Until Dawn: Rush of Blood

It might not be considered a breakthrough a couple of years down the line, but today Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is THE experience everyone should witness and a perfect example of what VR can and should do.

Until Dawn Rush of Blood is one of the PlayStation VR highlights and successfully takes the tried and tested rail shooter and transforms it into an over the top game that almost makes it like you are there. Add in lots of collectibles to be found and some different paths the replay value is quite decent. Great graphics and controls, Until Dawn Rush of Blood is a must have VR game for your PlayStation VR!

If Supermassive could have laid off the stupid boss mechanics, this would have been a perfect VR horror game. It skilfully walks the line of tense, psychological horror and creepy, boo-scares for an experience that you won't forget for a while - in fact, we've dreamt about it. Damn those spiders.

A solid introduction to VR scares, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a surreal and creepy experience that keeps you on the edge of the seat, though more could have been done to take horror games to the next level.

A good on-rails virtual reality shooter. At times the scares can feel cheap, and the fact that it uses the same scare over and over again means you’ll either get bored or annoyed by it.

Rush of Blood has too many moments when you expect a jump scare, hunting for points and goodies is not as enjoyable as it should be and its bosses are boring. [13/2016, p.78]

Rush of Blood can be completed in roughly an hour and a half, and though you can unlock a few alternate paths in a couple of levels, they generally lead to more of the same--just in a different arrangement. Rush of Blood has a disturbing flavor overall, but that alone can't save what amounts to a largely predictable experience filled with straightforward action, dumb enemies, and predictable frights.

This is an excellent action / horror game for VR. It doesn't make me nauseous like other VR games and it is a good implementation. It got to do with sitting still and the roller coaster moving you. The PSVR is a low end / affordable headset but I hope they will update its screen resolution in future versions.

Here is a under rated game due to bias opinion by the paid critics. This short game is one of the best games for PSVR its a game you will want to play over and over **** takes you on a nice roller coaster ride inside your nightmare, it has small yet fun scares, in this game your whole arm appears on screen not just your hands its loads of fun. It is disappointing to read reviews that base part of their rating on the ties to Until Dawn. Rate games for what they are and have fun.

Very fun experience (don't exprect a story or anything else) for the budding VR genre. It has serioius limitations as of yet, but there's great potential in VR games. They shouldn!'t be longer than this, this is the perfect length for VR -- after a while your head starts to hurt :(

good vr game. many good scary moments. i wish there was more content in the game. Also controls are much to be desired. i find myself calibrating move controllers all the time in this game.

This game is straight to the point, a horror game designed to make you tense and delivers on a lot of jumps scares. I am glad my neighbours don't have kids as I have cursed very loudly playing this game. It is also great to watch a friend react to this too! Sitting in the cart looking are the guns in your hands feel really realistic with the Move controllers and because the track is mostly straight its easier on the stomach. The main frustration with the game lies with the difficulty. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to die that defeats the point but it should be easier. On many of the levels I died in the same place multiple times, you then have to relive the same jumps scariest and gruesome scenes, which is now just unpleasant and the initial scare is replaced with irritation. Particularly when friends try out a level they just give up at this point if they fail a few times because the adrenaline is lost and replaced with frustration. Ultimately this is a fun ghost train that creates tension and fear throughout. VR obviously has good potential for horror and this delivers the cheap thrills.
