone else is imagining. Even though, along the way, there will be choices for you to make that might or not effect the gameplay. With that being said, I believe it is one of the best games out there at the moment for the VR, worth every penny.

Outlast10
May 18, 2015
It has all the elements of a chill-to-the-bone scare. It gives intense scares and thrills without overdoing it. The story in itself is quite interesting and captivating for a horror game, making you want to dwell even more in the depth of the Asylum. The night-vision camera is an element that we have seen and dreaded in many horror films, but to have it implemented into a game in witch we have to handle it- that just make it 100% more terrifying. Hopefully they will make that sequel happen soon ( even if the story is not related to this one). Outlast has just set the bar for the modern day horror games.
