Alan Wake II is a well-made triple-A videogame. World-building, narrative and dramaturgy are excellent. I wish they had included wider, more open areas to discover. And there should be more dialogues with bystanding NPCs. All in all a solid 8/10

Piranha Bytes last good game and the second best in the whole Gothc-Series (after the superb "Gothic 2"). Let's hope they'll remaster it one day!

One of the best RPGs ever made. On par with TES: Morrowind. Let's hope there will be a good remastered version, soon. Just like they plan with Gothic 1.

When this game was released in 2013, it was an utterly disgusting mess. Didn't want to touch this ever again, but some days ago I had this one on the radar thanks to Steam ads. So I gave it a try and I have to admit: The developers did their best to clean up the mess and make this a real game. Now 'Blade of Destiny' is a fun old school RPG with turn-based combat. For Pen & Paper fans and RPG nostalgics a must-buy!

Innovative and atmospheric RPG. This is an underrated little gem! Convincingly combines RPG with TPP-action and adventure elements. Even reminds "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments" a bit. Love it! 9-10/10

Call of Cthulhu (2018) is easily the best game based on the H.P. Lovecraft mythology that has ever seen the light of day! The story itself is gripping, as well as the setting, narrative structure, presentation, dialoges, atmosphere, investigation style and mechanics are superb! The voicing is very good, too! Well, the graphics may be not the best you can expect from a game in 2018 sometimes, but that does not matter, since they are good enough.

Starting a little bit too shallow, this one is good fun. Getting better and better every next location. After 12 hours I'd say it deserves 8-9/10.

This is a good detective investigation game for sure. But sadly, it has many flaws: Driving car is clunky, the open world is not very interactive and the cases and investigation styles are repetitive. Biggest problem: Very often this isnt about deduction or interrogation techniques but just random choice clicking, hoping for the best result. You can't judge the face movements and behavior of the interrogated suspects properly because they are not well done. So in the end good new ideas and concepts, but somehow not the best implementation.

The Wild West as the setting for a highly realistic open world RPG is above all one thing and one thing only: Boring! It is very sad to think about all the effort that was needed to create such a big, marvelously looking and yet so boring open world. Maybe the best part of the game is the bigger cities where this game's visual realism peaks. But the American West of the 1890s is just too uninteresting and dumb to keep you engaged. Even the Mexican-American War or the American Civil War as a loose historical background would have saved this from being such a boring bummer, but no... So in the end it is all about watching some uninteresting criminal dimwits riding and shooting around somewhere in the pampa. One thing is sure, though: This game has been systematically over-hyped.
